  1. Yeah, I've got one .. but it's not plumbed in yet ... I'll take a piccy of it in situ for you as soon as I can .. I've tried just sitting it in place and it looks great .. just need to buy the gauges now! Bought it at Billing :D

LOL ... Am I the only dummy who thought that 100 must be the maximum! :D (Or am I just the only person stupid enough to admit it). Roy, perhaps you could sneak a few past security buried in the Supra-issue chest wig? :D;)

Personally, I'm not too worried about the cost, if it's gonna look after my Zed better, after all that's where the really big bills come from!! Although £4 a litre sounds a little expensive, are you sure that's not a gallon? (i.e. 90p a litre) :D Az, could you explain the bit about MON rating, for the hard of understanding like myself - what is it, and what does that mean for peformance/engine protection etc? CheerZ, JB

Very interesting, Roy .. but it doesn't sound to promising to me ... I mean, even though Scoobies are as common as muck ;), I still don't think that's going to sway Shell into introducing a whole new fuel to the UK, where most people want cheap rather than quality :( Ah well, you never know, we'll have to wait and see. (Not that I have a Mine's ECU or anything of course ;):))
  5. Well done indeed .. that sounds like one hell of a labourious job - no wonder he hasn't posted lately!! :D

Read the text under my username! :D Nuff Z? (BTW, apologies for hijacking your thread Nigel, I fully agree as it goes, in fact, in a previous debate I did suggest a 50 post limit .. I mean it's enough to make up one's mind, surely?) :)
  8. LOL - I wondered what the glow round the bottom of my car was at night these days ... assumed I'd just driven through some radioactive waste ... :D:D Or am I barking up the wrong tree?
  9. Well for once I'm not going to leave the honours to Stuart, and say, yes it has been posted before, by the madam treasurer unless I'm very mich mistaken ... Don't worry though, Dave, it's so bad it warrants a second viewing LOL :D CheerZ, JB.

No, you fecking can't  - Be more careful next time ... that'll learn you! ;) I fully support Scoops in his slating of the youth of today; guess that's 'cos I'm a miserable b'stard! :D
  11. Looks very nice matey - cracking job ... Phone call to follow in the near future!! ;):) So, did you finally find a use for that neon tube then?
  12. NP Martin :D Good decision on both counts! Welcome aboard :)
  13. Martin, are you getting confused between clubs and forums here? This forum has no formal affiliation with the Z-club, (although quite a few of us are members of both), which has it's own forum at http://www.zclub.net. If you paid 25.00 to Steve Kemp, then you've joined the z-club, which whilst it brings all the Z-club benefits, will not make you a subscribed member here - for that you need to fork out a further 20 quid; but it's well worth it IMO! ;) Just a thought. CheerZ, JB.
  14. Suddenly it all becomes clear ... and the fatal flaw that appeared in your plan, Phil ... boo, what a bugger! :( If you're gonna go for perfection though, and hold out for a 98/99, surely you wanna make sure it's a manual too! ;):):D CheerZ, John.
  15. Hmmm, can't explain that, Jim, but no Nelly, I don't think so... I believe that it should have no net effect, since the Z is endowed with some clever gadget to disengage the air con when you want maximum welly. It does have a special valve though, that increases the idle when you switch it on (can't remember the name) presumably this increases the fuelling, so maybe this is related after all. CheerZ, JB.
  16. Agree with both points here .. particularly the part about Roy. He'd paid his 20 quid and had as much right to be there as anyone else, after all, it was a 300zx.co.uk stand not a Z32 stand. Surely if we're to be a club, including "enthusiast" members then they should be allowed on our "club" stand. I think we should definitely allow any member to park on the stand next year, after all, I think we're all after being more of a fun club than an elitist one. In fairness to whoever directed Roy off, the z-club had had to help martial our stand as our own martial (allegedly) was nowhere to be found ... I guess the z-club rep may not have known that Roy had booked a space. CheerZ, JB.
  17. Ditto really .. what a superb weekend, although as Paul rightly points out, most of Sunday was a little *painful* :O Don't worry though mate, I'm much better now .. back on the Stella ;) (Didn't stay tea-total for long!! ) I agree that the 3 PPS cars really made an excellent centre piece on Saturday, they all looked superb - Stu, Mac, Martin - jealousy was high on the agenda, and the call to Peter's gonna be made this week for sure! Good to meet everyone that I managed to - even got the sign-off from Mrs John-Boy for the return visit :D - Wonders never cease. I'll echo my posting on zclub.net and say thanks to Steve Burns and the other organisers for providing such a tremendous show-case for Japanese motors - obvioulsy the Z32s were the best, but then that was never in doubt, surely! CheerZ, JB.
  18. Lee, I hope they're OK as I've just sovved out for one!! ;) Serioulsly though, a few on here have them, e.g. Mr Duff and Ajay for a start. Had positive feedback from both of them, but they are *not* fully stainless either. Be careful to order the correct one, btw, there are 3 the hyper, super-drager and legal - the first two are single outlet - you want the "legal" if you want twin pipes, which I hope (when it finally shows up) will have 2x4" outlets. HTH, JB. :D
  19. Stu, I have complete spare manwell ECU ... Let me know if you need it ... Give me a bell on my mobile, I'll be on conference calls 'til 6, but should be able to answer. Ahh, the joys of a mute button ;) JB.
  20. Keep it on re-dial .. that's the only way! ;) If you hear the "Call waiting" thing, hang-up and try again. I've always managed to get there in the end, but sometimes it does take a *while*. Haven't tried e-mail .. you need to speak to someone.

I believe it would still show a positive reading, as safety boost is still around 7 psi, I think, and I don't think the car would be "super slow", in fact in the buyer's guide it recommends an ECU check for safery boost, as it's not always immediately apparent if you haven't been in a Zed before. Could this still be knackered turbos .. after all, I don't think you should be able to hear the turbos spooling .. I can't hear mine.
  22. No, No and thrice, No! Jeesh mate .. you *must* get the car going by Billing - we need to admire Peter's handywork! And you deserve to be able to show her off. All I can offer you is good luck, I'm afraid, as you are well aware, I am a mechanical f**kwit. So, good luck.
  23. I'll second that!! :D;)
  24. LOL James ... I knew that big crate had a new joke book in it ;) And it's not even Friday :(
  25. Make that 25 ... Me and the missus will be arriving with the first Shandy-drinker's convoy on Firday evening - might even leave the lemonade out of the Stella, since it's a special occassion! ;):D:D CheerZ, JB.
