  1. here's the other pic maybe i should enable pics again... lol oh, by the way, here's the alternatives... Nissan supply new rad :- 270 + vat end tanks 40+vat and 38 + vat. one end tank in US, other in UK. If you can source end tanks, then MAC1 has a contact that can make a similar spec to mine, with original end tanks, but see him for price. Patent part listed in rad guys book is for Z31, even though listed as Z32, for 170+vat
  2. hiya, been away on holiday, and have had hectic time getting back into the forum swing :) am busy as hell at the moment, so forum mods will be a bit slow for a week or so. but, have to get this offer out to you all :D Before i start, i would like to give many many thanks to AndrewG for the 2 week loan of his driveway, and his help in the whole process of removing/replacing the radiator. cheers. Specs:- Stock rad is plastic tanks with aluminium single channel core Replacement is brass tanks and copper dual channel core This means that the new rad core is almost twice as thick as the old one, but the width and height remain the same, with all locating pins and shroud brackets in the correct places. It also retains the bleed screw in the non-capped end tank. The end tank thickness is almost the same, and just about fits into the stock retaining brackets at the top, which i asked him to make sure of, as they are also the bonnet stay brackets... If anyone has a spare one of these (AndyZ?) then i would like to send it so the guy has one permanently. Price is 170 quid each, plus delivery. Group buys need about 4 or 5 units, which he will turn around in as many days. For you "auto" guys, he can fit an oil cooler into the end tank if you want, for the same price i think, but i guess most of you have upgraded to external coolers by now... ;) I guess i should start the group buy forum up pretty quickly hey ? If you are interested, then i would like to collect the money from you so i know how many to order, and i'll hold onto it until they are finished. Have attached photo of the rad before fitting, and next post will have photo of it in situ including samco hoses, but no shroud. Any questions ? Any takers ? If i can make it to any of the next couple of local meets then i will (have rear slicks at the moment though :( ), but you are welcome to come visit if you want to see it first.
  3. 20 quid is a lot of money to quite a few of us tooley mate, but the money that people have sent has kept the forum here, rather than disappearing because i dont happen to work at an ISP anymore this is not a pay per view site that lines my pockets. never will be. its pay per view to keep it here and benefit all. period. i know how often you have given stuff away tooley, and i am sure the recipients appreciate it. i for one will be sad to see you go if you do
  4. heh... i only gave it up a few months ago :D [cps@cpsgw home]$ whois -h whois.nic.uk z32.co.uk [whois.nic.uk] Domain Name: z32.co.uk Registrant: jason anthony loxley how much did you pay for it jaylox ? i would have sold it to you if you'd asked ;)
  5. i know what you are saying guys, does seem a bit quiet... maybe if all the paid up members want to vote and change the format, then i will gladly do whatever you all want however, when it was "open" and anyone could post, and everyone was fighting.... i got sick of all the emails and msn's from people complaining about other people, what they said, what they did, being abusive and i got it from quite a few people... you cant have it all ways how do you want it ? i have been away this week, so not much chance to keep up on the forum, and the same again next week so why not open some voting and poll posts, in whatever area, and decide between you all how you want the site to go. bearing in mind, that quite a few people have contributed towards getting the site together onto a new platform i will check in on the results when i get back next week. ITS ALL UP TO YOU :)
  6. sorry guys, but i was sure you could read that section checking it out now OK, its done now. very sorry guys, was never intended.

  8. i have contacted a couple of companies and brokers who are looking into this. i think a couple of other people on the forum were doing this as well, but they have not posted any fedback from it. the last place i spoke to were very positive, and should be coming back to me soon.
  9. i recently adjusted the pixels to 100x100, to get a bit more clarity, but there is still a very small file size limit, so you have to put your image skills to good use :D once the board has been running for a few weeks, we can get some ideas about the bandwidth usage, and adjust avatars, signatures, and pics in posts in general to suit.
