  1. what kind of 60ft time did you get? that'll tell us how good/bad a start you got. PS I've managed a 14.1 at 7psi :D (don't ask, had the boost controller off by accident :slap: )
  2. catch a ferry to europe, head to the autobahn and let us know :D better make sure your cooling system is up to scratch first though or something is going to go bang
  3. I'm sitting in Bangalore at the mo'
  4. you should also get longer wheel studs when using spacers, otherwise you risk the bolts stripping off due to a lack of threads...
  5. I have ally ones on the SWB with ally diff bushes and found they are no harsher (or louder) than the poly ones on my old 2+2. Whether or not this is due to a stiffer chassis or not due to the slicktop, I couldn't tell you. I also have the rest of the bushes done with poly (including lower control arms at the rear) and several rose jointed ones. see below anonymous lowering springs KYB AGX Struts Full Set Stillen Anti-roll bars AMZ Hicas Eliminator Bar AMZ Front A Arms AMZ Tension Rods AMZ Eliptical Rear Camber Arms AMZ Traction Rods ES Steering Rack Poly Bushes ES Front Lower Control Arm Poly Bushes ES Rear Lower Control Arm bush set SPL Solid Aluminium Subframe bushes SPL Solid Aluminium Diff bushes

a lot of this is down to the US guys using Race fuel when dynoing to hit peak figures. You'll find their 'pump' fuel figures are very similar to ours.
  7. Tony is talking about the other end of the lower arm, not the big bush that we've both replaced. It comes as part of the arm from what Tony was telling me.
  8. not got round to doing mine yet, but will try this :)
  9. as i said, that's Greg Dupree in his car. The V8 you can hear is the car in the other lane!
  10. nope they are JWT700's, inconel mani's with a bit of NOS, and the 4.10 diff gears. stock cams too i believe
  11. the HKS hiper is also only available for the SWB due to the nature of the angled pipework. If you want that style then do as advised above and go for a powerflow system or the like with your choice of backbox
  12. sounds like you're running on 5 cylinders, most probably a coil pack connector, push them all down to see if that helps. otherwise go round 1 by one diconnecting them until you find one that make no difference. not sure about the smoking though sounds like you had fun though!
  13. paid £3900 for mine from a dealer in the north :D 91 TT SWB slicktop, standard apart from exhaust and sideskirts.
  14. anyone on here? 17 inch volk alloys...
  15. i've tries the one in the bay but find that though it stops the car turning over there is still pressure in the lines :(
  16. happy birthday mate !
  17. interesting reading, thanks John :)
  18. beware of someone using bleed valves and a boost controller... best thing is to get someone on here who's upped the boost to take you for a spin. if you've not felt the difference you wouldn't be able to tell between 350 and 450 anyway! ps I got about 420 crank bhp at 1 bar of boost (14.7psi)
  19. local shell's Optimax is 86.9 in central london!
  20. can't make it I'm afraid
  21. The springs are a mentioned on tt.net, could quite a stiff set but generally regarded to be OK. KYB's, 1 softest to 4 which will be the hardest setting. PS your stuff should arrive tomorrow ;)
  22. sorry to hear this, must be a difficult spot if you're considering this. Hope everything turns out for the better. At the end of the day you can always take her off the road for a while or if need be sell it and buy another one later when things improve.
  23. you want some bulbs called silvervision - thanks to GIO for the original write up about these. They're silver bulbs that flash orange :)
  24. who's is the silver Zed with DTA? just wondering why the stock rad is still on there:confused:
  25. you need a wideband 02 sensor. Best to put it on a dyno and set it up on there. that way you can try adjusting any rich/lean points. at certain rpm's
