  1. Vacuum lines damaged? To be honest I cant realy tell. Has it got TT injectors then? Fuel filter piped up wrong? Causing fuel starvation?
  2. Yeah cheers chaps I went for 6000k. We'll see, its only an experiment to see if its another issue or the existing HID's in my car are crap lol. Im hoping its the later of course but you never know!
  3. quick one just ordered some new hids for the zed. What colour should I get the place has just asked me? At work at the minute so can't look. I don't want it to be blue, as close to White as it can be. Thanks
  4. Mine have always been shit, if those are good phutumsch i'll give em a go, it could be that the HIDs ive got are just rubbish. If not i'll know its something else thats causing it lol
  5. It would be cool to put a nice auto dimming mirror from a BMW or similar, the E36 rear view mirror with auto dim is quite nice, and not to out of period for the zed. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Interior-Rear-View-Mirror-BMW-E36-3-Series-Auto-Dim-/370526169155?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item564514a843 Would need a power supply though - surely couldnt be that hard to do supply from the interior light perhaps?
  6. Nice but, standard brakes?! He must be a mad man.... To be honest, Id have sodded the cruise control and the AC and got the stopping power to match! I think it could be made stunning if the ride height, stance and paintwork were sorted out - its missing its shadow line and the paint looks a little flat to me? I thought the RB26 was a fairly popular over there? I cant understand why you would put an RB25 in instead as surely the two engines use basically the same mounts and electronics etc?
  7. They all sound like they have a misfire all the time! Lol joking aside perhaps worth checking the coil pack? 2 friends of mine had imprezas one of them had to change it the other one bought a car and in the history it had had one recently.
  8. I must admit, I keep having fleeting fancies about returning my entire car to stock as a rock...! Or OEM+... But then I look at my cool suspension, awesome wheels and epic brakes and think nah...
  9. I bet the guy is kicking him self! Must have been worth more to sell so quickely! Who bought it?! lol
  10. I dont really see how it makes much difference other than requiring more effort from the driver as there is less leaverage to move the selector with a shorter "shifter"... Surely as long as the clutch is depressed properly then all should be well!
  11. Jungle and Desert Strike!!!
  12. All joking aside, I do find it amazing that apparently the last JDM car was simply sold as stock. I'd have loved to have ordered one new, it would have been so exciting waiting for it to come! Doubt i'll ever be in a position to buy a brand new car, not that I would really want to because of the amount of money you would loose. Would be nice to have the money to loose though!
  13. This is what 1000 or so of them look like now!
  14. Just wanted to check did you receive my payment? Thanks
  15. Looks a slicktop as well! It is dam cheap! Obviously dont know what they have!
  16. i saw this the other day lol
  17. That sounds a good bet, no chance that the ecu or wiring for that switch is shorted anywhere? Or something else messing it up. I dont recall ever trying to put mine into 1st when in hold tbh so I wouldnt know if it would force 1st even in hold..!
  18. Not sure anyone mentioned it but sometimes the hazards switch gets stuck done ;) hehe
  19. Grumpy old git ;) hahaha But i know what u mean lol.
  20. So they'll be having everyones cars retrofitted with a new stereo thats of OEM style? It's a bit unfair, I know analogue TV has all but gone (has in the northwest anyway!) and yes its rendered some tvs useless but for £20 you can buy a freeview box, great, how much is a box to convert your normal stereo in a car? Can it actually be done on all cars? Thing is, second hand market for cars is big business, cars up to 20 years old are sold regularly and for reasonable value (I dont just mean zeds!) They have a much longer life than TV's and pretty much all cars still have fm radios fitted as standard! Means no one is going to be able to listen to the radio!
  21. Awesome stuff... where the hell did you manage to get that genuine nissan abs tested from?! I'd be amazed if there is a main dealer that still has one of those!
  22. What coolq is looking at, you could argue that the E92 came with anything from a 2.0 diesel engine but although the basic shell is the same, the suspension, track, bushes, brakes, wheels, diff, transmission are all different. Not to mention the fabulous 4.0 V8 motor in there. The body panels are different on "M" cars, an awful lot of people get confused between M Sport and a proper M car, the M sport cars are what were just called "Sport" up until 2001 or so, then BMW realised that everybody liked to pretend they had an M car, so simply put M infront of the sport... sadly you can get most models as an M Sport. The body work is similar but thats where it ends. Its a LONG LONG way from a base model standard car with a big engine it! CoolQ, a stunning car is the E92 M3, no way my finances will allow for many years and dam I'd be jealous!
  23. Nah i wouldnt think so, do you have an aftermarket water temperature gauge just to make sure the car isnt getting a bit warm overall? Wouldnt hurt to check the gearbox oil just incase its getting warm through being low.
  24. It appears not, we took it for a little drive after it had cooled for a couple of hours and it seemed happy enough and sounded fine. Idled well and provided smooth predictable power up to around 3000rpm, i warned him against any spritied driving until its been checked out and to make sure nothing else is lodged up in there and no damage has been done. No well its always the pitfalls of garages, I know we all make mistakes but that could have been VERY serious!
  25. youve got aftermarket turbos havnt you, i assume they would generate more heat, perhaps its heat transfering through the fire wall etc?
