  1. Knew that would get a reaction and as usual it's Si :rofl:
  2. Happy Birthday bud
  3. Do you fancy this one instead? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250369384331&category=18238&_trksid=p4340.m215&_trkparms=algo%3DSI%26its%3DI%252BC%252BS%252BIA%26itu%3DUCC%252BUCI%252BIT%252BUA%252BUS-BWR%26otn%3D12%26ps%3D33
  4. I'll take some pictures tomorrow for you but if I remember righly I looped it up behind the battery.
  5. Is it the ECU loom? Have you found it to long from the bulkhead along the side of the battery down the inner wing to the front fuse box?
  6. I was in Luton yesterday and had to drive home to cardiff, took 4 3/4 hrs. Watched one of the guys leave before me on 5 inches of snow, spent 5 minutes p*ssing myself laughing at him. Did the usual foot down and sliding, ended up being pushed out after a few minutes. Me, out is less than 60 seconds!
  7. What bit are you stuck on?
  8. Had one the same on Ebay for a Audi TT but they were in Spain, paid £5 for a car check then asked questions based on that. No surprise but they got former keepers wrong by 3 so a scam! Stay away from it!!!
  9. If they are VAG picture and price?
  10. Thanks for that, I am sure its brake /ABS related so have spent an hour removing it from the old loom to refit along with the cruise control!
  11. I try but it's always good that someone points out stuff incase I miss the obvious or not so obvious things
  12. That's the plan, for now it is just tied to the slam panel so I could finish the manifolds. Once they are welded up and sent back I will fabricate a bracket onto them to bolt to the engine (don't know where yet???) and the wastgate flange then send the middle section back to have them welded properly. That bit is going to be tricky but has to be done or the manifolds will crack on the welds from the movement and the weight as the turbo is heavy!
  13. I will move the rad and maybe angle it or use a different one, when the new bumper is on there is alot of space to play with.
  14. He's completely nuts, at that rate he'll be able to answer some of the points here http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=121810
  15. Still waiting here
  16. Yes, the turbo is sitting by the support bracket. Basically both exhaust manifolds point forward past the engine then point downwards towards the floor then turn 90 degrees towards the middle at the same height as the lower cross member, then turn 90 degrees upwards for the turbo to sit on.
  17. After a 6-8 weeks off over Christmas I have finally motivated myself to get going on the project agian, due to a lack of time and minus temperatures it has been neglected. As my car loom was damaged (chewed by the wifes puppy) and alot of plugs were missing I bought one from a member and decided to change the whole lot. The two reasons for this was to re route the loom away from the exhaust manifolds, in the picture the wires are still there but they now reside under the headlights so behing the headlights is wire free on both sides. The 2nd reason was to make the manual conversion a straight plug in with cutting wires. One loom half in and one half out. The manifold templates primary and secondary are finished and the turbo tied in place. The templates go off this week to be welded up and the last collector made to sit the turbo on!
  18. After fitting a new loom I have to plugs which didn't go into the loom. There are 2 pin small grey ones, one each side of the engine bay- they are about 10 inches below the suspension tower top and both go through the inner wing into the wheel arch? Are they ABS, brake sensor?
  19. I have a 3000 GTO rear spolier.
  20. Thanks for the reply, problem is I am over half way through, the loom coming out is damged and can't be reused. The main difference was one plug in the fuse box whic was an 8/10 pin white one which is replaced with a 2 pin? I don't mind changing the loom as it is a good time to re-route it to suit the conversion as the standard place is not ideal. I am also removing other redundant bits when the wings are off that otherwise would of stayed there.
  21. Thanks for that, I assume you can get a cap with no sensor then? Can I be cheeky and ask any ideas on this question? http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=121770
  22. The manual car loom I have fitted to my auto TT doesn't have a connection for the sensor in the top of the power steering reservoir, any ideas??
  23. I have a jap TT auto which i am converting to manual, I had a slight incident with the car loom and had to get a new one. I bought a manual version loom off a member as between us we thought it would be easier for wiring up the conversion as I have the manual box loom as well. I have started fo fit it but some of the plugs going into the fuse box in the drivers footwell are different. The wires that have no pins- are these redundant on a manual car, I am thinking that some of the auto box wiring went into the fuse box so aren't used any more? Complicated I know but can anyone confirm??
