  1. Still much prefer the original one  Never keen on bug eyed cars (that's mainly why I bought a Z not a Supra ;) )
  2. Good news about the assessor Paul ! :) It's been a rough couple of weeks for Zs going sideways when they shouldn't - probably just as well mine's off the road at the moment
  3. Good point ! :) Yeah, I did advertise on the Supra forum, as well as Scoobynet and the SX, MR2 and Skyline owners' forum. I think we're up to the required ten now, with one or two waverers, but anyone else is more than welcome ! I'm chomping at the bit to get it fitted - just waiting for my manual conversion first ! Nice one - cheers Stuart
  4. I was told you can have the adjustable slip without the launch, but not the launch without the slip (does that make any sense ? :) ), but I'll certainly bow to experience as I've not even seen a RL unit yet. Do you find the launch control to be worth using Stuart ?
  5. Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you mate ! The Full Throttle Shift option would cost £100, with another £100 to fit, if you require. cheers ! konrad
  6. There are a couple up here already, as it happens; one of our importers, Charlesworths, have imported them for the bargain price of only £32k. What with cars being cheaper out there I reckon that's about a £10 markup. Bargain !! ;)
  7. Coustesy Nissan do a Navan one. http://www.courtesyparts.com/

Whoa ! cheers Chris :D Now you've gone and spoiled me for choice !! Living in Nottingham I can particularly appreciate the one with Hooters girls spread all over the bonnet ;) Cheers mate !
  9. Thanks everyone ! Much appreciated ! :)

  11. :D According to the book they're galvanised, and I'm looking at about R or S reg so I'm hoping there'll be some metalwork left ;) I owned a Lancia Delta for a few years before the Z so I guessed the electrics might be a little 'fragile'. Parkers online give it 4 stars out of 5 still though, and What Car give it 3. Seems to be quite a bit of car for the money.
  12. Yeah - how many times have I heard that ?! I tend to cut them short even before they've finished answering the phone to ask them if they insure imports. Phoning round 20 or 30 companies each year; and getting the 'imports' speach, is beginning to lose it's appeal ! Cheers! konrad
  13. Do you know if HHH insure jap spec Z's ? Failing that Aon certainly sounds worth a try ! Cheers ! konrad

How about one for a T68i ? The only 300s or z logo's I've found have looked naff and the photos of my own that I've scanned and put on don't show up too well, what with the car being grey ! :(
  15. Ouch ! Figure I've got my Z for when I do fancy a turn of speed - that's fairly nippy ;) Cheers for that mate ! :)
  16. Thinking of buying one as my runner, having seen a couple at good prices. Anyone either run one themselves or know anyone that has ? Cheers !
  17. I still reckon people associate Zs with Nissan Prarie's, Bluebird's, Cheery's etc; hence the disappointment on their faces when you tell them it's a Nissan ! Nissan should have taken a leaf out of Toyota's book and made the Z into a seperate brand. Lexus is only really Toyota, but nobody associates them with Starlets etc and the've now got kudos. Z should be a seperate brand; and even better if they'd marketted the skylines under that same brand !
  18. I'm not saying BHP gains aren't fun though !!! :D
  19. Call me a heretic here but we always seem to think of bhp gains for the sake of it when we actually want speed / acceleration gains. Power to weight ratio improvements (ie lightweight propshafts / wheels etc) or just better traction can give improvements in acceleration. How many times have you taken on 500bhp Cosworths etc and come out on top ? ;) :D
  20. :D It fits ! You will have to get your bodyshop to extend the legs though as the shoulders on the 2 seater are at a different angle. Just make sure they fit it at the correct angle of attck though else you can get buffetting at high speed ! Good choice ! :D
  21. Do you mind me asking if you've any points or accidents Fluxy, it's just that that's a really good deal and mine's due soon. I'm 32 with 6 points and that's £200 less than I'm paying ! I take it you did tell them it's an import ?
  22. Yes Nick, that's right ! It is the fully adjustable slip control version for £510. Cheers ! Konrad :)
  23. If only Nottingham's numerous digital cameras were bright yellow ! They comply with the letter of the law by making the camera itself yellow, but as the camera is tiny and stuck on the top of 30 foot dark blue poles hidden in trees you're not likely to notice them if you're new to the road. Beware Nottingham's ring road and the A610 !
  24. If you want to browse the earlier threads search on 'Racelogic traction control' from the forum homepage. :) Roll on that tenth person - just dyin to get traction control ! :D
