Not a good day !!!
have always wondered why they used the same colour and name branding for v power petrol and diesel as it is really confusing when they are on the same pump, as have picked up the wrong handle a couple of times on both our diesel and petrol cars, or have had to move pumps when the wrong vpower was on it.

50th Anniversary Celebration and parade lap at Silverstone (Japfest 5th May 2019)
i tried calling them to explain the situation, but no joy there, so looks like we are stuck with the few that managed to get passes for now then. i will be bringing those carbon scuttles so you can have a look at them Ian, and we can discuss the vent details etc.

2020 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition
a new model to mark the 50th would have been far more fitting than a colour scheme on an 11 year model imo.

its just random Paul, and thanks for reminding me, as i had not got my own parking tickets sorted yet. i posted the link then forgot. You can get a refund on them up to a week beforehand. Also, i think you get a free hot or soft drink with the parking ticket as well. They have done it as they have been too busy a lot of the weekends and there is no parking outside.

Electrical issues - continued - speedo, oil gauge, window washers
i tested the bulb directly off the battery and it was fine and bright, didnt think to test the voltage at the plug lol. will do that over the weekend

Electrical issues - continued - speedo, oil gauge, window washers
Ok, found the issue, one of the connectors had either been missed by me, or not been put back in properly by me and come loose. So that fixed all of the above issues, and also as it turns out, it fixed another issue which i had thought was unrelated... Main beam was also stuck on on driver side only, which i thought was an earth or relay problem and was going to investigate separately. Now, my remaining electrical issue to fix is, the n/s front fog light runs dimmer than the other, although the bulb is correct wattage. Anyone got an idea for that? My basic electrical knowledge would suggest a resistor or another bulb is running in serial with it somewhere.

Electrical issues - continued - speedo, oil gauge, window washers
After the fusebox, t-top drain, etc saga i still have some issues, which are obviously still related to this issue, but am needing some more direction please :) speedo, oil pressure gauge, windscreen washer button not working - i think these must be related to each other? I have checked the 10A fuse labelled "meter" on the diagram and this is fine, i have checked most of the other fuses in there now, will finish the rest later anyway. Next will be to check and re-seat the plug connectors that i can get to again. Hopefully i haven't missed any, especially if they were on the back? Do they run from a specific connector, as i couldn't find that on the wiring diagram? Did i miss a relay to check on the back? Is it possible i have pulled a connector loose from behind the dash, while manipulating the fuseboard? Is there another fuse or relay that runs these from somewhere else i can check?

will it be car passes rather than tickets that are needed Ian? is that what ordering through the club method enabled you to get?

anyone wanting to go to Caffeine and Machine on Saturday, probably advisable to pre-book a parking ticket, as it seems like they have had to introduce this because it gets really busy at weekends with all kinds of cars, clubs, etc turning up. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/caffeine-machine-pre-booked-parking-tickets-59293269766?aff=erelexpmlt&janus_fv=exp_eb_86972_related_events_v2%3DA

fix accessory relay?
All back together and working as it should. The success would be fixing the leak and getting everything back together. I don't believe i did anything specific to fix the electrics other than unplug and plug things in and out, and let it dry out a bit. But green zed lives to fight another day, so just need to replace the rear tyres, or even swap wheels with the purple zed while its off the road waiting for some enthusiasm, and we are good to go.

fix accessory relay?
Thanks Jeff. I can certainly see it's one of many jobs that could soon rack up a few hours labour for what would seem to be a simple task at first. Just doing the pipe to elbow part through touch alone was only possible after seeing your pics and getting an idea of how to get to them, and then getting spares from Paul/Nemesis last year. I was thinking that if Nissan had just put the same length tube neck on the inside of the in/out elbow as the outside, all of this would be unnecessary. But just turning the elbow around doesn't quite work, as the tube angle is wrong and causes a kink, as i was considering that as well and then gluing a pipe on the outside  I think it was carrying the seat into the garage at the end of the first day when i took it all apart that did my back in actually. Would have been nice and relaxing on my back as well, could have got that fixed in no time as well while picking them up ;)

fix accessory relay?
Last weekend, managed to fix the drain tube (hopefully) and test some of the relays, and all seemed fine. A couple of relays had slightly green connectors so i cleaned those and as much as i could get to on the fuse board. Could not get the drain tube to stretch down far enough to go back into the elbow through the wing. So i cut the drain tube half way down the pillar and put a pipe join back in which gives enough slack in the pipe, then put some glue on the end of the pipe so that it stays in the elbow. That was enough as my back is only just recovering, so will have another go this weekend to find any more green electrical contacts and clean whatever i can find, then reconnect everything and see if it cures the problem before i start putting it back together. It might just have dried out enough anyway without anything i have done. but hopefully it wont get wet anymore....

nice to see old members return, welcome back

What did you do to your zed today?
Last sunday, managed to hopefully fix the leaky ttop drain, and pulled some relays and tested them, all seem to be fine. This weekend hope to try to clear up any other corroded contacts i can find and reconnect it back up. Can't pull the fusebox right out to clean it up properly though.
