  1. good to see you have a date now mate, where in england are you being based?
  2. Thanks mate, i would rather try and save another zed, too many being binned due to rust. Mine isnt bad as i think ive caught it earlier enough, but will be nice to know she will last a few more years.
  3. My zed has gone through a total makeover, since sorning it in March, I removed bits that i just wasnt happy wit. The skirt were the main problem, as they were hiding all manner of issues, lots of rot. after removing all the crud it was apparent the skirts had caused most of it. So any free time i could get, i would do a bit more, to make it all good. Making new panels from the inside out. Next was the high level wings west spoiler, once i got if off and repaired the back end, it has a brand new fibreglass OEM spoiler and brake light. Then the rear arches were a concern, slight bubbling on the drivers side, removed all the dead metal, and repaired. The passengers is too far gone, but i have a replacement arch to sort it. Not much issues underneath, but a couple of holes that need sorting. The time has now come for my welder to get involved. I have the cash waiting, but as soon as we get a dry day, he will be doing the lot, welding up the new sills and returns, arches and the floor. He is very good at what he does, but because of this he is dam hard to get a free day I have been doing loads to the engine, and its 100% spot on. Once the welding is done it will go for MOT, then we are back in business. just to give an idea of where i am.
  4. I have a jap TT and a Uk TT, the targas do fit each other, but the targa blinds are smaller on a UK due to the fact they have a large rubber bit on the underneath of the glass.

  6. Sorry have to agree with stella, good install, but wouldnt want to see the outcome if involved in a crash. I would want to see them at least strapped down aswell. They would zoom straight through the front window at a crash anything over 40mph. Trust me i have seen it happen, and the results are not nice.

  15. Ive looked at the usual fuse, but not listed, unless it is connected to something else like defogger or ciggie lighter. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=66739 remove the switch and inspect sounds like it may have a loose wire.

  17. Nice chatting mate, sorry didnt think about the water pump. hope you ride isnt too long...
  18. jeff, with that amount of oil over the belt, surely it would cause it to slip, maybe jump some teeth??
  19. with the alternator belt gone, all it does is charge the battery while your driving, and lights etc.. turn off anything you dont need. stereo interior fan etc. if the battery is is good order, should be enough to turn to fire it. get it home and the battery will drain with the lights but it might be enough to get you back to base.
  20. Well ive got a late spec UK black TT manual M reg 94 original, plus Sonicoo6 (barry) has identical car to mine, but is only 150 different on the vin number late 93 on a K. Would be nice if there only made 252 UK manuals.
