1. i just looked at the current cost of obtaining a good condition similar spec and age car to mine direct from import, then added a little extra to cover the extras that are installed. but mine has not had anything like the amount of work and parts added as some others. list all of the extra parts or work performed that add value (not servicing costs etc, but rust treatments etc) and add those type of values to the car as well. i am sure if you over value it, they will respond back and tell you, or just charge more for the agreed valuation? in my case, the valuations have just been accepted as submitted, but mine isnt a show quality car
2. only premium membership allows upload of pictures. with standard membership you will need to link to pics that are hosted elsewhere. same with selling.
3. they are radio manufacturer dependent Mike, as i had to find different ones last time i swapped radio around.
4. was just looking at that paint the wear on your garage floor Lee, i remember when you put up the pics of that after the coats you put on it. seen a lot of engine hoist, trolley jacks, your back trolley wheels etc.
5. thats a really nice job there, looking fantastic
6. drove it to a show and browsed round the modern sports and older classics :)

11. i always thought they were 60 litre tanks. have done 330 a couple of times now, thats about the distance to my brother inlaws at Glasgow, but never checked the fill up
12. What time would you get there Gary? They sometimes allow late entries, as long as they have someone available to clear the way and walk you through to the stand.
13. will definitely be looking to do another similar event next year Nick, as mentioned above, just need to look into the logistics, especially for the NC500. could do with some hints and tips from another club that have done similar, as i think it will be the overnight stays that will be the problem to sort out. Normandy beaches and/or memorials would be another memorable trip
14. Meeting point here to leave for 8am and have to be on pitch by 9:30, but its only a few minutes drive, just the queuing with the other cars to get in. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Tesco+Superstore Then we take the RED route to the farm to get to Hall Farm IP31 1SL. The GREEN route is where you exit after the show at 4:30 onwards. https://stnicholashospice.org.uk/fundraising-events/classic-and-sports-cars-by-the-lake/ The last 2 years we have been located along this edge, near the lake. They have not confirmed our location this year though.
15. will just double check with last year thread, but i think we all met at the Bury St Ed tesco for 8am Gary. will find the picture and postcode to put up
16. It's no worry Joel, the difficulty is in the organising upfront, trying to get rooms reserved etc, and the same problem with many of the shows we go to, where you have to commit a certain number of spaces upfront, and then when you dont fill them, it becomes difficult the following year asking for the same thing again. With some of the roads this year, i think you would now be overrun with kittens, running out of fingers and toes to count them on  or you would have to book a week off to restore the car back to normal.. Ian and myself will certainly have a few bits to buff out this year  Next year, we might try and factor in a NC500 based trip, but that will be even longer, and require even more commitment. Maybe start or end with a Lakes weekend, and a during the week trip for the Scotland part.
17. thanks for the vote of confidence Tom, much appreciated. :thumbup1: researching the routes, finding somewhere to stop for lunch, making sure there was fuel on the way if needed, etc, did take a little while to do, especially as i created multiple routes so that we had some options. i know we set these dates after voting, and quite a long way in advance, but it is August and bank holiday too. might need to find a different weekend next year? or plan something different altogether, as we were discussing. i am not sure that Paul at the Fat Lamb will want to reserve us a weekend next year, unless we get more people signed up earlier, as it also makes it difficult for him if noone books.
18. certainly felt like we were driving the “mountain goat” special edition  Ian and myself left this morning, taking the amazing road down to Hawes and stopping at the Wensleydale Creamery for tea and cake, before heading off to the A1. Hit some traffic so we came off again, plumbed in some more scenic routes and avoided almost all of the 15 mile tailback traffic, joining again right near the front. After that a troublefree run down the A1, stopping at Peterborough services for the goodbyes. brilliant weekend. might have to do 2 sets of routes for next time, meeting up at all the same places, but with very different roads. one of the sunday roads was mile and half with no passing places and high hedges, its one of the pics. luckily we didnt meet anything as that would have been awkward
19. Wrynose, and we did that too. We came up from the south right where those 2 join, so we turned onto Hardknott first, did the most difficult section of hairpins, with the bumps causing lots of traction issues and fun, before turning round and doing them again to get back to Wrynose, Ambleside and The Struggle. It has been a blast today. really has. big grins.
20. wow. another great day. started off with Tom, visiting Ribblehead via some more nice roads, then a quick stop at Devil’s Bridge for ice cream. then we split up and it was Ian, me and Ayrton for the day. back to the “twisty route” satnav, and we have done some fantastic roads, going to the Lakeland museum, up to part of Hardknott, then Wrynose, the Struggle, Kirkstone, and then some really obscure roads back via Shap. out of the 150 or so miles, we did a maximum of 5 miles on main roads. the Kraftwerk Krew would have had Kittens on some of these roads, as a few bush scrapes might need a light polish out, and some very tight single roads and passing places, and lots of cows and sheep to avoid. a few more pics from the day
21. glad you all enjoyed it, i know i did :)
22. yes mate, thats the one, but might be bank holiday busy with bikes...
