Nearly bought a Celica the other day!!!
Yes, I am aware of their rust problems, which is the main reason why the gen4 is getting increasingly rare. But if you can get hold of a good one and look after it I am convinced it will become a classic in the future and be worth a lot of money!

Now I know why I love my Zed
But it was really nice of you to pose in my second photo, Sarah, it really gave ME a buzz lol    (Sorry to spoil the tone of this thread.......but it is mine) :hyper: And yes Jez...I did have the targa's off AND was wearing my ZClub baseball hat (which makes me feel great but look ridiculous) AND my dark glasses. Hope you're enjoying my old Zed as much as I am enjoying my new one. Cheers - Dave

Nearly bought a Celica the other day!!!
I thought I'd post up a few pictures of my last Gen4, just to whet your appetites :hyper: I even bought a personalised registration for it (my initials are 'DJK'). Sorry, pictures are too big to download and I don't know how to make them smaller!!!!!

Now I know why I love my Zed
I took my Zed for a spin today, it hasn't happened very often lately due to recent weather. I decided to nip down to Poole, which is one of my favourite watering places, and took the route over the downs to Marlborough then to Salisbury via the A345. I set off about 1pm and it was a super drive with very little traffic and I arrived at Poole about 3pm. There was a splendid Schooner tied up alongside the wharf front and I took a few piccy's. I then took a gentle stroll round the town, came back and had an excellent large mixed grill on the wharf front, then drove round past the marina and spent an hour watching the wind surfers whilst listening to my MP3, and then drove home. The drive home had even less traffic than the drive down And I thoroughly enjoyed a fast (for me!) drive along the swervy, bendy A345 and across the downs to home, arriving there about 9.30pm. I spent most of the day smiling and know that I have my Zed to thank for this, it really is the most enjoyable car I have owned in 50 years of driving.

Hi Ste - Try 'interparcel.com' - I used them a couple of weeks ago and they were less than half of other quotes I obtained. (Only for large parcels though) Cheers - Dave

Nearly bought a Celica the other day!!!
Saw this on ebay and was very tempted:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=001&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=110144999728&rd=1&rd=1 I've always loved the Gen4 version of the Celica, after all I have owned three of them before. After I bought my first one I was really impressed with it, even though it was not a GT4 or a turbo, but I was seduced by the Gen5 with it's smooth curves but soon discovered it was a load of c**p handling like a saloon car compared with the Gen4's very sporty handling. I soon went back to another Gen4 with some relief. I have to say I am not at all keen on ANY of the later Gen's especially the latest one. I saw this one whilst doodling in eBay and, as I said, was very tempted even though I would not have got rid of my Zed (which is still my favourite car). I also have a family car, a Mondoe diesel estate, and could not really justify a third car BUT, I WAS tempted..............what do you think of Celica's (not the Supra) and which of them is your favourite Generation and why?

Maccy D's
We've got several McD's in Swindon and I've always had full bags of fries from all of them. It's sad to read comments from those who say they don't like 'fast food', I find them good value and good tasting. McDonald's, Burger King, Tenessee Chicken, Chish and Fips, Indian takeaways..ESPECIALLY Indian Takeaways..mmmmmmmmmmm.

Full English
Sounds like a really good deal (pity you had to see the ex lol) Asda do a 'cheapy' for £1.50:- 1 x Fried egg (or scrambled) 1 x sausage 1 x Bacon rasher 1 x Hash brown Beans (or tomato, fresh or plum) I also ask for a slice of toast and, as yet, have never been charged extra for it! BUT.......my ideal breakfast would be:- Kelloggs corn flakes with sugar and full cream milk Freshly squeezed orange juice 2 x Toast with butter and marmalade A large mug of white coffee (kept topped up) 1 x Pork sausage (well cooked) 2 x Back bacon rashers (non-smoked) 2 x Large fried eggs (sunny side up) 2 x Hash browns Half fried tomato Heinz baked beans Black pudding Fried small mushrooms 1 x Fried bread 2 x bread and butter Gosh....I'm dribbling all over the keyboard. :hyper:

Hi Dan - Apologies are simply not necessary, I am just grateful that your posts were courteous and helpful. I look forward to buying from you sometime. Cheers - Dave

Thankyou for your tolerance, Dan. Cheers - Dave

What's an induction kit.
I understand what you're saying but the £48 INCLUDES the adaptor AND delivery. Provided the filter is a good one I can't see the point of spending another £21! I can buy other things with that money (as I am doing at the moment from the large number of people currently breaking their Zed's on this site). Thanks for your input and opinion though  Cheers - Dave

Or what about this from the US which includes ally pipes? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=016&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=260134982902&rd=1&rd=1 Glad of your opinions.

I've seen one on ebay that looks as if it's an air filter  and it looks quite 'blingy' but can I use one on my '95 N/A? Cheers - Dave

Any budding Beekeepers in the club?
I know this post is a bit late but, have you contacted your council? They removed two wasp nests from my house/loft a few years ago and it cost me nothing. It might be worth at least giving them a call. Cheers - Dave
