good man, you know it makes sense, get her fixed up and take her out... too many guys just giving up. Im in the same position, just trying to get the cash together to finish mine off. ive replaced all the sills and done loads of work, changed the look totally, just need to get time to the welders and done properly so it dosent have to be done again for the next 10 years. Hopefully within the next month, if the other half lets me have my way.

check the water pipes going through the bulkhead to the heater matrix, usual culprit. When engine is hot it will come out as steam, but due to heat of engine will be hard to spot.

my girlfriend ordered all these for valentines for me. complete leather with red stitch, gear, handbrake, arm rest and door armrets from top gaitors on ebay. look pretty decent stuff and good leather. cant do pics as yet, will do when fitted, off out now for a nice meal. anyone else got them.

one extra point of caution. when removing the balance bar, there are rubber O rings that need to be kept in situ, be careful not to damage when removing the balance bar. if you do, then it will cause boost leak.

Your guess is as good as mine?, ive lost a total of 2 x 10mm spanners and a 14mm socket in the engine bay, i can see the socket stuck on top of the exhaust manifold near turbo pipe, but cant get it at, god knows where the spanners are... In answer to your thread, does it only make this noise when driving, as could be something above gearbox, loads of places for stuff to go missing.
