  1. Thanks for the reply Jeff, I have been speaking to John Dixon about doing me a chip but I know he is busy so was after a tempoary solution just to start her up until he can help. Glad you confirmed the flooding as when she showed no sign of trying to start I was concerned!
  2. It's a long shot but does anyone have a chipped ECU lying around I could borrow? I can't get the car to start and after a chat to Jimmer he thinks my standard ECU and 740 injectors will just flood it and stop it starting. I just need to get it on tick over to check oil pressure etc after the rebuild and replumbing of the rads and air intake system.
  3. We today I am going to crank the engine over to see if the oil pressure comes up ok  If all goes well I am going to put the fuel pump fuse in and see if she starts, will be a little noisy as no exhaust but what the hell, can't wait any longer to see what happens! I only have mobile internet at the moment so will post pictures/video once BT/Sky pull their fingers out which should be at the end of the week.
  4. I know it's on a previous thread that the gearbox filler is on the side but is it drivers side with a plug that needs a 1/2" square socket to undo it? Also and tip on how to undo it if it's very tight as access is tight and can't quite get the socket in all the way.
  5. Locked in the garage :) Anyway as it's being rebuilt I'd be amazed if it was driven away in. More worried about the wife's Audi TT, hence the work on the front of the house to include lockable gates for the driveway.

    Bump
  7. Glad it's not just me:) I was brought up to respect other peoples property and work hard to earn money and not just sit on my a*se. From what I see in my area it has filled up with 4 kid families who don't work and think the world owes them a living which we have to pay for  And the comments are right, until this system is sorted we will just spirral downwards! I'm a firm beliver if you claim benefits you should do 2 days works on community projects or maintenance. The honest people wouldn't mind, only the scroungers would complain. Yesterday 3 kids came into the garden and started filling their pockets with the shingle, we have just spent weeks finishing the front of the house, I was away but the wife went nuts and told them to empty their pockets out and don't come back. You may think I'd worry about her doing that but any trouble and she stands aside the doorway to let let the three dogs out, always works a treat with the chav b**tards :D Anyway rant over  Off to look at some houses on new developments and in the country to escape.
  8. Really enjoyed and for some reason feel like getting some work done on the car today to get it back on the road?!
  9. I was starting to wonder if I was becoming a snob as the area I live in is starting to annoy me. There are alot of people who have 9 kids and live in council houses (no offence) and chavs who I feel I don't want to live near anymore. Anyway this week the wife spoke to the ten year old from next door but one, this has confirmed I live in the wrong area and need to go. Coversation was.... he asked 'where have you been?' she replied 'I've been to work' with a look of dismay and a puzzled expression he said 'What, do grown ups work then' If that's the next generation's mentality then this country is finished and I'm definitely moving!!!
  10. Off to see it tonight with the wife!!!
  11. If it's a standard rad and you need another one I have a spare for sale.
  12. Can't see which one you mean under the plenum? As for the white dot one it is part of the aiv system I think? Have a look on Robo's site in the aiv delete section as it has some good pictures of the hoses in place. http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/137858.html
  13. They did lose but to be fair it was an entertaining game to ref with the fights! It's been a while since I've had to dive and pull players apart. Can't beat a good scrap in a game and that had 2!
  14. Further to my post in South central about being on the IOW for an ice hockey game, a few You tube clips of the action!! Just two of us doing the game, I'm not the Mathews guy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgYQDtn74po&feature=related Just over a minute in on this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoXLcJZ-R_c&feature=related
  15. Buy it back and buy one with a knackered engine, that's what I did and only paid £400 for the car!
  16. Am reffing an ice hockey game in Ryde this afternoon - 5:30pm. As the ref I can get free tickets if any member wants to come along and watch. Call or text me on 07900 240 893 to let me know if you would like to.
  17. Helpful Si:tongue: TBH once the engine worf is done and I've finished spending money on that I will have a look for a different front bumper but for now it has to stay.
  18. Found these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-300ZX-87-94-XENON-HEAD-LAMP-BULBS-HID-KIT-100W_W0QQitemZ350119597379QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item350119597379&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
  19. They don't fit so looking at the options.

  21. Yes, one on each run to the the throttle bodies. Just to make sure all the boost is dumped out of each side. Every little helps to reduce lag!
  22. Any members on here got an invader 2 front bumper? I am trying to work out a place to fit the indicators and side lights?
  23. I've been attacking the Z on two fronts this week. I have my three gauges fitted and all wired in as well as the sound system, while we were at it the front lights were all fixed as they weren't working. So all the drivers side dash and trim is now back together rather than looking like a plate of wire spaghetti! I also mocked up the run from the single turbo to the intercooler and intercooler to throttle bodies which includes two Bailey Venturi dump valves. Will have all the joiners and proper hoses next week so will post up some pictures once it's all done properly. Also picked up two small radiators to replace the large single one I can't fit in! Combined they are bigger than the original so should keep things cool. Also finished the oil feed and drain for the turbo and I am just finishing plumbing in the oil cooler.... Once done I can fill it with oil and turn her over to get the oil flowing and pressure up, I might then plug the coils in and see if she tries to start :hyper: Not for to long as there is no exhaust from the turbo back yet! Although I've had a delivery of stainless steel bends in 76mm...

About time we got our meets going again, anyone up for one. We could get together in April or shall we make Japfest 16th May so we can meet up with about 25 others members from around the UK?
  25. I have bought front and rear adjusters as mine is dropped 50mm but when I spoke to JeffTT he said he hasn't fitted any on his car which is lowered alot and has no camber issues. I guess it's just piece of mind for me but juries still out if they are essential...
