[AUS] RAAF Museum Cruise 2013
With the flight display now finished we all headed into one of the 4 museum hangers where a restoration of a world War II De Havilland DH-98 Mosquito 2 seater bomber was being displayed throughout the hanger. After leaving the restoration hanger, Martini_Z had just arrived in the museum's car park, making him the 12th Z attending today's cruise. I decided to take a few random shots of some of the display aircraft and of course of a couple of the sexy Z's all parked together.

[AUS] RAAF Museum Cruise 2013
After leaving Shadowfax, I took the group through some twisty rural roads and then cruised along the coast line before headed towards point cook where we had all decided to have lunch first before going to the RAAF museum. As I didn't know point cook very well, I turned into the first MacDonld's I saw and next thing I know all of these Z's had evaded the car park:). When everyone was full from lunch, we headed to the point cook RAAF base. Once we passed the bases front gates it was a short drive to the Museum and because we are special we all parked in the museums staff parking and there were just enough spots to fit everyone one in. The sun was out and everyone was really excited to see the museum but luckily for us when we arrived at the museum, a special flight display was being presented on the main tarmac next to the museum and everyone quickly dashed over to watch the display.

[AUS] RAAF Museum Cruise 2013
Before we left a couple of vintage Indian motorcycles were also parked at the shell service station. Thought some of you vintage bike members might enjoy these shots. Our first stop would be Werribee Mansion which is a large historical estate located in Weeribee South. I figured the old mansion would be perfect for some Z photography for all the Z members to enjoy. Unfortunately unknown to me a massive public event was on when we arrived at the entrance to the estate and a long queue of cars filled the road and the entrance into the estate. I took a risk and proceeded to take the group into the estate, Unfortunately we were all directed into the events temporary car park which was into a large grassy field which was still damp and muddy from the wet weather Melbourne has been experiencing for the last few days. I felt terrible, all of these beautiful clean Z's will be now covered in grass and mud and it was all my fault. It didn't get any better as the public event made it impossible for us to get anywhere near the mansion and so it was quickly decided as a group to ditch the mansion and head to the next stop on the cruise. The Shadow Fax Winery. The Shadowfax Winery was only a minute down the road from the mansion and it was a last minute addition to the cruise which my dad suggested would be a good spot to have lunch and test some exotic wines. Unfortunately because I hadn't booked anything with the winery, they were unable to accommodate us for lunch but we decided to have a little break in the wineries outdoor sitting area and chat for a bit.

[AUS] RAAF Museum Cruise 2013
Today I set out to organise a little cruise for all of the Z members still keen on going on a Z cruise after the annual Great Ocean Road cruise was cancelled because of the bad weather conditions we have had the last few days which could have increased the risk for a member to have an accident on the wet and slippery GOR roads we would have driving on today. So my plan was to take a small group of Zs up to a few of the historical buildings in my local area including places like the Werribee Mansion and then drive up to Point Cook RAAF military base for the group to check out an aviation Museum. Finally we would make our way to Williamstown where we would end up at another historical building called a Bell Tower which ships use to use to navigate into the Melbourne habour back in the 1900's. When I arrived at Todd Rd service station there were quite a few Z's already parked in the car park of KFC. After parking my Z I was immediately greeted by Cam and the other Z members joining the cruise. It was so good to be amongest Z owners again and I was hopefully the group would enjoy the cruise I had set out for us today. Because there was no rush to head off we all spent a few hours chatting amongest each other while we waited to see how many more member would turn out to join in the cruise. By the time we were ready to leave we had a group of 11 Z's and 1 Madza MX-5, which I was very pleased with before we headed off, I gathered all of the owners for a quick cruise route summery and safety briefing.

My Z's Near Miss 04.11.13
thanks mate, yes i have added alot of extra factory optional parts to my z. The throttle spring covers are from an infiniti J30 and will fit all series 3 plenums. I have also added the USDM oem adjustable damping suspension system which is fully electric and is activate by a switch next to the folding mirror switch. This system was only available in the us z32 so my z is the only one in australia that has this oem system installed and working. Lastly the B pillar seat belts were made standard after 1993 and i had my door mounted seatbelts removed and have the pillars converted to allow for the b pillar belts to be fitted. I hope to post a huge build thread which everyone can see how the build went and see the transformation of my series 1 into a series 6 z32. If u have any more questions dont hesitate to ask.

Still have the occasion pothole but 99% of the roads over here are very well constructed. thanks mate, it must be the paint job.

My original 1/4 glass both had some kind of brown tint stuck on it which I dont think was OEM as wripples were present at one corner of the glass on the inside. I replace that 1/4 window glass with brand new replacement OEM 1/4 window glass from 97-98 but its only clear

I did my best to try and by as many series VI 2kspec parts and replace all of the 1989 model parts. I was able to replace the passenger side rear 1.4 window with 1998 factory tinted water replant glass but I couldn't get the drivers side 1/4 window as the nissan part number never worked with Nissan Japans part suppliers.

My Z's Near Miss 04.11.13
On a pleasant Sunday afternoon while with my wife waiting to pick up my brother law from his work. My wife gets a phone call from her dad shouting to her, that a major car accident has just happened right out the front of his house and right were my beautiful Z was parked. So we rushed home to see what had happened, and when we got there it was a chaotic scene with a ford sedan laying on its side right next to my Z. The car had ran over a series of traffic signs and a small round about prior to crossing the wrong side of the road and losing control eventually hitting 2 brick fences and landing on its side. By the time we arrived there were already a couple of police, paramedics and firefighters already attending to the driver of the vehicle still trapped inside his car. My mother in-law took this photo before I had a chance to move it. I quickly parked my wife's car and rushed over to my Z and moved it out of the emergency services way. Unfortunately as lucky as my Z was to not get hit directly by the sedan. My wife noticed some minor damaged to my lower LH side door. Here is what the scene looked like after woulds. And here is the damaged most likely caused by a small piece of brick hitting my door during the impact of the sedan and the 2 brick fence's. I know its only a minor dent and its nothing I can't live with. But this was not my fault and I was being told by family member's that I should make a report with the police and hopefully the police report will allow the insurance company to be able to have the area repair without me needing to pay my excess. After the yellow sedan was finally removed from the scene, I made a report with the police about the damage my Z had suffered from the accident and from what the officer told me, I should be able to claim this incident with the insurance without having to pay any excess. I have contacted my insurance company and I have given them everything I received from the police officer's and I will need to wait for the insurance company to call me back in the next few days and go from there. I parked my Z back into the same spot it was when the accident occurred and I still can't believe how close my Z came to disaster. Thank you Z gods for protecting my Z.

Australia's best restoration car 2 years in a row. [/CENTRE] one of only 7 soft top Ford utes still in Australia. [CENTRE] and to finish the tour was a very long discussion with rod on his high speed Holden sedan salt lake racer. To date he has Australia's fastest car with an impressive 259.9 miles per hour atm. The car is currently in a bad shape after blowing up his clutch at a recent slat lake race. He is aiming for 300 mph but he has alot of fine tuning still to work out but he is confident he can make that mark.

The Silver Bullet This is one very impressive machine. 27 Litre Tank engine Rolls Royce limousine. Apparently Rod stated it has a fuel milage of 0.5 of a mile to the gallon:O. He also said he wouldn't sell it for less then 1.2 Million but we all saw it as priceless. The other half of the museum was the Display section with a huge showcase of awards Rod's has earned over the years. V8 chev Motor built in 1955
