  1. works for me Joel :-) once i sort the mounts out, my next problem is i do not have a pc man enough to process video editing :-/
  2. you could also look at vw tiguan or audi q5 in those class/sizes Richard? or a q5 even. depends where Julia has to park, but the cayenne, touareg, q7 are large beasts to move about in tight spots
  3. i had some apexi ones on my first zed, and really enjoyed the scania air brake sounds, especially on a tunnel run. depends how you use your car, if you like the attention, and if your peers are running similar mods to their cars but when you become more serious about power, subtlety or stealth, then you will want to take them off and focus on the more expensive upgrades
  4. once i get some suitable mounts and some time, will let you know whether is was a good idea or not...
  5. Not specifically for the zed, but got a gopro hero to be able to incriminate myself in the zed and on the motorbikes.. Lol
  6. Lots of goodies going up for auction http://auctionhq.net/view-auctions/catalog/id/91/
  7. Unless he had to take evasive action into that lane to avoid the car in front who stopped unexpectedly to let someone pull into the lane, when not authorised to direct traffic in that manner...
  8. Before I go looking for a new one in the new year, just checking if anyone has or will have one for sale in the next month or so.
  9. it doesnt matter how well behaved the gathering is, if some nimby makes a complaint then it can be applied.
  10. Thanks Andrew. Have looked around a couple of times and found some of the empeg resources still live, but have completely forgot how or what to do with it. Maybe a project over Christmas break, dig it out and see if it still works and get familiar again. It is running whatever the latest hijack was in 2003 when I took it out of my zed when I sold it.
  11. Andrew, what would I need to do to get the empeg code working on my empeg, once I dig it out of the loft? Do you have any latest versions of the empeg software etc?
  12. Took z to Daz to swap out the b/mcyl, and check some other bits and pieces. Now got a little shopping list of minor bits and pieces to buy and get fitted in the new year, to get everything running just right.
  13. Pulled up alongside on my bike for a quick look when you pulled over to let me pass you
  14. I think the pheasant survived, but it tumbled off into a field, and I didn't bother stopping to look for it. Thanks for the link Andrew, seems like a right palaver, will save that for a weekend I really have nothing else to do, lol. Gary, there's always one comedihen in the flock
  15. Had a pheasant fly into the rear quarter glass, leave a bunch of feathers caught in the tailgate, and bump the aerial on its way past. So now it's slightly bent, and won't retract all the way down, as well as wobbles about loosely. Could have been worse, the other pheasant that was with it just skimmed across the front of the windscreen by a couple of inches. I think there was a spare in the box of bits I have. How difficult a job is it to replace?
  16. mmm KFC, i can probably help with that :-) welcome
  17. Doh, Search is my friend 8mm
  18. If I want to get a length of rubber pipe to replace any perished or split sections, what size is it? I/D?
  19. The twin headlamp conversion with 4x 110w bulbs drained the battery faster than the alternator could charge it, dread to think what that 4x cibie pod would have done to it
  20. Had an A-series as well, but never managed to get it on the road. Would like another one of those
  21. I had the 400 body kit on mine. As a young driver, it often needed a few little repairs... Lol
  22. this ^. how many things that happened to or affected you in the past, do you still think about from time to time today? some altercation, fight, wrong doing to you? now imagine if that was something that you know was wrong and possibly was a violation of you in some way. it will continue to nag away at you as long as you are alive/ now that the accusations are being taken seriously, people will come forward if they think there is a chance they will now be believed rather than dismissed. however, it is difficult to detmermine which of the allegations are now worth pursuing and which are not
  23. Yes, it's the rubber seal stuck to the moulding that confused me. Will have to carefully slide a blade under to separate it I guess, then glue it back as suggested on the link Gary gave.
