  1. I got my info from http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.291, that did initially state 1/8NPT, then there was an additional note stating otherwise. As Jimmer is an engine guru, i have no doubt he is right, hopefully he can confirm.
  2. They are normally disconnected when doing a decat, no reason at all with the original downpipes. No wonder its blowing, the pipe attached to the downpipe is not capped or connected. The pipes are to get cooler air to the cats, so you will need to reconnect the 2 pipes. Either way you cant leave them open, will affect, the running etc.. not to mention the noise and an MOT fail.
  3. Very easy, unplug it, take off adjuster bolt and remove the long top bolt, job done
  4. No worries mate. Yes its getting there, still a way to go yet, but as you know polishing is a pain lol
  5. You can cap off the tube ends or loop them with pipe, but this is what i did, just to show you what isnt needed any more to compare to your pics. The white line in pic 1, is one place to join the pipe, i cut mine off.
  6. Those metal tubes in the arrow are redundant. you can get rid and use the rubber hoses they are connected too, to link the 2 branches on the main pipes. Give me 20 mins, i will take a pic of my spare engine in my garage, ive done it to. Then you can see what ive done.
  7. Yes mate im around, give me an email graham.jones@hotmail.co.uk and i will give you the address to meet.
  8. Check the fuse in the footwell, or the bulbs in the lights.
  9. Hi Daz, you need just the 2 pipes (that go to the matrix) if you still have the branches on, either use some pipe to link them or get them cut off and braised up. You dont need any of the tubing or pipe anymore, for the N/A You werent given duff info lol, you just didnt read it properly :tt2:
  10. Yes, good point, but sayers has a 93, which never had them on as standard :flowers: How is your car coming along Paul, you got the 99 spec bumper back on?
  11. Yep the 3 bolts that hold the lock mechanism sometimes need a tighten. There is voltage to the mechanism, which feeds the boot light when open, interior too.
  12. To re set the TPS, unplug the TPS while the engine is running, leave it for about 30 seconds then plug it back in. The ecu should re learn the setting.
  13. Snowleopard has first refusal mate. If he doesnt want it, then its yours. Just to let you know, i got this as a gift from madmax, gratis, so i will do the same, just cover the post.
  14. They never came with skirts as standard, all aftermarket body kits. Carmad makes these specifically for the zed, so you will have no fitting issues.
  15. Do you have seats in the back? If so, its a 2+2 (long wheel base) If you dont want door fillers, i would go for the S type in the link
  16. :happybday: have a great day :happybday:
  17. iirc Jimmy has et20 all round
  18. I bought some flat blades from Tesco for £8, i have to say work really well, no judder or squeak. My only criticism is the centre mounting/pivot point looks a little bulky. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/All-Aero-Flat-Windscreen-Wiper-Blades-Cars-Vans-/300453533077?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item45f46d1595
  19. I bet you cant wait. Hopefully you will have her back soon then.
  20. Hows your gearbox conversion going Paul?
  21. Ive just text him and he is away till thursday, so all safe and sound.
  22. Actuall theres an idea. We used to put some petrol in brake drums, set them alight to get rid of the oil and crap on them. Not sure if i really want to try that on alloy though
  23. Have you used sisal polishing mops with compound? make cutting so much easier. Ive tried many many, discs, varnish removing discs, brillo type discs, different courseness's ( if there is such a word lol) Ive got a couple of dremel tools as well with lots of different sanding and buffing discs. Its definitely down to the time and care taken for each grit till its ready to be polished. Its so easy to want to skip steps to get it done lol
  24. You can get a sandwich plate off ebay quite cheap, infact i have a spare chrome one if you want it. ive only tried it out for size on my spare engine, hasnt been used. There are a couple of other holes around the filter tree you could take a feed from, or oil temp from the sump plug, ive seen an adaptor advertised somewhere.
