Stuart, According to some figures posted recently by Mike Feeney on z-club.net, the SMMT 2001 figures for the Z32 on the road in the UK are as follows: 300ZX Z32 manual : 781 300ZX Z32 auto : 436 Apparently that's 120 less than 2000 :( ... Surely, there can't even have been 5000 sold in the UK, unless a frightening amount have died prematurely. A good proportion of these were probably imports even in 2001, I'd guess. Makes it even more vital that we keep ours going!! :D:D CheerZ, John-Boy.
  2. Hubba, Hubba, Hubba!! :D:D:D Are those Stillen vents at the side, like on the GTR-Z? I once had a nice wallpaper with a red GTR-Z on, but seem to have lost it now ... doh! :(
  3. Nope - I have to agree with Jimbo here :D I'm sure there was something we used to get as kids that was coke with a lump of ice cream floating in it ... can't remember what it was called but (unsurprisingly ;)) it tasted just like Vanilla coke ... could well have been a "Coke Float", I 'spose LOL .... :D:D Not a great fan, myself, of Vanilla Coke or Lemon Coke - original is still the best in my book. CheerZ, JB.
  4. Still, I bet your boss isn't around, though - judging from the resumption of normal posting frequency!! :D;) So, it *could* be worse ... btw, Walkers Ready Salted - King of Crisps ... best version for a brake caliper! :D
  5. Looks superb, Waz, you must be as pleased as punch! :D Lovely shine and a really tasteful set of mods .. nice! I'm afraid I agree about the clear indicators and rear lights .. but let's face facts, these cars are never gonna stop costing us all a fortune, are they? :D They'd be no fun if they were cheap - what would we have to moan about??? ;)
  6. LOL ... Good answer! Don't believe you, but good answer!!! ;):D CheerZ, John.
  7. Hmmm, that big bhp tax disc holder looks just like mine ;) Does the article say how many extra bhp they add?? ;) Also are there tips on the correct torque for the allen bolts that hold it together .. I wanna make sure it's set up correctly! LOL :D
  8. Dave - no problem .... Easiest way to go about it is to visit Z-club website Take the option on the first page: "join the club" and there's a downloadable form to e-mail off to Steve Kemp, who's the membership secratary. I can fully recommend joining - nice bunch of people and an excellent quarterly magazine (soon to be regailed with some Z32 stuff ;)). CheerZ, John-boy.
  9. No, no, no, no ... IMO - it's gotta be 01's all the way ... I think multi-spokes look lurvelly on Zeds .... :D Go on Mac, a change is as good as a rest from the other Z's AZEVs ... eh? JB. :)
  10. Yep, good idea Jock - Just remains for Smithy to say whether this is viable - but yeah, I am happy to contribute. CheerZ, John. :D
  11. Stu, I think that would make you 80 degrees impure ... teehee. I'm a good boy at 40% .... but also feeling like I've missed out! ;) CheerZ, JB.
  12. Nice one Barks - well done indeed! ... here's hoping that you can still pick up that can and haven't skinned your knuckles, broken your fingers etc, etc :D My hat is off to you as one who'd love to be able to do this sort of thing, but is frankly, too scared to try it! :D
  13. Cool, It seems like patience is the order of the day, then! :) Nice to know it's still on the agenda and that you're carrying on, albeit in a different guise. CheerZ, JB. :D
  14. Well, I would suggest that someone who knows Smithy and wants them gives him a bell, then - perhaps Mac? I know he was up for them before ... As I said, it was going to be a group-buy, but it petered out in the end, 'cos of whatever was going on with at the time with Cybercraft, I assume, and tbh, I've no idea what the current status is:confused: Having said that, I definitely want some!! :):D
  15. Well, a while back Smithy was looking at doing some of these as a group buy ... but it's kinda died now, I think ... Does anyone know what happened with them? Smithy? I think they were going to be about 150 quid :) I'm definitely still in the market for some! :D CheerZ, JB.
  16. Yay!!! Nice one ... love the colour, and welcome to the madness Cerina ... somehow I knew it was only a matter of time!! :D:D Congratulations ... now get rid of that Beemer, will you? CheerZ, John.
  17. Good spot Neet, 'tis true ... can I come in? :) Stuart - no offence meant - just made me chuckle, and I suspect a combination of giving up smoking, *and* listening to Limp Bizkit's "Break Stuff" has made me more confrontational than normal! :D Calm restored now! ;)
  18. Stuart, mate - that's a bit rich coming from someone who can't spell "teach" - teehee - Sorry mate, couldn't let that one go by .. Where is Mike Duffy? ;) I have two also .. however they are for my old zed, which has been eaten by a scrap yard :( As for the batmobile, only horrible aftermarket cheapos .. yuck! CheerZ, JB.
  19. Nice one Matty :D, And may I congratulate you on your impeccable choice of colour!!! ;) And that's from someone as unbiased as the voting in the Eurovision!!! :D;)
  20. Oh, this one's easy!! ;) John Simpson - BBC's senior foreign correspondent .. and mightily amusing performer on Have I got news for you too!! :D It's never long before you can view my namesake dodging bullets in some far flung corner of the world! Far braver than me!!! ;) CheerZ, John.
  21. I might have known you'd beat me to it James!!! :D Must learn to type faster ..... now where does Stu keep that "lightning fast"???
  22. Funny, I was just thinking that!!! :D:D (he said, adding to his own post-count!! ;)) BTW, I liked your one about Brian Blessed .... don't take any notice of old Jimbo!!! ;)
  23. Another sinister one for me ... My father-in-law to be is the cousin of Jeremy Bamber, the chappie that's doing life for killing his whole family in the infamous White House murders ... in fact he's sat in the same chair that I sit and have a cup of coffee in of a Sunday morning ... And, at my Mother-in-law to be's wedding - he hid in the cupboard in her bedroom and jumped out at her when she went up to get changed ..... They said he was always a "bit" of an odd-ball ... Christ, I hope it doesn't run in the family!!! :);)
  24. Glen, There's something I'd like to ask you about the provenance of my car ... if you're happy to, could you PM some contact details, since I can't e-mail or PM you from here .... I'm hoping you can help me ... :) Thanks in advance, John.

I'd echo that recommendation, based on a guy who works for me, who's had 5 cars done there - tip-top job each time! (I know, but him and his missus do tend to attract other objects ;)) Anyhow, I'm going to go see him next week I hope - so I'll report back on the experience too ... Handy thing is that it's all of 200 yards away from the office ;) CheerZ, JB. :)
