  1. Hi Rich, I think you're asking a bit much personally. It sucks that you had problems before the event but that's not the responsibility of the organisers. I missed totb last year under similar circumstances and you just have to suck it up.
  2. small bits of progress Fuel tank refitted and lines connected up more oil lines done Plenum modified for top feed rails and redundant bosses removed since I had the angle grinder out (!) IACV removed and blank made up and decided how to do my coolant routing so new connectors added to water pipes and rad
  3. Nice colour, which body shop did you use?
  4. Very nice! any pictures of the business end :)
  5. lol, well I'll be joining you guys next year to lend a hand ;)
  6. My personal view is that it's a boost leak. I would suspect if the fuel pump were giving up and the fuel pressure dropping, a top speed run would have killed the engine from running so lean!
  7. Ps once you get the power down for the rest of the run, your qtr terminals and et will continue to improve, there's at least another 10mph to find in your terminal speed with that power
  8. Bob, you did really well. And with a 1.6ish 60ft that's excellent, so focus needs to be on the rest of the run now in terms of gear change, power band etc All this will come as you work on the gremlins that are unavoidable in a new build
  9. could be fuel pump, you need to monitor your pressure to see if it's dropping. how much fuel did you have in the tank? Could be a boost leak as well...
  10. Hi Bob, glad both car & driver survived the day, despite the issues you were working through and to get on the podium for each event is a high achievement indeed. For the smoking, has the catch-can plumbing changed for the new setup?
  11. Any updates from today? I've seen the timing sheets but that's a very one dimensional view of things!
  12. Nice choice, a six spoke works really well on the Zed
  13. I blew the dipstick out once when a pcv valves failed, however, the lack of power does suggest rings
  14. hence the big hammer sitting on the engine :)

  16. Zed racer is correct, keep the separator
  17. Zed racer is correct, keep the separator
  18. is it smoking badly? If not, do the breather mods first so you can see what the combination is like. I will probably sway your decision to rebuild or upgrade PS I'm a big fan of what the stock tubs can do unless you're looking for BIG power
  19. If you plan on doing breather mods anyway, do them first on stock tubs :)
  20. disaster, bad enough on your own but with a family to keep entertained at the same time it just adds to the stress. Glad you got back ok You should have a word with the RAC, they should have said up front they won't recover you back home rather than wait till you call them in an emergency.
