You gotta deal! What are progressive springs? Sorry to be dim but I`m not up on that kind of thing.

Jeff fitted them for me at about £75.00 per side if memory serves.

Suspension
Have had me rear shockers and front tie rod bushes done and the old thunder is handling much better now but I still think there is to much body roll, especially during rapid weight transfers, like coming off roundabouts, etc. Reckon that one of Lukes poly bush sets would sort me out or should I be looking at ball joints first? Any help appeciated.

It finally happened.
I`m sure Jeffer will fix any ills One thing for sure though.....I have never enjoyed driving a car so much and have never been so paranoid about it. Working it out I have made Jeff change the oil three times in the last 2000 miles and harangued him into performing a FULL service only 8000 miles after Nissan screwed up my 60K These cars are just like a wife...apart from the fact that they will screw around with you about 3000 miles sooner if you know what I mean :D :D

Bllody hell, these ZX motors are STRONG!
I was likewise lucky. Was driving into Malvern with the Missus and a friend of ours from the States. Fan had been on for a while and I couldn`t work out why, since the temp gauge was pretty happy. Something under the bonnet started to rattle when I hit the gas and I parked up ASAP. Opened her up and there was a load of noises from everywhere, rubber hoses were smoking.....not good. Left the car for 2 hours or so and filled it up with coolant. Came on the forum, asked a few questions, started to get really worried and asked Nissan about a head gasket change. Was quoted £5k and decided not to bother as the oil and water were obviously not mixing. All this was over a year ago and I`ve driven about 4K miles in that time. Still no hint of failure in any respect and can count myself luckier than many in this event.

The most stupid Z question ever
Hey man, no need for the wink there, I have been driving myself crazy over this. I am fully willing to accept that I may be stupider than a salmon thinking "ooh, lovely shining hook, I just MUST swallow that!" But the truth is I ain`t that daft....no really! I cannot understand what the hell I`m doing wrong......still I guess it must be something seeing that others can fit 22 inches of manhood on their screen and I`m thinking of reducing to 20! Over the years I hace had 14 different models of car and have never had this problem before. Sh*t...guess I must be getting old huh? Well, if 22 is the going rate then I should have no problem getting the Zed to swallow 21. Thanks folks, just wanted to make sure......

The most stupid Z question ever
Hi folks What size wiper blades do you have on the Zed? I measured the old ones at 21" and bought new ones that size, now the blades catch on one another from rest. I realise the utte stupidity of this question but what size wiper blades do you have? ps. keep the idiot insults to a minumum if you can, I`m feeling sensitive right now..:D

To anyone having doubts about Zedworld
Since I started the thread.....hmmm.....NOPE! Appreciate the point though. I will quit with the techno babble! But I must say that even after I started the thread, I went down to Tamworth and Jeffer pulled it out of the bag again. I bought his old rims and asked him to run a quick conzult on the old thunder. This he did, found a fault or two, spent about an hour correcting said faults and sent me on my happy way....without charging a penny for it! As I said in the beginning, my opinion is worth no more or less than anyone elses but the comments that I made at the start stand. Take care all......happy Zedding!

oil pressure gauge.....
I feel I must say this: My OEM gauge has always been pants....however, after the last service at Zedworld it has been utterly spot on. Don`t know what happened since Jeff has changes the oil and filter loads of times with no improvement. Since it came back last time though, the normally senseless oil pressure gauge has been really reliable. HAve spoken to Jeff and he can`t fathom it either. Sorry if this ain`t exactly related but I thought I`d chuck it in anyway........:D

To anyone having doubts about Zedworld
You may not have noticed but I was referring to time as a perceptual entity. Entropic action is not. Dimensions are not referred to in entropic calculations (at least at the simple thermodynamic level) and as such any reference to entropy in terms of any dimension, time or otherwise is fallacious. No bullshit, merely mathematical and perception independent fact. You are right though....it is fun :D :D

To anyone having doubts about Zedworld
Clogging up aside I believe you are misinterpreting... Entropy (ir disorder) is by its very nature a source of creation....if it were not for the entropic nature of the universe then helium would not have formed from hydrogen, thereby there could have been no carbon, oxygen.....ie no life. Don`t sound like decay to me and we are not talking about interpretation of dimensional effects here...just chemical and physical "realities" I question your logic but ho hum.....we can all be mistaken
-
To anyone having doubts about Zedworld
Fine Entropic decay? How would you term this.....? As far as my masters took me was to realise that there is no such thing as decay in terms of entropy. Energy is transferred in nature and entropy merely serves to increase diversity....don`t see any decay there. In fact i might be pushed so far as to say that there is no such thing as entropic decay....unless of course you refer to such within a sociological model......but even then, can an increase in diversity lead to decay......good question Sorry...end of ramble.....

