  1. nah, think yo think I`m drawing the wrong analogies. What I mean is that if you did not respec the rear end on a Z, you will loose it.....just like on the MGB. Only difference is that you could lose it on the MG at anything over 25mph:D
  2. Just remembered. Right after I bought my Z, I bought a UK spec set of rims (wanted the 245`s on rear) The others have been sitting in the garage for ages. Asking price is £100 if anyone wants em. Off an imported car so in very decent nick. You can have wheel number 4 for free. It is split and leaks badly but the rubber is brand new. Anyone interested?
  3. Thanks Just getin toooo paranoid huh? I`ll sum up the courage (someday) and I`ll get the fuel pump looked at. THX again!
  4. Hey folks! Think this is my first post, so please be kind! I`ve had my z since April this year. Kinda upgraded from the 200sx (which is also a blinder BTW). I have so many things to ask/say but will try to keep it short. Firstly, it is an icredible car. reminds me of driving my old rubber bumper MGB. You gotta respect it lots but fear it just a little. I have never had my foot more than 3/4 the way down, still trying to sum up the courage. When the rev counter hits 3K and the variable timing switches...phew! Secondly, I think that the feeling of ownership and support you get with these cars is amazing. I have spent literally hours on the phone to Luke at zcentre and Jeff at zworld. Wonderful people. thanks to all for being so supportive to an amateur like me. Okay, onto the question(s) 1/ My Z feels slower during the first 15 miles or so of each trip. Seems that the variable timing is not interested until the engine really warms up. Is this normal? 2/ I tend to keep the revs below 3k, keep the auto box in hold a lot and generally just enjoy the car. I also think that I`m saving the engine in this respect. Am I utterly wrong? Do I need to give the old thunder some stick? 3/ My injectors seem a little noisy and make this weird buzzing noise when at rest. I`ve used injector cleaner about 3X and always fill her up with shell optimax but to no avail. Is this something or am I a paranoid nut? 4/ Think my boot gauge is screwed. Putting the foot down half way sticks it into 7+. How far does your foot have to be down before the turbos start operating? Ok, that`s all for now (!) Thanks for any advice.
