Thats very interesting! Does that mean Series 4's onwards are not able to be clocked? Im sure mine was converted to MPH by zedworld, but they didnt change the milage - that must be why (as it was on 118k km's and now it reads 124k or so, i.e 6k in miles)

Fact of the matter is that they are considerably weaker than the iphone, or mine is anyway. I weigh around 14 stone, as I said i lent against a wooden fence and it cracked, ive launched the iphone so many times and its had 10 or 20x the use and has shrugged it al of. Maybe you are more delicate than me but but you cannot say that a galaxy s is as strong as an iphone, for a start the galaxy is cheaply made with thin plastic on the back and has creaked since new. The iphone is strong and rigid.

Best thing to do would have it recovered/trailered to a specialist where it can be looked at and diagnosed properly. Then you can see what needs to be fixed. Was the oil level still on the dipstick when you checked it? Remember that of the 5 or so litres that the engine holds the dipstick probably only represents 1l or so of that.

I had a galaxy S, infact I still have it. Its now awaiting its third screen as its made of chocolate. I found it slow and buggy, even with the latest software totally unhappy with it. I even treated it with kids gloves but its just died over and over again. Mainly because its built poorly and has no structural strength. The iphone (coming from me who is the biggest apple hater..!) is a well built and nicely designed bit of kit. It is true I'm on my second one, but the first one put up with endless abuse and only died when it fell from my lap from a big pickup, bounced of the side bar on the way down and landed face first on a road.... Even then th phone worked perfectly well apart from the glass was all smashed. The galaxys first screen died when I lent against a wooden fence and it was in my back pocket. The second died when it fell from my pocket onto a RUBBER floor and shattered. So badly so that the LCD split, so I couldnt actually use it at all and was left without a phone for days until I could get home and resurect old faithful for the 3rd time (an elderly Sony X1).

Yeah I discovered this ages ago to my annoyance when I fitted my S2 interior from a LWB into a SWB. However having sold the LWB armrest i'm still snookered!

congratulations mate! Glad you have your old car back! By the sounds of it the car is in fine fettle so you shouldnt need to spend much on it! You'll soon get straight again!

My 3gs will be about out of contract by then so I think i'd quite like a 5.... The 3gs is actually my work phone but its on a contract paid through my company credit card, might just keep the 3gs as my work phone and have the 5 as my personal phone... :D Would I look a total bummer with 2 iphones tho...?

Thing is, 100k in 20 years is nothing. 5k a year is nothing at all. I do that in my zed and its a weekend car that even then I dont drive far! All these cars with 60k on import (funny that they've all got 60 on... not to much not to little ;) ) are more than likely clocked to that. I'm not saying all are but I would wager alot have had some of the years taken of. It must always be said to buy cars on condition rather than milage. Proven time and time again, my M3 had 100k on it and it was imacculate well looked after and in fine fettle. Did a track day with some other chaps of a BMW owners club, M3 there with "60k" on it, ran like a bag of shit hadnt been maintained etc. A friend of mine was obsessed with find a 330d with less than 100k on it until we looked at a 90'k er - what a bag of crap. So we went to look at one with 125k on and its 10x the car. Long story short, milage to be taken always with a pinch of salt ESPECIALLY on imports, buy on condition not milage!
