I've been playing Juiced 2 HIN on the Xbox :) I've pimped out a few 300zx's with Wings west , Do luck etc. They have all the main names and designs of body kit but no stillen, so I can't make a replica of mine :(

Compression test write up
Once you do a compression test and find a low reading. Do a cylinder leakage test and find the leak. Bubbles in the rad = head gasket hissing from the exhaust = outlet valves Bubbles from the rocker = piston rings / cracked piston or bore scratch. Hissing from the intake = inlet valves

I've got Jwt530bb's Gred dupree Downpipes and Monifolds 555 injectors Forged Internals I don't have cams or 3" downpipes. For some reason my car has always produced a little more HP than the majority in the same league, from standard to chipped. Once JD can fit me in my car will be mapped and dyno'd so I guess we'll find out what these tubs with my set up can do. Either way I'm very happy with them running at just 14 psi.

Video of idle and hesitation problem.
Do O2 sensor do anything at idle ?. I was under the impression they don't do anything until over 2500 rpm ? Do you have a vid of it on idle without the bliping of the throttle ? Maybe worth starting there. You have to remember that all US cheips, JWT, Z1 ashspec etc etc. Are mapped on US fuel.

Did you do the engine build yourself or did someone do it for you ?. First thing I would do is contact the people who did it (if it wasn't you). If they built the engine and put it back in surely they would have tested this and are responsible to put it right. I think we would need a full list of your spec. Did you change the injectors ?. If so was the chip remapped for them ?. What else are you running ?

Well considering that the ideal AFR line should stay on 12 all through the range. This is what I consider a little too lean ;)

Electric fan draining battery
Ok, I'll have to get my cable fixed by Danny at DTA first as the consult can not see the car. Once that's done I'll compare conzult reading to temp gauge. I think once of the reasons that the water temp may have raised is due to the underdrive pulley, obviously this being smaller will cause the water pump to rotate slower. Although I changed this well before the engine build I never had an aftermarket temp gauge so all I couldn't really tell if there was a big change at the time.

I see it has an additional front balance bar before the TB's. I'd be interested in seeing that inlet design if you are ever gong to take the front bumper off, or even a picture from below. Just to see what's on the other side of those black custom made induction boxes.

Thanks Jaffa, I guess with all the talk in this post I got worried that I may be running too hot. I know on the american forums people are actually rewiring their electric fans so they come on with ignition and are on permanently. I don't think my car could ever run as cool at 60 degrees personally, no matter what I have running.

I would say remove the spoiler but get a lip form Z center (like mine but without the spoiler). Then go 99 spec. It would look very nice indeed.

Take the day off on the 27th and watch him open it up. That way you can see for yourself if you don't trust him. Did you test the other cylinders ?

Have you checked your fuel pressure ?. Did you run the dyno at Surrey ?. If so hav eyou got your graph, check the AFR lines. I was getting Det above 16 psi, but running lean even at idle. Fuel pressure should have been 45psi but was about 18psi.

Cycled to work twice this week
You butt cheeks will get used to it after a while. I remember when I first started riding a bike again, I felt like I had nappy rash for a whole week. Woudl it be rude at this point to mention big brother.

Zed at garage
Pace SMIC's are very good for the money. If you don’t want to ge the Z1's. I'm personally running Greddy SMIC's, they seem to do the trick ok. Dual pop charges can sometimes be more hassle than they are worth. I have problems everytime it rains and at the moment I'm trying to figure out if I really need a twin pop. I'm going to try and make some sort of drip tray, but if I still get poblems after it rains I may well switch back to a single pop.

Electric fan draining battery
Was just reading another post about over heating and I've never actually checked the fan since I got back. I know it's running, but I've never checked whether it's pulling or pushing. Will have to have a look at this. It may be the reason I'm running hotter than I should be.

Today is crunch day
Is this scott at redline on the A127 ?. Depending on what the problem is is it not worth just getting it sorted by him. He knows what he's doing so you can be sure that it's gonna be good. If you do decide to give up and break the car, 1st dibs on the coil overs lol :). Seriously though, I really hope you an get it sorted and just enjoy driving it for a change.
