  1. last year i had all 6 numbers, but only on two lines. first 3 numbers on the first line then the last 3 on the next line. Typical get all the numbers and won £20. Why couldnt the last 3 be 5mm up.
  2. Could have been mate, just as i was passing that moores dorset cookies place or thereabouts. Series 4 flat top spoiler and a standard front end. was definitely a guy driving.
  3. weird same seller was selling loads of zed bits, i had bid on a pair of uk rear fogs lights, and was watching the very same show plate. I got done within the last 20 secounds for a grand total of 50p. The guy is only 8 miles away from me, i sent an email stating i would be able to collect, never heard anything. Seems strange a local unknown zedder to me, has a few bits, but ive never seen him. I know guys locally who own a zed, but not this one.
  4. welcome mate, im not far from you just along the coast, i cant help re the cam belt as ive never done one on a zed, better off being done properly by zedworld, but apart from that im willing to help on other stuff, i have a good knowledge of most common problems that you may come up against, and dont mind losing a bit of knuckle skin and getting stuck in. we need some pics of your zed. Stu
  5. excuse the pun, but that meat looks great........... Is it like a bbq but bigger, so it smokes, as opposed to flames stuff. Any details please.
  6. Ive got boost jets in mine, have been in mine since i got it, never had a problem and it pulls like mad. but an ebc is the way to go.
  7. Yep that works, remember my polishing my balance bar thread:censored: Steams. Nice to know guys are quite happy to post up their pain threads, always make me chuckle.
  8. Welcome mate, good luck with your search. There are goods ones and some old dogs. but bargains are there. As stated we are here to help, just let us know. Just to give you an idea i bought my 94 UK TT manual for £1500. engine is spot on, with just a few bits to sort, but luckily for me i have done all or any work myself.
  9. Haha its not just me that does stupid homer simpson things then. Any pics?? :wheelchair:
  10. Spotted an M reg silver with series 4 spoiler whilst driving back towards Dorchester Think it was M376 ?TT. about 12ish looked nice and tidy. I waved but didnt get a response, i was in a white nissan micra (girlfriends)

  14. Having been reading up, its seems there are a few guys who need their wheels refurbishing. OK if you single part rims but a problem if you have 3 piece split rims. My wheels are a very rare set of 18" Gewalt 3 peice split rims. I found that i was losing air from one of my rims, after getting the tyre checked it was leaking from the joint between rims. 1. Remove all the securing bolts, mine were 10mm nuts and 9mm torx style bolts. Total of 34 bolts and 34 nuts each wheel, so 4 x wheels= 136 bolts to undo. 2. Separate the outer wheel face from the rim. i did this using a rubber mallet from the back. 3. Now split the rims, mine was held together with a clear silicone, and was clear that it had perished over time. I used a stanley knife and sliced the whole way round, then prise them apart. Cleaned the off stuff off with the blade and some silicone remover, then some wet and dry to get a clean smooth surface. 4. Using some black all weather silicone, place a bead on both faces of the rim about 5mm on each, try not to get in the holes for the bolts as you will need to keep these clear. I didnt put the wheel face on yet, but using a few bolts clamp the rims back together and do up tight. 5. Some of the silicone will have no doubt squashed out, smooth of the outer rim (would be inside the tyre) and also the bolt holes, i used an ear bud to remove the excess, then leave over night to dry. 6. Once its full cured, tidy it all up with a stanley blade, and check for any gaps, remove the bolts that you used to clamp together. 7. Most of the nuts and bolts were rusty, so to clean these up, i put the bolts in a bucket with Brick cleaner (acid) and left for 20 mins. Same with the bolts but only for 5 mins as they are hard chrome. Then put them all in a soak of boiling water to clean, then dry them. Quick spray with some ptfe spray to seal. 7. Replace the outer wheel face, and line it all up. I used the bolt holes like a clock dial,so if say 12 o'clock was perfect, then 6 would be too. then same with 9 and 3. 8. i then put all nuts and bolts back on, but only loose to start with. Then tighten them up doing opposite sides at a time and working round the rim. same as you would do wheels nuts. this ensures all are tightend and the wheel face sits flat on the rim. Whilst doing this i tidied up the face, sanded, and repainted. Wheels were black and pitted before, but now nice and shiny silver. Bit of a time consuming job, but it does give you knowledge how 3 piece slit rims are made and why alot of places wont touch them. The rims are not perfect but when money is better i will remove them again, get them sand blasted and power coated. Hope this helps Stu
  15. Andy you are what makes this place great. You can dish it out and have no probs back at you. Good man. lol
  16. Good on you mate, nice to see guys helping each other out. lol
  17. Wow the difference between stock and the ARC ones is vast. They are HUGE....................
  18. Thats why i dont tow. I bought my zed back from france after i killed the engine, the zed on a trailer, upto about 55mph no probs, as you go over that, it started to fishtail. Scared the crap out of me, made my van really hard to control. Wont do it again...............
  19. Same thing with mine, i got this one http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=137077&highlight=starter+motor Very quick delivery and worked perfect. Before you buy, just check that the bolts haven't come loose, as they do, but will cause the gear teeth not to engage.
  20. Yep the motors are there, turn you wheels to the left and undo the arch liner, if there is noise when pressing the rear wash button, either blocked at botttle or on tailgate. if no noise, then maybe loose connection or knackerd motor.
  21. ive got a full stainless japspeed, decat and downpipes on mine. sounds great and good bit of kit. Opens up the horses. Had a mongoose system before, again great. but i wanted to up the sound. Not to hard to fit unless you have a uk spec, as the precat is a swine to get off.
  22. Nice and tidy mate, keep it as it is. Nice and standard, looks great.....Very tidy
  23. i still see lots around Sussex, post them up, only had a few replys. nowhere near as many ive seen. Either they are totally faultless and never require any work on, or there is a hidden secret zed garage in Sussex that i dont know about. I know of 6 zeds within a 10 miles radius to me, ive put cards of the club on the windows, but only 1 joined thats Atlast
  24. Good on you mate, another one back on the road.
  25. Nice and tidy UK zed mate. welcome, is it manual or auto? cant quite see the reg looks like an M reg
