  1. Thats going to look better Andy and i think you mentioned you might get a heavier tint on the side windows, if thats the case then have the template in black so it looks part of the window when the light is off and will look stunning when lit. Good work. Graham
  2. I agree, the part of the needle that tends to get caught on the facia is the rear point of the needle. The reason tends to be, people are a little too careful not to get glue coming out the centre hole of the dial as the el face is pressed down, so around the middle of the facia will lift and catch the needle. When you get the dash front off, move the needle up and down with your finger to see where it is catching. For the speedo and Rev you should be able to blow the needle around effortlessly to ensure good adhesion. The temp needle you can push it to the high and it will drop by itself, the fuel will stay wherever you put it until under load.
  3. mmm, i think.... and it would mean a bit more work, but how about getting your mate to make a plate with the letters cut out and light the letters, i think it will look stunning then, rather than, quite nice. But heading in the right direction and you know i mean any criticism in the best possible way Andy
  4. As above easier than a Vauxhall V6, and also what a crap place to put an oil cooler, right in the bloody V.
  5. Some good points there Rose, the marquee is erected by a company before hand, not sure if its the JAE organisers or our rep who decides where the Marquee goes. The perimeter of our stand was actually marked in white paint. I had visions of everything facing down the site from the road before i got there, but according to rules the marquee or any tents are not supposed to be erected under trees, plus we would be setting up our tents right next to the road, so we would be disturbed by the traffic going past. Setting of the car positions is always a tough one, we thought the horse shoe was quite a good idea, rather than in a line or rows, but i think it would be good to have some plots on paper as a guide for next year its also dependent on how many cars actually turn up to what will look good.
  6. Now thats a cracking idea Paul
  7. I think we have enough comedians on the forum to not warrant paying out several hundred pounds for an hour lol
  8. On a more serious note, i personally dont think we need a DJ, just a sound system to play music, after all the majority of the age group of members is not lending itself to rave or techno lol Its good to have the banter we do at night, without the music being too loud. There is already, 5 aside and tug of war organised by JAE in comps with other clubs, but i think fancy dress is a good option. I think having more comfortable furniture inside the marquee or huge bean bags like a Moroccan theme. Projector could be used for driving games, competitions in conjunction with an X box or PS3, even a gaming chair could be handy as we have alot of members into gaming.
  9. You dont need sound to watch porn :lol: I think use the projector of pics of the day on a loop or something, i doubt very much you could or be worth watching a movie. Normally Jasons Beast in the marquee is enough light and sound lol, but he had a problem with his head unit.
  10. The link above should be fine on your zed
  11. Its amazing how many zeds have the TPS set incorrectly and low base idle. I can vouch that the cheap Det sensors from ebay do not work. I fitted one on my new engine and still had a code 34, Jeff placed in the resistor and code now gone.
  12. Here is the air con auto diagnostics http://www.ttzd.com/tech/autocctech.html
  13. That will be your TCU ( time control unit) or might just need polishing
  14. Im sure Jeff will have come across the problem many a time and rather us guessing what it might be, im sure he will see this post and make a diagnosis.
  15. I think i know what it is and will look very nice once completed :shuriken:
  16. Well the valve on the heater matrix will open or close once the sensor has sensed the change in temp, set at the air con pod. Check first the heat ducting above the pedals. There are a couple of sensors, one pushed into the main duct and a pipe which senses the air and temp. If the pipe is not connected ( above the smaller ducting, up into the dash) then the temp will not change, no matter how you have it set. Then of course you might have a sticking matrix valve, to get to the valve, you will need to remove the air con pod ecu, little black box in the footwell, left of where the clutch is/would be on an auto. there are several motors which operate to open and close flaps, do you here anything when changing the temp?
  17. As long as you take a mechanic with you to check it out, just a case of having another car you might want. If its the only deal on the table with the best long term outcome then make sure you get something, that might be worth selling on, if you are not happy, rather than it being a sporty little number you fancy. Rule with your head, rather than your heart this time. Good luck with Graham
  18. PREDICTIVE MY :asshole: :hammer:
  19. A warm welcome to our new head moderator Gary Wilson. :thumbup1: Im sure he will continue to do a sterling job, so well done Gary. All the best Graham
