Major Electrical Problem
The new engine is back in and the single turbo conversion almost finished but know the car won't start. Symptons There is no spark, I thought I had fuel but now not so sure as I have plugged in a spare CAS and turned it and the injectors aren't clicking. I am going to check the loom, PTU/CAS connections cleaned. I also changed the car loom with the fuse box, my guess would be something to do with that. So my questions are, which part of the car loom could affect the electrical running of the engine? Any other suggestions? Really want to get this conversion running so all help appreciated.

welsh contingent @ japfest
I'm going from Cardiff but not sure what time yet, we always struggle with meets in Wales. The last post I put up for a meet was a waste as no one seemed bothered. After Japfest can we keep the meets going??

Absolutely fuming
As title says:mad::rant::rant: 'Thanks' to our estate agent we have just lost a house we wanted to buy that ticked every box! We were doing part ex on our place for another and I expected an offer below market value but when it came in it was insulting to say the least and was pi@@ed off, well finally got to the bottom of it today. We had the developers valuer out and all went well, found out the value they gave was viable but our agent.... They did a valuation without looking at the property which we said we weren't happy with as we have done a load of work and due to staff changes no one at the branch has actually seen it. The agent said it would be fine and it would be ok but we weren't allowed to see the report. They gave an on market price and acheivable sale price which matched the independent people. When they gave a quick sale price they slashed £13k off the independent price! So this is what the developer will go buy which means we now can't go for it as not enough equity in the house. We are gutted to say the least, I'm off into the agents tomorrow so they'd better look out tomorrow!!!

wiring loom
I assume this is an engine loom, you need to disconnect the aircon pipes to get the loom through bulkhead as you need to remove the passenger side blower system behind the glovebox to get to the plate holding the loom. After that it's quite straight forward.

Made the grade!
Some of you might know that I ref ice hockey, I have been working in one of the senior leagues (not the top one tho) some of last season and all of this season. I got a call yesterday inviting me to officiate at the finals weekend in Coventry this weekend. Basically they select who they consider to be two of the top ref's to do one semi each then one to do the final and the other to do the U18 final. So I will ref 2 of the top 4 teams in the English National League, with a bit of luck it means I have a chance of moving up next season to the 2nd highest league in this country!

oil pressure gauge sender
No pics but you can see it through the p/s side wheel arch, it's a brass coloured cylinder about 35-40mm o.d. and 40mm long with a wire on the end. It's towards the front of the block just above the join between the sump and the engine.

Chipped ECU
Thanks for the info, I will have a look. I would rather get the hardware and mapping from one source, I don't think buying a chip from DTA and fitting is the way to go especially as I'm going with a single turbo and doolz. Don't want the risk, at least with JD I'll get a base map to suit.

Chipped ECU
It would be the chipped one, not sure what the stage one would be suitable for but sure someone will tell us? When you come down to collect the parts you want, may be you could bring it with you and I could plug it in to see if the car starts.
