Santa Pod predictions
Apart from predicting rain  , If I do manage to get there I'll go for beating my last time (it's colder and my launches are getting better) so I'll say 13.6 @ 105. Now watch me get a 14.5 or something :slap:

Ford Sport Nationals
I was invited along by some mates of mine, so I am heading off to this for the weekend (Shakespere County raceway). Aim is to try to show up some more Cossies and beat the XR2 turbo that one of them has created with my assistance. ;) If anyone on here happens to be going, pop and say hello if you see me. Looking foward to trying to better my times from the Pod - hopefully Avon has more grip & temperature will definately be lower. Just hope none of them get annoyed by a jap car running :xxx:

Fuel tank fitting
New tank is on the way - have just booked it in to be done at a local garage(need the car for the weekend and don't have any spare time to try myself). It's going to cost a fortune to fit due to the time involved apparently - has anyone here replaced one before and if so how long does it take on average? I'd assumed it was just a matter of unbolting the straps and filler neck, disconecting the pump and dropping it down, but they have 4 hours quoted on their system. Cheers.

Safc
Thanks, - will probably get them to fit it for me as well so it will be a hefty bill but hopefully piece of mind and a noticable performance increase.

I would like to squeeze a bit more boost out if the gains are worth it (from 15 to maybe 16 ish psi) which is why I though about an FPR. Have a JWT so there are no timing changes to my car, only an adjustment over the fuel map. Really though I want the fuel set-up correctly and a decent session on the dyno. SkylineDave - how long did you have on the Dynapack at Thor to set it up?

Dilemma
I think with the advice and traders we have on here, especially the second hand parts guys, the Zed is not that expensive to maintain. I have chosen to limit mine to weekends etc instead of a daily driver, but that's due to the fuel consumption and insurance deal more than anything else. Not driven a Soarer but would guess that power delivery is similar but the 300 is more overtly sporting than the more comfort oriented Toyota. Go drive one and find out!

As I'm getting an SAFC soon, do I need an Adjustable FPR like this?http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CP&Product_Code=22670-RR710US And to go with it I also see that this http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=22675-00001&Category_Code= is linked on courtesy website. I was hoping to get Thor to set the controller up for me but want to be sure I have all the bits to make the most of it. Injectors are standard, not ready to go up to 550cc just yet so want to maximise the potential from the standard ones and make sure I am not risking anything in terms of det.

Fuel Tank hole
Cheers, not seen that before. Could do with a review or something to see if it works though.

Fuel Tank hole
My fuel tank has corroded near to the strap on the drivers side. What are my options in terms of repair / replacement? I've heard of chemical bonding reapir stuff but not sure of it's success rate + if one bit is corroded surely another bit will follow soon? How much is a new tank?

Im off to Florida next month...............
I've just got back from the Virgin Islands / Antigua - must admit was a bit worried as we watched Ivan approach but it missed us by about 300 miles I think. Did see another swell mentioned on the weather channel out there though, something to do with the pressure system of the coast of Africa so I think there might be another 1 or 2 hurricanes in the area yet. Sent our plane to rescue people from Cuba though so we were delayed for 20 hours in the Royal Antigua hotel - 30 degree heat, fantastic beach and free meals, it was terrible ;)

Nice Zed - saw you on the way down to USC didn't I? Slowed for a wave then shot off down the M1. Really like the rear lights.

I Hate F**king Police
Sounds like a right prick mate, get his number and complain anyway, at worst he will still have to do some paperwork.

Cossie challenge
Yeah, was a Pod virgin on the Saturday, to be honest it was such a rush to begin with, then I got all moody after not doing as well as I'd hoped. Overall though it's great fun no matter how you do. I have standard alloys at the mo yes, but again didn't want to mess with the pressures too much. Have a look at my time in the USC sticky in events mate.

Cossie challenge
Mark yeah I've been reading that, but nailing the start is more difficult than it sounds mate believe me. It's one of those things that takes practise, my time obviously improved on the Sunday as I got a 14.1, 13.9 and 13.7. My car is a road car at the end of the day and I can't be arsed to change wheels and all that. Plus I believe the Pod is notoriously slippery, it seemed that way to me anyway. As JD said it was f ing hot i saw 33 and 34 degrees and I am sure I was at least 30bhp down, probably more. As soon as the cool air and slight rain hit the i/c's on the way home the car flew and you could feel the difference in shove that those few extra psi make. I would hope that my car makes about 350-360 on a good day.

I have the two races on AVI video, not that great quality but I can e-mail them from work if anyone wants to host them for me?

Cossie challenge
Well my starts need work I'll admit, but the worst thing is my clutch needs adjusting so engaging gears quickly is difficult as well. Should be at 15 ish psi, but was hitting the warning all the time and dropping to 12 ish on all the runs, not sure if it was the heat or Profec B settings (the latter I think as on the way home a bit of tinkering saw me back to 15.4 very stable all the way through 4th. I will improve with practise no doubt about it, maybe to low 13's but dropping below that may be elusive without further mods.
