  1. Put me down for one please Richard, unless you have a full complement of zeds.
  2. The aircon drain hose is also in the same location, maybe a little lower, which is just a rubber hose outlet to atmosphere, and is where the puddle under the car will be generated from. It is very easy to kink it when working near the ECU inside, causing the heater box to fill up with water internally, causing a sloshing noise on cornering. i know this from experience ? I had never noticed condensation build up on that fixing shown. Are you sure there is not a small gas leak through the threads? Maybe smear in washing up liquid or similar and see if you get any bubbles?
  3. Entry tickets are available on the website, at £15 in advance or £20 on the day. However, the club application form says we should have access to a portal where we can get them at £10 with 2 entry tickets. Have you had the link details yet? @RichardS
  4. It is a completely different experience to anything else, very raw, visceral, and basic. Very basic. Nothing of the wafting along comfort of similar looking manufacturer cars ? Getting in and out is a challenge in itself.
  5. Definitely not lost that Andrew, that would indeed be a sad day!!
  6. So, a long overdue post, sorry. Redundancy, change of job, impending house move, first time grandparents, daughter buying house, all seem to have side tracked me away from here. Sold my zeds last year, as some of you would have seen at the time, and more recent ads appearing. Was sad to see them go, but there was good reason behind it. We were weeks away from moving house, and they were sold to fund some much needed work at the new place. I had my blue zed (ex AndyP) Nikk had a purple zed, which had some turbo issues from when it was built and the builder disappeared before fixing. We had the green zed (ex TonyB). As i needed to sell them all fairly quickly, i managed to negotiate a fair enough price with Ifti to take the lot, considering 2 had no MOT at the time. I could certainly have got a bit more if i had sold them separately, or had the time to fix the little issues they all had, but with an impending house move, moving them quickly became the key requirement. However, the house sale/purchase fell through, a couple of times actually, and we ended up staying where we were, but now zedless. After some consideration, we decided not to replace them with another zed, and that gap has been filled with a completely different animal. So i would like to introduce you to the new ride. I hope to be coming along in it to the Sandringham show that Richard has got us space for, so look forward to catching up with some of you again after the previous couple of years isolations. As ever with the zed, niche car ownership brings along a never ending list of little jobs to do, and this is no exception, but i am hoping will add to the enjoyment... ?
  7. And i thought i was doing ok replacing a load bearing wall with beam and putting a new stud wall in so we can swap dining room and kitchen around. You trump me lol. Rubbish to hear about the woodworm, hope its mostly saveable after any treatment. Sorry to see the stuff that other people have hidden along the way too, its not until much later when you see the impact of bad decisions or workmanship, just because they are cheap and lazy. It always sucks being the one who has to put things right again, but at least you know it will be done properly this time.
  8. Thanks everyone. nice vid Gary, thanks ?
  9. Great stuff Richard. i will be there, although not in a zed. Look forward to it.
  10. Ooh, a dilemma, always good fun ?
  11. Best wishes Lee
  12. best wishes Andrew
  13. I think you have me in H11 instead of I11 ?
  14. My wife is now going away in June, so i am waiting for dates to see if they clash, as i will need to be home at that time. There will also be some "dicey" parts of the route on Hardknott or Wrynose, especially for anything low/limited ground clearance, with single track and tight hairpins as well.
  15. looked like the excitement with your knob was going to be a solo affair until @gray's interest was aroused enough to join in
  16. haha, you guys, lol
  17. haha, yes no problem if i had the Touareg, but daughter has that, and i am not sure what i will be in yet
  18. I would say, the roads in the North Pennines AONB are far better to get from Penrith to Fat Lamb than the Lake District roads which are always far too congested. But, also need to check if that is the Appleby Horse Fair week, as you will need to avoid that area in the cars if so as well. I will have to google street view check some of the roads on the NW Scotland part... is it all tarmac and flat, or are there gravel and bumpy sections? And what is the longest section between fuel stations? ?
