Three faults - 2. Air conditioning
Thanks for the info but my Zed is using R134A.

Three faults - 3. Mileometer/odometer
Yes I took all the needles off as I planned to replace the dials but the new ones wouldn't fit. I refitted all the needles and the other gauges work OK but not the temperature gauge!

Three faults - 1. Water temp. Guage
Series 4 clocks cannot be replaced by earlier series clocks, the connections are totally different and they are also physically very different.

Three faults - 2. Air conditioning
Thanks for the advice, I'll take it back to Kwik-Fit and ask them to try your suggestion.

Three faults - 3. Mileometer/odometer
Where is the speed sensor....is there any way of checking if it's working without removing it?

Three faults - 3. Mileometer/odometer
I bought an American clock cluster but they're not series 4 so are no good for me!

Three faults - 2. Air conditioning
I can't remember what it's called but my Series 4 Zed has labels saying it uses the new gas, so I don't think that's the problem. Thanks anyway stellaz.

Three faults - 3. Mileometer/odometer
I am in the process of selling my Zed but three faults are making this difficult. The third of these is with the MILEOMETER/ODOMETER. They were both working OK when I bought the car three years ago but about 18 months ago they both stopped working for no apparent reason. I had a look at them when I removed the clock cluster a year or so ago but could see no obvious reason why they had stopped working. CAN ANYONE ADVISE WHAT THE CAUSE/REMEDY FOR THIS PROBLEM MIGHT BE? Regards - Dave

Three faults - 2. Air conditioning
I am in the process of selling my Zed but three faults are making this difficult. The second of these is with the AIR CONDITIONING. The air conditioning had never worked since I bought the Zed, so about 18 months ago I got Kwik-Fit to re-gas the system. All seemed OK, their equipment showed ‘no leakage’ and the air cooled perfectly.........for about a month! It then gradually became less effective so I took it back to Kwik-Fit under their guarantee and they retested and regassed the system, again stating there were ‘no leaks’. All was fine again for a few weeks then the cooling gradually became less effective again. I took it back to Kwik-Fit who said that, as their equipment showed ‘no leakage’ the problem must be with a faulty connector on my Zed. HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM OR COULD ADVISE ME HOW IT CAN BE REMEDIED? Regards - Dave

Three faults - 1. Water temp. Guage
I am in the process of selling my Zed but three faults are making this difficult. The first of these is with the WATER TEMPERATURE GUAGE. A year or so ago I removed the clock cluster to fit some different clock faces and also to examine the fuel gauge which was not working. I removed the cables from the cluster and cleaned the connectors, also removing the needles ready to replace the clock faces. Unfortunately the clock faces would not fit so I replaced the needles and refitted the cluster. Happily the fuel gauge now worked OK but when the engine was running the water temperature gauge slowly crept up to maximum. I have driven the Zed a thousand miles or so since then in all sorts of conditions, including queuing for 40 minutes to get into JapFest a couple of weeks ago, and there has never been any sign of distress from the engine but the temperature gauge will always rise to maximum. It worked perfectly OK before I removed the cluster, the needle always rising to halfway between the min/max position. CAN ANYONE ADVISE WHAT THE CAUSE/REMEDY FOR THIS PROBLEM MIGHT BE? Regards - Dave

Japfest 2009
That doesn't sound very practical!!! I'll wait until Marco comes on line and hope he has a practical solution. He might even have a spare discount entry ticket if I'm lucky:o Hopefully - Dave

Japfest 2009
I'm not sure what that means! I want to park on the 300zx club stand, not park in the public car park and walk over to the stand. What do you suggest?
-
Japfest 2009
Fine Lisa, you've got first shout unless I have to use them to deal for a pass. Anyone got a pass they could leave at the gate for me?

Japfest 2009
Bloody hell!!! I thought I'd missed Japfest this year!!! Serves me right for not using the site regularly.:headvswal I know it's late but any chance of a stand pass? If so can I collect at the show? I could bring two decent front wheels with poor tyres, available FREE for anyone who wants them..........if I can get in. Also would give me an opportunity to show off and advertise my Zed which I am trying to sell. Please let me know.

Tested fuse....OK....tested power coming through cable....OK Fortunately I still have my old sky box (not plus though) so connected it in place of the failed one and we can now at least watch tele, but no recording facilities etc. Can anyone please help with what could be the fault on the 'plus' box? Driving Licence Expires???
Who says the photo licence is mandatory? I've only got my paper licence which doesn't expire until next May when I am seventy. I suppose I will have to get a photo licence then....but how much will it cost me? Will I also have to have a doctor's letter or something to allow me to renew?
