hi am having a bit of a problem, gave garage my car for engine rebuild,now taking car back as they say its got an electrical fault, ive bought a replacement wiring loom,can anyone point me in the right direction how to strip out and replace loom, thanks...

is the engine in or out of the car and has the car still got the air-con pump fitted or not ??

I assume this is an engine loom, you need to disconnect the aircon pipes to get the loom through bulkhead as you need to remove the passenger side blower system behind the glovebox to get to the plate holding the loom. After that it's quite straight forward.

the engine is in place, the air con unit is on, the car/engine is totally rebuilt BUT i need to replace the wiring loom and looking for some advise on how to do this..

I did this myself and I am no engineer or mechanic. I took the dash out which was abig job but as the guys say, you can take out the glove box and open the cover in the passenger footwell and you will see the ecu. Take out the ac blower which is behind the glove box and you will see where the loom enters the firewall. You will need to disconnect the ac pipes that go through the firewall to remove the ac matrix. Once you have done this put take the old loom off the ecu, push it through into the engine bay and then push the new one back ini its place. I then replaced each connector with the identical connector on the new loom until I had made it to the front of the engine and there were none left to connect. It took me all weekend but it was not very difficult just time consuming.
