  4. Sod that mate, Get yourself a blitz SBC-iD off of Get Greddy or GPS = £300 - £400. Wire it up yourself = £ 10 (silicon hose, connectors) And there you have it !!!!. Really is easy to connect it up as well. If you decide to go down this route, give me a shout when installing if you get stuck.
  5. Get some 1.1mm mig welding tips, an after market boost gauge and an aftermaket chip. Put them all in your 300zx and you will forget about her in no time ;). It's a cheap fix, but be warned it's addictive :D.
  6. I was responding to your how did you put 6x9's in the back but it seems that the post has been nuked ??? I think it was becase the trader in question was plugging for free, bummer really as there was some good information in there. Anyway here is my response to your question... I had the right tools :D Tools required Rubber Mallet Heavy Duty Tin Snips Jigsaw with Metal cutting Blade Drill with 3.5mm drill bit Mig Welder or Rivet gun Material Required Sheet Metal 2mm thick Instructions Remove the rear speaker mouldings. - To do this you will need to remove all the boot mouldings and also the rear seats Once the speaker/shock moulding is removed you can undo the 6x4 speaker. With the speaker removed you can undo the speaker bracket. Use a template from your 6x9's to cut a sheet of metal into the exact template. Once you have the metal template you will need to sit this on top of the speak bracket you removed from the car and mark the position where the legs should attach. With the positions marked on both the legs and the bracket, cut the legs away from the stock bracket. You then need to weld or rivet these onto the new metal template you cut out earlier. Put your 6x9 speaker in the modified bracket and mark out the area for the holes to attach the speaker. Drill the holes and put the speaker in place. You will now need to trim the bracket around the sides, With the speaker in place use your tin snips or sheet metal cutters to cut the excess metal away from the sides of the speaker (i.e. the 9" side), This will allow the bracket to fit in the rear moulding. On the passenger side wheel arch directly under where the speaker sits you will need to use your rubber mallet to create enough room for the speak to sit without contacting the wheel arch itself. The drivers wheel arch should not need any modification. Mount the new speakers in their new brackets in place and try the rear moulding for size. You should not need to make any further adjustments, however if it still does not fit correctly, You may need to bend the legs slightly to align the speaker correctly. I hope this helps :D I will add pictures to this later and post it in the tech section.
  7. You would say that …. You are a porn minster and a beer monster :D :D ;)
  8. I pretty much know what each of the connectors under the bonnet are now with the exception of these two. Any ideas ?
  9. All Jap imports have an electric drivers seat. However the heated seats were not standard. So you will have an electric Drivers seat but probably a mechanical passenger seat. Doubt they will be heated either. Gotta put some pictures on my site of your car when you get it mate :D. http://www.300zx-mods.co.uk
  10. Was it you ? Jaffa, no it wasn't you :D, it was on the way back from yours. :D
  11. Well you did it for a favour to PPS. ;) Would you put your car in there if they asked you now, no other purpose but to show your car in their mag ?
  12. lol, No mate it was not on purpose and James said that he had about a million things flashing through his head at the time. Ranging from " Oh my Gog what will his neighbours think" to "Oh sh|t there goes my no claims bonus". More reason why Jaffa, needs Better tyres traction control before he raises his boost at Christmas :D
  13. If you disconnect your 02 sensors they will default at 0.33v and should eliminate the problem, however this is no way a long term solution and they require changing as soon as possible. Get someone near to you run a diag on it with a conZult.
  14. I would stay away from the triples mate, Dual plates are bad enough. You need to rev the engine to change down a gear and hill starts are almost impossible. If you do get a triple plate clutch, give me a shout after you've been crawling along in traffic for 20 mins. I wanna hear how fooked off you sound LMAO !!
  15. To be honest I'd actually feel embarrassed to have my car in Max Power, Revs, Redline or Fast Car. I would be proud to appear in Jap performance mag or Banzai.
  16. Rich, With F1's on the back of my and running stock boost, it was hard to get the back out, so don't worry about it. However at 15 psi I can wheel spin in 2nd gear (3rd in the wet) with traction control turned off. My advice would be to find a nice safe area and deliberatly get the back out once or twice so you know what it feels like, because one day it will come out and you'll need to be ready for it ;). Group buy on rented air field space on a wet day anyone ?

Ooh competition  I've had a look at your site and I must say your prices seem very good.
  18. Not sure where you can get one from. I got mine from Vinz on this forum. It you send him a mail I'm sure he can either supply one or put you in touch with somone.

Excellent. I bet you were worried for a short while though weren't you :D ;)

So the James Bond smoke screen coming out of the rear of the drivers side zorst doesn't giver you anything to worry about ?
  21. I gotta go with Richard on this one. I was coming back from the pub last night ( I find it more fun to drive than to drink these days, that's how sad I am :D). And it had been chucking it down. Even with boost set at 13 psi my eagles were still holding the road round tight corners. James, you really got to try F1's on the back mate. Speak to mr Plastic tyre man ;) because he needs to get some as well and maybe able to point you in the right direction. Good luck with louise, I'm sure she was just tired and scared :D
  22. Hi Mate, Not sure what you mean by so it yourself but I guess you mean did I fit it myself. Yes, I was a little worried about doing it wrong, but it turned out to be a piece of piss to fit. I went for the blitz SBC-ID as I though it looked very simple and kinda smart rather than the others. I also liked the idea that you can set the warning on it so if you do get a boost spike it will flash red, the buzzer will go off and then it will limit your boost. So it's very safe. I wanted to get the power- id as well but at the time someone was selling the BC brand new for a good price so I snapped it up. I stil need to get the power -id but have to decipher what version of the SBC-iD I have first so that I can match it up. I'll take a picture of it at night so someone can tell me what version it is, as I think the only difference is the screen display colour.
  23. Excellent news Alex. Lets hope you don't have to touch her for many years to come.
  24. I thought my car was quick until I finished fitting my SBC-iD boost controller this morning. Spent most of the afternoon playing around with it and listening out for DET. I think I did have a very slight det once, but I was running 16.4 psi . Sorting that now and I'm running 15.8 with no det at all. Aftermarket intercoolers will be on order just after christmas. I decided to mount the SBC-iD in a Vinz pod :D. Not sure if that's the given name for it LOL. Has anyone else got one of these Vinz pods ?, how did you keep it from moving ?. I'm tempted to glue mine into place with some transparent glue, but I hope to get a power ID in the near future so don't want to have to dismantle it again to fit it. Thought I'd get rid of the nasty traction control box as well today and put some illuminated switches in place for fog lamps are various other bits ;).
