where to buy methanol methanol
I used to work for a Volvo Truck dealer, we had methanol in 205 litre drums and it was sold over the counter, it was used in the air brake circuits to stop the brakes freezing up. Maybee not used as much as most commercial vehicles dont use that now. HTH Cheers John Crisp

exhaust sizes
I helped my mate weld a single exit system for me, 2 sections of 3 inch pipe from the cats merging into a 4 inch pipe to the silencer which is 6 inches in diameter and is 2 inches straight through it. It isnt too loud, more of a deep roar, even more so when its kicked. I have pics somewhere if it helps. Cheers John Crisp

AC Autotechnic Gauge Suppliers UK
I dont have any pics but I have a link.... http://www.acautotechnic.com/main/ If you click gauges at the bottom left then S7 Invision at the top, they are black until powered up and I think there are silver ones as well. I can get a Silver backed one from Chris@GETGREDDY but I want to try and keep them all the same. Cheers John Crisp

Running problem UK TT
Are you in a garage with a compressor, would it be possible with a pressure restrictor to pressurise the intake with minimal pressure like the car is fully boosting then you would be able to see or hear where the air is leaking. Cheers John Crisp

Aftermarket Half Rear Bumper
Anyone got any pics or input into fitting the lower half (Vielside) rear bumper, I got one recently and the main thing I noticed was that my UK car has the space for a long numberplate whereas the bumper section I have doesnt, its for a square numberplate. Cheers John Crisp

Running problem UK TT
Ahh well worth a try........could it be clogged intercoolers with the oil passing the turbo's seals into the intercoolers then solidifying through time if the cars been laid up....seen that before, again restricting the air. Electrical then its gotta be Conzult to see whats happening. Cheers John Crisp :headvswal

Running problem UK TT
If the car has been laid up, what about the air filters, could they be restricting the air going into the engine, could this be the cause of the turbo's failing, I have seen turbo's failing on commercials due to restricted air intake's/filters, the turbo is trying to compress air and its restricted so it actually sooks oil past the turbo seals and causes it to fail.....maybee a lot of mince as its more relating to truck turbo's but a turbo is a turbo. Maybee worthwhile checking the filters or removing the intake hose to eliminate the air filters. As I said maybee a lot of mince but if the basics aint there it wont go worth a monkies. Air Impact Wrenches???????????
The electric guns are good, I havent used one but i know a few guys who have and would recomend one. As Alan says not an every day tool but handy for the weekends or even when on call out for speed when doing roadside/on site repairs. Lets be honest there aint gonna be many jobs where a high torque is required on a zed, if you go higher torque there is always the chance of breaking bolts.....very easy done when you have a powerful gun even when its turned down. Cheers John Crisp :duffer:

Air Impact Wrenches???????????
I am a mechanic to trade and used a Snap on 1/2 drive air gun (forgot part number) which could loosen wheel nuts on trucks without a problem ( torqued at 625 Nm) but it was a nightmare when tightening things as it broke quite a few bolts easily. I now have a similar gun as you have posted above and find it good for saving time etc and I think it would be of use to you. Much better than an air ratchet that caws the hand off you when it tightens bolts up and they get to tight and you keeep the air on. Just my 2p's worth. Cheers John Crisp
