  1. i think the producers have gone for chemistry this time, by getting 2 presenters in who are friends and already have banter, rather than bringing in people that have to get to know each other and build chemistry as part of the show, as that didn't really work for them the last 2 attempts. Chris will hold up the passion and technical aspects of cars, as he has done since he got onboard. he knows his stuff and it shows. it all seemed to work ok for the first episode, although a little wooden and forced in places, but i am sure it will get better quicker than it did with the last trys.
  2. haha, i did that on the way to Le Mans one year, had heat stroke when we got there.
  3. best wishes Mike
  4. sorry to hear that too Jeff. sad to say that there are so many people like that about, and its steadily getting worse.
  5. sorry couldnt make it today, had to do some repairs to my daughters car this morning which had sprung an oil leak :/ will use the good weather this afternoon to investigate my leaky t-top now though. glad the weather stayed fine for you all and you managed to have a good meet :)
  6. There are plenty of better cars around for that money needing little or no work. That's not an 8k car, unless it has some very recent and expensive expensive upgrades on engine, brakes, interior that would be recoverable in the event that the rust is too big a job to fix. Even then, it still sounds expensive.
  7. on our way back tonight, our party was split across 2 crossings and we all missed that one, so no worries. was thinking how good this trip would have been in the zed, and would love to do a club trip
  8. we are doing most of that in reverse on the bikes this week, apart from the med ferry. sailed down to Santander, across the bottom of the Pyrenees through Vitoria-Gasteuz, Jaca, up to Andorra and via Millau, Saumur and Le Mans back to Caen. The N260 is a brilliant bit of road.
  9. i have applied for club stand Joel, but waiting to hear back
  10. congratulations, you got yourself a new mechanic with hands that can work in the 300ZX engine bay :lol:
  11. sorry to hear that, i know the feeling, but thats a lot of spec to send for scrap? https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?190351-Selling-up&p=1989424#post1989424
  12. i might try for this, although i am at least 2 hours away before we start....
  13. thank you for taking the initiative making the effort to book a club stand Paul @NemesizX; :thumbup1: the Museum of Power is a great place to visit nice way to spend the day. unfortunately i am booked that weekend with my 675 bike club and will be up north for our annual get together else i would be there. i hope at least some of the local guys give it a look :)
  14. :clap::biggrin::lol:
  15. it is a bit of an addiction, labour of love, and understanding wallet, to keep them in their prime don't be a stranger
  16. a few hard to reach to places that could do with a good clean while you they are accessible there Andrew ;) will be nice to see in the summer :thumbup1:
  17. hi Antony, glad to see you getting it back on the road. we had to disable our manual.cgi online workshop manual due to some issues with the script, hopefully it will make a comeback at some point. in the meantime it is still available on another site here: http://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi where it should show you the route, but they run down the passenger side of the car
  18. that would be a shame Richard, Julia has to get it sorted :) Nikk will miss her not being there
  19. sorry yes, as Ian says, i will have them with me on Sunday at Japfest Silverstone so we can check them over and discuss the fitting issues i had with the smaller piece being too rigid, and see if we want to make any changes to them, or stay with them as they are regarding the vent holes.
  20. Bump, now we are well into the year. Any of the other attendees from last year planning to come along again ;) Might even be in a zed this year :lol:
