  1. Is that between the corner and wheel arch or after the corner?
  2. Can anyone with a SWB do me a favour? I need a measurement from the rear bumper, along the horizontal join with the body and bumper, the distance from the wheel arch to the corner of the body (not end of the bumper that is a few inches past it) Hope that makes sense :o

  5. Would you need them for those?

Kim, Can you PM me a list of the welsh members and I'll do it, be handy for me to have an up to date list.
  7. Bump. Or do i assume no one wants a meet????
  8. Been through this, my son was 3 when me and the ex split up and divorced. As Kim says sort out maintenance between you if you can as well as access as it will make life easier later on. We agreed on both and had it written into the divorce so it was made legally binding. You will have your ups and downs and will fall out but try to avoid big arguements by walking away to cool off as arguements about kids make them highly emmotional and never infront of the child if possible. It does get easier as time goes on.
  9. You can remove the gear box cover plate to expose the torque converter which you can see from the nearside wheel arch. With a socket and extension bar you can get to the bolts. You need to turn the engine using the large (32mm i think) nut on the bottom pulley until you can see a bolt, then undo and remove. Turn the engine again until you can see the next bolt and so on.

 I know, look how many have replied to the next meet thread - 0:mad:
  11. Another negative is I don't have one
  12. So who's up for a meet in the next month?? With the crap weather maybe we look at some activity indoors as well?
  13. Still struggling?? Anyone ? Another thing I found is the 3 plugs behind the head light, the biggest one is 8 pin on the manual loom and 6 pin on the auto?
  14. Tell the truth Jimmy, was that you???:D
  15. It's alot easier to paint those than the engine bay, at the end of the day the only way I could get the bay painted is with a halfrauds tin as I can't get the car to the painter like it is. The problem with doing it like that is the colour won't match and it won't be that good. With these I can wait until the car is painted and have then done professionally then fit them. Also they are smooth not like the inner wings ful of holes and joins!! These are much better
  16. All empty awaiting the engine that Jimmer has just finished :hyper: With the the single turbo there's load of bits that I don't need so stripped them out. So as well as the airbox and the Y inlet hose I've stripped this lot out! So looking alot emptier at the front now!
  17. Since the engine is out and I have stripped out the hicas I am on a mission to make the engine bay clean and less cluttered so have ordered these... http://www.zcentre.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=21_22_54&products_id=362 Figure they should do the trick!
  18. Know these guys well, they have been around ages and are sound. Camber bolts http://www.scoobyparts.co.uk/acatalog/info_249.html had these on another car of mine and allow adjustment so are worth it.
  19. Yes it's possible bit fiddly but can be done.
  20. Already put 1st dibs in.
  21. :shock::rofl:
  22. Dan, if the hose has been 'corroded' then returning it to the manufacturer might of been an idea so they could check and let you know what had happened. It could be a raw material issue or one with your car as normal coolant doesn't corrode silicon. I have seen the other brand hoses with the black liner but it isn't fluoro, they use a standard silicone liner as a 1st ply on their hoses. Having looked at the tech spec and they are similar ratings to the SFS brand. I know many people who have run these hoses (and samcos) on their car for years with no issues at all
  23. The A4's are great, I have done 50k in mine with no problems at all. The other cheap option would be a Focus TDCi, the go well.
