Anyone know of a guide, I know Jimmy did one but does cover what I need. I want to know the beast way to fit the arms into the new lockout bar:confused:

Anyone know of a guide for fitting these?

I am fitting a hicas lock out bar. I can't get the original ends off where they join the bottom arm. I have removed the split pin and nut and the bolt the other side of the bush, anything else need to be done as it won't come off even with a bit of:smash:

I'll be there working but planning to finish the Z and take her.

Hi Bruce, Although I am interested in this for myself and the members if you are posting your events on the forum it would be better to pm the REO ie me to see if we mind the event being advertised. Any members on the South Wales area that could possibly call into me in Cardiff with their car? I need to have a look at a TT to work out all the breather pipes for the turbo system, it's a whille since I stripped mine out and as I don't have the TT set up now need to make sure I feed the right ones into turbo inlet and outlet locations.

Not quite sure as there may be some experimenting required but looking for 500-550bhp. Hoping to catch up with MR Dixon to see what he can offer in the way of ECU map/chip. If it's well under I will have the luxury of undoing 4 bolts where the rad used to be and changing the turbo for something bigger!

Well next week I have big plans as I have a a few days off so subject to changing my mind or crap weather putting me off the project should benefit from.... The new custom exhaust manifolds. Single T-70 turbo mounted to manifolds and support barcket made. 50mm external wastegate (if they ever email me back!) Front bumper to position intercooler/rad and oil cooler. Oil feed/return for turbo. 3 gauges oil temp/pressure and water temp. Pushing it a bit but hicas lock out bar and 2" lowering springs!

Aftermarket is the only reliable one!

Thanks, I assume you can then set the EBC for a higher pressure than the spring?

I am making progress with the single turbo conversion and I am just getting a 50mm external wastegate, i don't know what spring rating to get. I have an option of several and will also run an electronic boost controller with it. Any ideas on which ones to go for? Also what is the maximum boost pressure I go up to safely with this spec engine Full rebuild by jimmer with Wiseco's Cometic H/G 740cc injectors T70 turbo

They f**cking hurt, I had them during a 6 week stint in hospital after major surgery it was the last thing I needed, thought I was going to die (again!). TBH the thing that hurts the most is when they past through the kidney not when they leave the body!

Just me with the 2+2 ST weekend toy. Have an A4 Quattro and TT Quattro in the house to!

Happened to our next door neighbours while they were out one night as were we. Police say the only reason they didn't get everything in the house was because our three dogs went nuts and scared them off before they finished. Still took the car and burned it out though.
