  1. Very very clean silver zed on an R reg new one on me i was in the black one at the sainsburys roundabout. driving. looked reallytidy.
  2. or use this easy way to work it out. Zed+fuel+heavy foot = lots
  3. regardless of year, go for one that has been well looked after and maintained. The difference between an n/a and a twin turbo is noticeable. Once you start looking at some, you will see some total dogs, but done up to look good, then some really good ones. Dont buy the first you see, unless it really stands out from the rest. Anyone who is enthusiastic about these cars will be able to tell you what has, or has not been done. If you need help with looking at one, post it up, most guys if local will help out and look it over for you. If your unsure of what your faced with. again post it up. no matter how silly you think its, its probably been asked before. we are here to help. Stu
  4. red looks better than the black. isnt there a way you can light up the new z logo. would look cool.
  5. as in where it sits in the block not the water pipe but where it is on the block. if so how the hell did you manage to crack it?
  6. Barry you dont need to worry about the wheels, just sort out all the oem arms and bits and go for adjustable stuff. Next time your over at mine, have a look under mine. you will see what i mean. stu
  7. Had mine set up a couple of years back, then it was £140 all in including balance. So your price is fair. makes a hell of a difference too.
  8. LMFAO Superb, would have been a case of my toys are bigger than yours, oooops one of my side winders has launched. Oh well, :thumbup1:
  9. All this talk of speeding tickets you should all be ashamed of your selves. Got my only ever 3 points, when i was a retained firefighter, trying to get to the station for a call. 34 in a 30, by a local copper who said "where is the fire then sonny?" as i sat there in fire kit with a brigade bleeper going mental. he said i should know better. Then got into the police, and was as good as gold, but used to give out tickets by the dozen. I was a very Lenient copper. if you passed the attitude test, then no problems, if you failed it, then you will be getting a ticket. After i left the force, all was good until i went to the sushi sunday, with this club and the other club. Some idiot thought it would be good to "go to tangmere airfield" where me, crotchrocket and nick bananazed had been playing before. After nearly 30 zeds started playing on a 3 miles disused runway, only for some old girl on a bike to take offence, for 3 traffic cars to turn up. Everyone got a section 59 warning for messing about, but luckily for me the guy who was booking us up, was my old partner, took my details but didnt do anything about it. Said they were looking for a black one, a red one and a white one, Naturally is clearly wasnt us, as there had been a scooby there, which was black with red doors and a white spoiler. Knowledge is power. Its not what you know but who you know. :punk:
  10. Look great paul. which kit did you have, was is the 6k?
  11. welcome mate. gives us the pics. its the law. enjoy
  12. i have the same fitted to my UK. Can be done with engine in. if you have a UK, you also need to remove the precat cat. Mine had a couple of stubborn nuts. but done. Sounds great with the Japspeed boxes.
  13. Agree with redwine, need to check the pistons, sounds like one is seized a bit. push em out and clean them up. Whats the wear on the disks like??
  14. Nice to see another lady owner, these cars can be a bit complex. If your unsure of anything just post it up, we are here to help. Most of the folks on here have had problems with their cars, there is a wealth of knowledge. Enjoy.
  15. The way i did mine. as they were heavily dirty. Remove from car, and hung over my wall. Soaked with water, then poured carpet cleaner over, brushed in with a large scrubbing brush. The foam turned black, while still soaked, used a jet washer and just blasted the crap out. did this a couple of times. came out as new. Dont worry about using a jet washer as the rubber backs are more than strong enough to hold together, then just left to hang over wall, today a few days to totally dry. Dont put on the washing line, as 4 x mats full of water are dam heavy and will easily snap the washing line. Trust me i know. came out as good as new. Amazing how much dirt they can hold. stu
  16. Bought my UK TT for £1500. Done all mods myself, nothing major has need replacing, only the clutch and that was £220. i have changed the look of it from when i got it. it had a large wings west spoiler, some crappy veilside skirts and a god awful bumper. Now has a fibreglass 89 spoiler. new sills which i was donated, and a jap front bumper. I would say all in including the buying of her £2200. Not bad for a late 94 spec UK TT Manual. That works and puts a smile on your face..
  17. happy birthday steve and mikey.
  18. as long as its a 1 mega ohm resistor, it will be fine. connect it to the loom side not the sensor side. disconnect battery for an hour to reset ecu.
  19. I have a spare alloy crank pulley and all belts of the engine i got from Uno, i have removed it but never fitted to my Uk. Does it make much of a difference?. sure its far lighter, but can it make a noticeable difference, what are the benefits.
  20. Paul is a decent lad. Have chatted loads, and got a brand new OEM 89 spoiler of him with brake light, which he delivered to his dads as i am only few miles away. Wish all people were the same when buying parts
  21. But its rare............ It has an alloy accelerator pedal fitted in japan. Thats what makes it so rare..............:gun_bandana:
  22. have at look at the tread shop in chichester, west sussex. very good prices and decent part worn stuff. All thoroughly checked, and off cars that have been written off. http://www.thetreadshop.co.uk/ i havent used them yet, but folks i know have and spot on service
  23. welcome mate its law to show pics of your zed. any help you need just ask we are here to help. stu
