F*****G little B*****ds!!!!!
Happened to me once. Never caught mind you but it taught me to have an average daily driver Feel for you. You pay your taxes, pay your insurance yet it seens like when it comes down to it those little pay nothing do-alls have all the rights. Sh*t....the way its looking, I will pay a total of £43,437 in tax in the year ending 05 Apr 2004. Do you think that will buy me any more right to justice than the welfare grabbing gits that offed your motor...or for whom mine may be next on the list? Of course not. Justuce? YEAH! RIGHT!!!!

Grey Zeds only!!
Mine is grey vvv shiny and grey.

I love my zed
Hey Shrimpy! If its any consolation, mine is running far more evenly since Jeff fitted the very fine grounding kit you sold to me. VVVVVVV fine indeedy! Or as you might say...."no chance mate.....no chance!"

Does it get better for you too ???
OI! OI! I think you will find that the A41 is MY private test track actually!! What are you doing using it without my permission?  All the best to ya...if you make it up to Newport, drop in for a cuppa!

May I just say......phuck the manual conversion! I do feel bad for you....almost as bad as I will feel for me when my box goes eventually. You are a decent bloke and there`s too few of us left around for bad sh1t to happen. I would urge you in your time of grief to consider the fast road rebuild auto as a replacement. I will be going for it deffo when mine packs in. For Cliff's sake do not join the Manwell brigade (utterly no offence intended to all the Manwell guys) best of luck Chris Jen and Steve

not enough respect for a supercar!!!
The first time I saw a Zed I was in my old S13. My first thought was OMG! and that is pretty much the opinion I get from everybody I have spoken to. I live out in the sticks, which gives people plenty of opportunity to slow down and gawp as they drive past while the Zed is out of the garage and trust me they do! Never have I had a car that can do what the Zed can. Okay, handling may not be a match for some but who the hell is going to take you in a bend anyways? For me, it is the perfect match of ego, balance, control, comfort and outright power. Who wants respect from Joe Soap? It is partially because we don not enjoy being average that we drive these cars, surely?

What a Day!
Yup! Used to have an MGB roadster but somehow it seems to be far cooler to rip the targas out than drop the hood. Either way, Jen better have bought some hair control gear to work today cos in 57 minutes time....ooyah! the tops are off!

NZR- what daily drive?
I`m hearing you! During my first year of Z ownership I did about 12000miles. Got the daily driver and did about 1800 last year. Those trips to work really crank it up you know?
-
Congratulations
Cheek!

Congratulations
Steady on guys, my wife is a Philly girl you know ;)

NZR- what daily drive?
Last year I bought an M reg Espace V6 with 100K for £1700 and never regretted it. VVV good for families, good performance for a brick on wheels and handles pretty tidily too. Can reccommend but it all depends on what you`re after I guess. I`m just about to get rid of the espace but would happily get another, mine never let me down, carted my family all over the country and in comfort too!

not enough respect for a supercar!!!
What have I done to get noticed? Well, I have the finest exhaust tone I have ever heard bar NONE ! (cheers to Luke and his marvellous Mongoose!) Plus, I have a car that can blitz virtually anything out there and give cars that cost 50K more a very serious run for their money. Personally, I like the anonynimity. One or two people have said "that's a nice kit mate". Kit car? weighing 1.5 tons? Yeah, right! I love the fact that I get poked by scooby's and evo's that just do not know what they are screwing with. One of the primary reasons I bought my Zed is that it matches my personality so well: 1/ It can be a quiet pussycat or a raging maniac 2/ It has a huuuuuuge ego 3/ No average joe knows what it is really capable of I say enjoy it. Those who know their cars will respect it. As for the others.....blow them into the gutter with all the other trash.

Breaking the law
You are all right. I drive a V6 Espace every day and overtaking a car going at 50mph I can probably get it up to 75mph and spend 250-400 yards in the oncoming carriageway. Driving the Zed, I can get up to 80mph very quickly and spend less time in the oncoming carriageway, thereby reducing danger. But is 80mph safe? Well, from experience I can tell you thay 80mph in the Zed is far safer and more controllable than 55mph in the Espace. Its horses for courses I suppose. I for one stick vehemently to 30mph and 40mph zones regardless of what I`m driving but on major (private) roads, have been up to 110mph and over without causing danger to a single soul including myself. The issue is a very difficult one to manage and control with fairness to all involved. Just because you stick to speed limits does not mean you are a safe driver. A driver sticking to a 30mph speed limit while checking their hair in the rear view mirror has to be a greater threat than an alert, aware driver travelling at 80mph in a posted 60mph zone surely. It is all too arbitrary. Individualism is wiped out along with individual circumstance and mitigation. Does anyone here know the amount of times the word "comrade" was mentioned at the latest Labour party meeting? ;)

Takeshi's castle (again)
My old girl's currently trying to avoid urinating herself watching this evening's edition. I know there has been a previous thread in relation to this show but I have one question....... In such a small nation as Japan, where is the common link between my Zed and two guys trying to run over stepping stones dressed as tomatoes  Better go......sounds like the laughing is giving way to hyperventilation :D cheers all

a sad sight
 Saw quite a few poor zeds in poorly states when I was looking for mine

New plenum installation cost?
Thanks folks! :hyper: all questions answered. Still, I'd expect no less of this place  Thanks again
-
New plenum installation cost?
No special reason, he just said that he had never changed a plenum before and was unsure of the cost  So thought I'd ask some who have done it before
-
Scamera survey - please reply
Done it. Fairly annoyed with the format of the questions though. Damn beurocrats think that we can all be nailed into one of an ever decreasing number of categorisations. Fools. And no, I am not more speed conscious due to cameras. Simple matter is that I was never an idiot to start off with....well at least not in urban areas, its just asking for trouble. :(

New plenum installation cost?
Just won a polished plenum on ebay. How much do you reckon it'd cost to get the thing fitted and how long does it take? Also, my det sensor has gone. Currently has the 1Mohm resistor "fix". Is the det sensor easy to get to with the plenum off?

Slow Auto box
Volvo? Pi55ing on Zed? I don`t do much mileage in mine (900 miles last year) and can say that when I drive it more often, the auto box is far better. It just likes to be driven I guess :hyper:
-
Heat!!!
I have the auto box cooler and still the tunnel feels very warm. What can I say? Its one hot car!

Midlands Meet - March 27th
Why not? It`ll be my first meet though. I am about as social as a mole in the Sahara Desert but I`m sure Jen will make up for that. It`ll be good to meet a few folks. So who is still going?
