  1. i think the traffic through windermere will be a problem whichever way we go. I have prepared a couple of different routes on my satnav, but trying to find stopping points where you can get decent pictures is a problem when you dont really know the area  the first one takes in Ribblehead Viaduct, Devils Bridge, and the Motor Museum, before returning back via some back roads and passes. (The struggle and kirkstone in reverse of the route we finished last year) the next one goes in and out of Alston a couple of times, and up to Hadrians wall and avoids the lakes, with some minor roads with good views. the other 2 are round the lakes taking in most of the main passes round the lakes, even the really tough ones, if we really want a challenge :whistling: and includes a pub stop at Wasdale Head which TonyB mentioned last year. the route range from 4-7 hours in total not including stops, so would be very weather and traffic dependent.

  4. am getting a quote from Lancaster for similar for one of our zeds, should be in the next day or so, will let you know.
  5. just working on some routes and alternatives for the weekend. any of you guys coming have any particular dislike for single track roads? am using my bike satnav and "thrill route" feature to get us off the main roads for bank holiday weekend, but checking them out in google streetview to make sure they at least have tarmac on them
  6. hi Dave, nice to see you back here. Are you planning to stay a while? :)
  7. Yes, i know it's been getting stricter each year, and also the sponsors only get a limited allocation of tickets as well now, if any depending on their size/contribution... It is starting to happen at some of the other motorsport classes now too, not just F1. Sad times for the real grass root fans that properly appreciate that type of dream access, and can't afford to just buy their way in to the experience.
  8. i think you will find the paddock passes and experiences for all teams and venues are managed by the same company, which you already have the pricing detail for. all links lead back there, and have done for quite a few years now. even if you speak to one of the teams directly, they will redirect you there. the only alternative is to know someone at the team, or a sponsor, who might have some "perks" passes granted to them for direct access to their pit and the pit lane in general.
  9. ah, grasscutter
  10. thanks for the support :)
  11. nice one. will have to find some very twisty roads to even it out then ;) fyi, Nikk isnt coming this time as she will in Scotland visiting her brother. should be me and Ayrton.
  12. She did try hard, and should be applauded, in my opinion. The reason she failed is because most other members of Parliament act like they are still in primary school.

  14. going by the service manual, you need to undo quite a lot to be able to remove the oil pan first Tony. there might be a better "real life" write up somewhere hopefully oil pan removal https://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=em&slide=10 pump removal https://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=lc&slide=5

  19. hello tulip and welcome back :)
  20. anyone got an idea about this problem: when i start the car, the front wiper does 2 sweeps on its own, but only when the engine starts running, not with the ignition.
  21. many thanks to Richard who sent me over his old fpr and fd after replacing them, they have been fitted to the purple zed and it fires up, stops and restarts as it should. so now i just have a bunch of other little faults to fix, not least of which is to replace the smokey nearside turbo.
  22. MOT'd the blue one for another year :)
  23. "iconic interior differences"
  24. i really enjoyed Caffeine & Machine on Saturday, and think we should try and arrange a meet there later in the year, maybe end of September?
