  1. Check for pin hole leaks in the fuel lines. Make sure your rad cap is still working as this may have ceased and rusted. Your fuel has probably lost it's vapour so filling her up with fresh would be a good start.
  2. I have one at home I'll dig it out tonight.
  3. I was hoping that wasn't a urine sample, then I read on ;)
  4. rallyman :)
  5. Well I took mine out last night after about a month of not using it. Once it was warm I had a little play. I forgot to check the temp gauge for a few minutes. I look up and it was sitting just below 250F :o. Pul over and left at idle with the fan on while I opened the bonnet.... too late looks like the pressure already found it's way out via the gasket around the water pump. Felt the rad and it was boiling hot near the water pipes, however the other side was stone cold. I'll be stripping down the front of the engine at some point and changing the water pump and gaskets, hopefully it's not found another way out as well. I think I'll switch back to a stock rad cap/ thermostat as well.
  6. Dump valves are the usual cause of the stalling when stopping or braking hard with the clutch depressed. I had the same problem and found that a pin had slipped out of mine. Off Topic, James old boy, been a while since I've seen you on here, how's business over in camper land ?
  7. I'd be very interested to see if the thermostat cures your issues. I have a similiar issue with a similar build. Electric fan, 555's uprated tubs and how front rad. It does sound like a thermostat problem, but if it's not that or an air lock, it's going to be pretty hard to figure out what is causing the problem.
  8. Have you done it yet ?. Here was my solution. http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=1039329
  9. This was the best I could come up with LMAO !!! http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=1036731

I used to go to school with a guy with very big ears but that's as close as I got !
  11. John will map you on a rolling road. Most other chips are jsut guess work based on other cars that have been mapped with those upgrades. Every car is different and performs differently regardless if the mods are the same. A custom map on a rolling road is always the best option if you can get it. But then I've been trying to get John to map my car for a while now, he's a very busy man and has a family and a project of his own so his time is sparse (or he just doesn't like me one or the two :) )
  12. When you get it on the conzult, get them to reboot the ECU so it relearns. OTherwise it's still using the average from the old and new readings.
  13. Am I the only one watching beastie boys video's when using that link ???
  14. Whoo Hoo congrats mate. I'll send you some contraception in the post ;)
  15. Finally Finished. She's back in two days and I've just got in from completion. I'll find out what weekends we are free when she's back and will send out the invites to the BBQ.
  16. Description Took a corner at 85 and lost control of the backend. Fish-tailed left then right, then hit a curb flew into a tree, did a 745 degree turn in mid-air, then hit another tree, took down the tree and fell out the car. Injury Report: Dislocated knee :o is that all ? I did that playing football lol
  17. A litte more done today. Stairs now finished, Final step put in place and handrail made up. I did try the lower rail running parallel with the top to start with but I just really didn't like it like that. Finished all the handrails now as well. Also fitted some babmoo screening on the fence in the decking area. Hope to have it all finished by midday tomorrow :hyper::hyper:
  18. Really sorry to hear that :(. I don't knwo what I would do if that happened to my daughter. Let us know how she gets on, fingers crossed they can make her right again :(
  19. I have those fitted to mine with Greg Dupree Downpipes and flexi pipes. The spool up is quicker than stock :)
  20. I don't know any poems, so I'll just add this.
  21. Either your tryes are plastic or somethings wrong with your suspension. You haven't got a tomei racing diff on it have you :).
  22. If you are looking at aftermarket manifolds, the best stock fit but with better flow are Mike Smith's. If you are looking at overall performance and are prepared to do some fabrication work to get everything to fit then you are looking at escort or pentroof.
  23. I replaced mine with plastic bushes when I first got the car, but they didn't seem to last long before it started to wobble again shortly after. So I then replaced them with short lengths of copper pipe with a washer at each end. Not a wobble since. :)
