  1. Ah cool will do! Might just have jammed.
  2. What i'll do is open my eyes... and use the guide that groover put up. Nice little job for tomorrow afternoon!
  3. Well would you adam and eve it, mine did this today. Reset the trip coming out of my drive, and 8 miles or so later when i got to my house it was still at 0! Speedo still works fine but nothing moving on the trip. Whats the first thing to try chaps? Take the cluster out and check for obvious dirt/poor solder joints?
  4. Unless its a zinc disk it will just rub the plating of, like a cheap "gold" plated watch. If you rub the gold it will come of leaving whatever metal is underneath. Rusty disks are simply because your not using the car ;) Take it for a run and they will clean up nicely!
  5. If its a coating then as soon as you use the brakes it will rub the coating of! Get some ceramic brakes!
  6. I had the "is it a skyline" with the old one, but I really dont know why people ask that! Closly followed by "as it got dump valvzzz" as to which my response was yeah its got two, "...well make it do it then!" lol. Last time I drove with the targas of in town! I took it to my new house the other day and my neigbour was asking what it was, couldnt believe it was a nissan!
  7. I used to work with a guy who struggle to sleep, with sleep apnea. I saw him the other day and he was a changed man. Turns out he is using a mask or something and it really helps. He was hopeless at work always late, would fall asleep at his desk, when talking to customers and quite regularly on the loo (comedy running joke "you fallen in there paul, or just asleep?!"). I doubt its quite as bad as you describe but he said he cant believe how much its helped him.
  8. The car is so clever, it can sense driver ability and knows you arnt fit with anymore than 0.5bar... lol Have you reset the ecu since its had the boost leak fixed? I'm never entirely sure how all this works, but if the boost solenoids were disconnected/plugged etc (as if the car had had an ebc installed at some point) would that make it run at waste gate pressure which i think is 0.5bar? I could be talking total rubbish but maybe not...
  9. I thought about asking if it had tax and MOT and could be driven back to the northwest... lol Or possibly asking how he has adapted the inboard diesel to drive the tri axle trailer and what steering mechanism had he used? Could it be driven on an automatic only license? hehehe

Chances are most of these are 300zx's or some other imports... lol http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/nissan_missing

Sadly I think the data for the 300zx will be inaccurate, as many cars are listed and registered incorrectly. I think mine is down as a 2+2 on the v5... lol There is a zed knocking about on a 53 plate I think, and earlier models on w plates and all sorts, mainly due to the fact that dvla messed up the year of manufacture with the year of registration/import
  12. Sorry bud just seen this, I'm going to have to say I cant make it... after nearly a year of waiting my mate has said he can paint my wheels on that Saturday - i'm not waiting another years! Sorry dudes.
  13. I suspect it was desperatly searching for petrol, or a place to die.... I often wondered if zeds do that, run of like an animal to end their final days.... lol
  14. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hama-SCART-To-VGA-cable/dp/B0002W69MY Cant really go wrong for a few quid... lol
  15. Well the top one has S-video and componant and what looks like a coaxia (aerial) socket The second one just has a standard analogue PC input as used on most monitors up until the digital (DVI) age Scart into the analogue pc input - there is probably some sort of convertor for it - will have an oggle! Sorry... massive fail above mis judged which was which screen. I'll try again: Top one has some sort of componant/s video input the round silver ones look like to do with cctv and it has a tradition pc vga input Bottom one: Has S video, componant, vga for computers and also what looks like cctv inputs
  16. How the hell did you see that, I had to watch it 3 or 4 times to spot it lol even when I was looking for it!
  17. 40th is it? Happy birthday mate!
  18. Hold makes the car move of in 2nd from rest, its similar to a "snow mode" or it was on my auto... it also made it change gear earlier thus making it slower... but alot safer for people not used to the cars performance. Power should make the car hold onto gears It seems that people didnt read my earlier post about moving the stick into the 1, 2 positions. It does not change gear, it simply limits the gears available to the car. Although I admit that if your doing 60mph and put it into"2" it will change down into second, but if you are doing 10mph in first it wont go into second....
  19. hehehe well only for moaning you dont get spotted ;) Violin time :)
  20. haha lets hope they didnt catch any tin worm from anything in there - you know its contagious!
  21. If it makes you feel any better I average around 800 miles a week and so very very rarely do I see a zed... So rare on the roads, I see 3000gt's all the time, astons, ferraris all sorts but a zed is almost a none existant spot!
  22. hahaha ive only been spotted once I think, thats in the 3+ combined years of having zeds and that was 180 miles from home or so, being a hero/struggling on an icy roundabout last winter.
  23. Its a bit of a treck for you mate, 1:45 or so to wakefield but if you want to do some i'll gladly pay you! :) Yeah its very annoying. I just get a dispondent with it as nothing is getting done, my job is volatile and stressful at times. I tend to work away through the week and the rare occasion im back at home im so tired from driving I struggle to find the motivation, especially with not living there and it being at least a 20 minute drive up there. By the time ive had dinner its normally around 8 so by that time I just dont want to do much!
