Phew! That's a relief, I was just thinking this thread was gonna need an injection of "eh, eh, eh ... it's only a debate of foreign boogers speeding" ... Besides, I'd say Tim must definitely have a sense of humour; just look at his post-count, you can't carry on that long on here without one!! ;) And, hey, just ocassionally wouldn't it be nice to hear a politician come out with such an honest and forthright response! :D :D

My last one was a UK August '94 M Plate (08/08/94) - so I guess I *had* the newest UK one, up until last November. It's just been illicitly crushed or pensioned off by a stupid f**kin insurance co .. so that was the end of that:mad:

Oh yeah, sorry ... I forgot to include the standard "except me, of course!" disclaimer :D Hypocracy .. what Hypocracy!!! ;)

Well, that's a fair point Dave, but the thing that gets my goat, is that *if* you get stopped there, it's no questions asked ... give me your money ... friends of ours were stopped at the peage, and my mate was wheeled off by the gestapo, without even a chance to speak to his missus to the nearest cash point .... Because we don't have the same on-the-spot fine system, it seems that the foreigners just get away with it .... that's the thing here ... I thought we all ignored m/way speed limits regardless of location tbh!:D

Here, Here Tim ... As a regular M20-dodge-the-unmarked-driver ... this thing with the flying Belgians and Frenchies has long been a bugbear of mine:mad:  It's just not cricket ... but bloody typical, nonetheless.
  6. All the best MAtty, let's hope you're ordeal isn't *too* painful, and think of all the bits you can buy for the 300 with the compo! ;) I'd recommend a course of Japanese Performance to take your mind off it, whilst your foot's up! :D As for this: What does that say about the pair of you??? (as if we didn't know!:D :D :D ) - Post Whore, anybody? ;);)
  7. Not surprised .. I work for an Anglo-Dutch company too ... and they're tighter than the proverbial duck's rectoid ... ;)
  8. Well I'd like to weigh in on the defence of high spoilers ... Wasn't at all sure when I bought my car, but as time's gone by, I've grown to love it :D Even makes it easier to spot in the car park!!! ;) Paul Bailey is the man IMO!
  9. Here Here ... WTF is wrong with people ... snidey e-mails undermining members ... we're supposed to be a group of "like-minded" enthusiasts, not playground cliques .... I vote with Tim ... expose the e-mailer ... this really is shoddy behaviour. I've no direct experience of work done by either party, but spend a bit of time trawling through this site (with the sh!t filter on), and you'll see that both protagonists are immensely knowledgeable about these cars, and more than capable of carrying out this sort of work. Personally, this sort of rubbish gets me down .. and I suspect all of the "genuine" members on here ... it is PATHETIC. JB.
  10. This evening at about 6.00, driving down the A20 through Bearsted towards Ashford ... Sexy looking Pearl Yellow Z, with a wild kit ... (made mine look tame:( ) .. twin outlets and blacked out lights, with a nice Z logo on the rear panel ... Would have liked to have followed you a bit longer, but had an urgent date with the chip-shop!:D
  11. LOL ... Looks like you'll be needing a new screen name then!;) ;)
  12. LMFAO Also!!! That is superb, these guys have definitely been to Nelson's academy .. and you've got to take your hat of to him ... just look at the times!:D :D As for the styling effects .... Nelson you have been well and truly vindicated!:p
  13. Poor, Poor, Poor Little Zed .... :( £800 - you're right - they're having a laugh ... 50 quid's worth of filler and she'll be right as rain!:D :D Not!
  14. Marvellous! To all those who were waiting for bits from my dearly departed previous Zed .. apologies (Chris, Roy, Stu, Az etc ...) Got a letter from Bell-End Direct tonight:mad: And after months of the case-handler avoiding my calls, I get a letter in the post tonight, informing me that: "Since my car is a Cat B write-off .. you can't have it back .. in fact we've had it crushed (as I suspected) on the 4th March, but couldn't be arsed to tell you about it 'til now!"  Well, that's just 'kin great ... they could have had the decency to tell me in advance, and, kiss good bye to that un-molested Z-centre exhaust (1 month old), brand new clutch, perfect leather seats, etc, etc ... which could have been passed on to those who needed/wanted them. Bar-stewards!!!!!!!!! In case you didn't guess, this has p1ssed me right off:mad: What a waste ... and what a bunch of cowardly gits ... letter of complaint on flaming paper to follow ... For any other Bell-end customers - be warned, unprofessionalism level high! JB:mad:
  15. Oh Sh1t, Paul .. you need to fire a rocket up their ass!;) Sorry to hear that, mate ... hard lines!:( Still, she'll be all the better when you do get her back!:D CheerZ, JB.
  16. Booze cruise on Saturday night - if there's any left after Marc's been!!! ;) ;) Apart from that - DIY:( And hopefully getting a few miles in with the tops out:D :D Have good surf, matey!
  17. Ok Mate .. understood ... Why not? Next time it's sunny, get the tops out and get your arse over here .... we can have a lunch time mini-meet!!! ;) CheerZ ....
  18. Yeah, why not ... pop on over to Sidcup and we'll head for the nearest establishment with edible food ;) Cheers Matey ... JB.
  19. Happy Birthday Jimbob!!! :D :D :D 31!!!!! That's a dodgy old age ;) You wouldn't catch me being 31 ... doh! What I meant to say, 31 - a great age, still young but refined and classy .... oh heck, what am I talking about - welcome to the old gits' society!!! Hope you have a great day ....
  20. Oh yeah Andy ... and all the signs suggest that she's going to be unattractive, don't they .... ;) ;) ;) hehehe .... Still, you never can tell!!! But I know where my money is!! ;)
  21. Yep, got to agree with the masses ... hat is firmly off to you Stuart, this is compelling stuff - much better than the normal forum slanging matches;) ;) Can't wait for the next installment ... :D JB.
  22. Jeesh Eric:( Just seen this and remember well how excited you were when you picked her up - feel really gutted for you .... Hope things pick up soon ... there's far too many bad stories on this forum at the moment .... let's hope the sunny weather will bring everyone some better luck! Best of british mate - hope things pick up soon. Looks like a lovely clean motor, though - 5.5 - 6k doesn't sound unreasonable ... at least as a starting point. CheerZ, JB.
  23. Aren't those kick plates similar to the ones that Smithy was going to make up? Considerably cheaper too, from what I remember ... Smithy, is this still going to happen? I can't help but think they'd look sweet in place!!:D :D CheerZ, JB.
  24. I don't know if I qualify as a sad "old" hippy yet, although I am the wrong side of 30 (just;) ) ... But best gig I saw last year was Roger Waters at Wembley Arena .... It was *awesome* ... definitely the best gig I've ever seen ... he did a good 3 hour set too .... superb:D As for seeing AC/DC - bring it on!! Angus, Angus, Angus!! CheerZ, JB.
  25. I don't know Wazza ... as it goes, I've got a BA(hons), and tbh, I spent more time fishing than I did at uni - so I'm not sure what a degree prooves .... Whatever it said on the presidents' site, if you ever watch George W speak, he constantly makes up words and stumbles over the auto-cue .. IMO, he is definitely as dense as fook .. the provision of some academic qualifications doesn't really do anything to change my mind .... All conjecture, or course, since I've never met the guy ... that's my 2p ... Let's not pretend he's one of the great US presidents though a al Lincoln .. 'cos he ain't;)