  10. in that case, you are one of the people that sent no details with the cheque, so i had to guess what your screen name was, or rather, did not guess. email me your details as asked for in the subscription mail please, and i can change your group membership

i didnt mind when i first saw it, but once my kids started asking me why i have boobies on my computer i realised it would better to find something more tasteful... unless you can make the effort to change your avatar after 9pm, and change it back again to something friendly before you log off..... if you can keep to that sort of watershed, i dont mind ;)
  12. you can also get a separate gps aerial with the road angel, and mount it more permanently if you want. to be honest, the origin looks much nicer and gives more info on the display, but do you really need to know which road you are on, and whether the camera is front or back facing ? you want to slow down when warned, regardless, imho the thing i like most about the road angel is the ability to add and remove sites yourself. it does seem to remember what it was doing before you went into the tunnel, when you come out, so it carries on beeping if it was doing that but it depends on how fast it can regain the signal as to whether it becomes operational again right away afterwards
  13. i moved it :D its not _really_ a Z tech/advice topic is it ;)
  14. Jez, i have a Road Angel on trial at the moment, which i got from Blackspot Interactive, the manufacturers. They offered a bundle deal with the laser jammer if anyone wanted one, which was 580 with jammer. you can wire the jammer to it as an extra interface, and so you can update the Angel with common traps. It is quite good, and most of the sites are also tagged as directional, so doesnt go off for cameras on the other side of the road. you can also add or delete your own sites to it with a couple of button presses, shows your speed, and also has an "export gps" function so you can hook it up to a pc and use it as a gps receiver for other software. it has some accident blackspots programmed in too, not just camera locations, and also "regular" time/distance recording locations. it also has the "dont warn below speed limit" function, although i havent got that working for some reason however, i must admit, having seen the info that the origin unit gives on screen, road number, camera direction etc, it does look a lot nicer. i cannot really fault the road angel though, apart from when bad satellite coverage had my speed at 221 mph the other day.. lol
  15. oh no, Hairsy, you are the last person i was execting to be the first official banned member :D you bad person.....
  16. actually, clarkey-san, they are now set to 100x100 and no of posts is set to 250 :D
  17. have to wait and see when i get it :D i dont think it will be quite as thick as the Koyo's, but definitely thicker than stock, as it will have two channels on each row, rather than one.
  18. ok, here's the gist.... last friday my top hose split, steam cleaning my engine with coolant for me... i had a spare samco hose to put on, but when i took the old hose off, the plastic pipe on the end tank had broken  so, called nissan for some prices... new rad 270 + vat new end tank 40 + vat so i called a local radiator guy and asked about replacing the end tank. non starter, due to strong chance of breaking core. he gave a price for patent part of 170 quid, but when i got there it was for z31, but listed at z32 :( also spoke to MAC about his rad contact for making a new rad with new end tanks supplied by me, which was a good price and definite upgrade unfortunately, the other side end tank is on back order from japan until 28/10 at least, but is available in the US. so i nearly went for that (UK one sid eand US other), until the local rad guy suggested he might be able to get a full metal rad made instead, if i dropped my old one in to him. well... success... he can sort this out.. brass end tanks and double row copper core, upgraded flow and better cooling too !! :D bonus how much ? about 170 quid for cash, else + vat :D tbc after making first one i am leaving my old rad with him, because he said once he has got the first one made and knows it is ok, he will make more if we can order at least 3 at a time once i have mine, i will post some pics so you can all see, and i know some of you have radiator problems too.... ;) he can also put the auto oil cooler inside if required, or leave it out if you have upgraded your own to an external anyone interested in a group buy ?
  19. Clarkey i appreciate the help you are giving out, as i'm sure everone else does... keep it up, you are doing well... might even get you a regular admin role ;) i might even be able to retire soon... lol
  20. hmm... forgot about that... lol also available as the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of every page :D craig@avnet.co.uk
  21. hiya hope you all like the new server and software faster innit :D ok, for those that missed the subscription announcement that was at the top of every forum on the old board for 6 months or so, you can get my address and some other boring explanation guff from emailing me with subject of Join-300ZX you must use the right subject, and you will get an auto-response within 30 mins other stuff.... some of the pages seem to have broken links etc, and the password emails have broken links as well. this is because the dns info has not been changed yet. replace anything that says http://www.300zx.co.uk with 217.158.136.46 until you start seeing the full domain in the address bar at the top. (couple of days max) any other problems, i am getting to them....
  22. the links wont work until the dns gets updated, then they will be fine. you wont be able to edit your rides until i install some of the vbb hacks or modify the code myself, which will be over the next few evenings....
  23. i will repost the details from the old forum shortly, which explain everything. or email me with subject of Join-300ZX and you will get an auto response with the details
  24. Stuart, yes, this is effectively the technical forum now which makes it easy to moderate for the moderators :D and its also one of the few forums that unsubscribed members can post into, because i guess its what most people will come here for initially.... if they decide after reading some of the general forum banter that they wish to join the community, then they can subscribe.... this upgrade would not have happened without the generosity of those already subscribed make sense ?
  25. stu, if you have sent a subscription, then you might be one of the payments i received that i could not correspond to a user name. email me your details please