Free Targa straps and Wheels
No problem save one......the rims are at Zedworld at not my home. Prat that I am I turned up at Jeffs earlier with a laptop and a bunch of networking gear in the trunk. Consequently I didn`t have room for the rims. So I asked Jeff the favour of storing them for me until collection and he was cool. So thanks to my idiotness you can collect from Zedworld not here. Hope this doesn`t cause too much inconvinience. If you still want em I`ll tell Jeff to give them to you....

To anyone having doubts about Zedworld
Zedworld in my experience provides an honest value for money service difficult to find in the current Zed market. Jeff is an excellent guy who would rather do you a favour than overcharge or present an incomplete job. Reading the current speculations in general chat, I wonder whether Any Duff has chosen the right forum and I do feel he needs to make his point. Duffer is a great guy and the help he has offered to many Zed owners is beyond reproach. However, I am the owner of a small business and from experience I know there is nothing more damaging than implied accusations. Just my two penneth and please do not persecute me for it. I would much rather help anyone than hinder them and right now I do feel an air of impending explosion on the general forum which is why I write here, in the effort to make a clear point. Incidentally, my cheque is on the way to Craig as I speak. I do feel this old issue is going to raise its head once more so from the want to help and advise those Zed owners who have not yet been to Zedworld, I have had nothing but the best of service at all times. We are all allowed our opinion and this is mine.

Superb! First person to confirm collection with me gets them....don`t know if I can do it any fairer. As I said, Just trying to do folk a favour. I paid £300 for these UK rims.

Reliability - my 2p worth...
For what its worth.... I have owned my Zed for just over a year and driven it almost every day. Only prob I had was a duff battery. Apart from that it has always started, always performed, always kept me grinning. I could not imagine owning another car anything like it. No question. All the money I have spent has been mods, not to improve reliability. It is a real bugger that Newbie has had such a bad run of things but I would stick my neck out to say that this case is the exception, not the rule.

Free Targa straps and Wheels
In answer to some of the posts.... Four of the rims are original from my import. They are all 225 and one has a leak. They are in great nick otherwise The other four are still on my Zed. I should be nipping down to Jeffers tomorrow to get them swapped and they are 2x 225 and 2x 245. They are stock UK Rims and are in good condition. I am not offering them free because there is any problem with them. I simply want to do a few Zedders a favour.

Free Targa straps and Wheels
oops! I did say 8 didn`t I ? so, I have 2x 225 rims, both with rubber, one of which needs repairing....sorry. I used to be so good at maths......:D

Free Targa straps and Wheels
Okay folks....I`ve already offered these targa straps free once and screwed up but I will try to be more reliable. I bought a set from AndyZ then found I had some already hidden under the carpet. So if anyone wants them, they are yours for the price of postage (I`ll weigh them in the office and mail them, then you send me a cheque to the value of postage). In addition, I`m buying JeffTT`s old rims, giving me a total of 8 (count them) stock Z alloys. I don`t have enough storage space so if I can do folk a favour its all good as long as you can come to collect. My assortment is as follows: 4x 225 stock rims with rubber (all legal tread) 2x 245 stock rims with rubber (legal tread) So if any of you folk need some stock and are prepared to travel to good old Shropshire (I`ll even throw in a free beer and lunch) then you are welcome. Just please don`t come and take the rims just to sell them.....that`s all.......;) ;)

Cleaning the engine bay!
I realise you probably already know this but Zedworld does a marvellous engine clean. Leaves your lump smelling like apples too! Can`t be bad can it? S`pose it depends on whether you call Tamworth "local" to Derby or not........just a thought.
