side repeater removal
Had an idea that im going to remove my side repeaters for a smoother look like some of the us zeds you see. The car is a black swb. i have already smoothed the tailgate and the antena hole, all stone chip will be removed no rear wiper etc. i have a 99 spec front to go on as well will i get away without them for the mot as i think the 99 spec indicators are visible from the side. if not i may integrate some new style audi wing mirror indicators into the std mirrors ( they are a thin strip like on the r8) i was also considering integrating the indicators into the main light cluster and smoothing the 99 spec to remove both the indicator and the fogs. Any thoughts any more ideas for the clean smooth look - im not going to remove the swage line

Shocks and Springs - Best prices.
Hi mate i just had a look at mjp who seems to be the best on prices round here The last time he qouted for a set of rear shocks he wanted £130 inc postage does £80 posted sound reasonable (they will cost me about £10 to post) as i said they are new but they have been fitted to my car which im restoring. i have a set of coilovers now so i wont need them. Let me know and we can go from there Pete

spacer question.........
im going to be fitting 9" front and 10" rear et 35 on the front and 42 on the rear. im just repainting the car so rolling would be better now than later. im looking for a nice flush fitment and will run a 225 on the front and a 255 on the rear as i would like a bit of strech. think i should be ok might even get a 10mm spacer on the front not that it matters but the wheels are 17" enkei rp01s

b posts
well ill be using a pure black. im sure most will not tell from a distance as the metallic in the black is quite fine but i feel inclined to agree with si particually as the rear windows and screen are tinted black. Bit of a pain though to be spraying the extra colour but i want it to be right. on a similar subject should the wing mirror bases be gloss black or the dark metallic gray/gunmetal colour as the scuttle/outside trim? Thanks guys

b posts
what colour should the b post\ window frame be on a metallic black zed. im repainting and they were / are the same as body colour but the car has been resprayed before. most zeds are pure black here anyone help?

rear screen trim
Im going to be welding up and respraying the rear hatch. Id like to replace the glass trim at the same time and ill use a universal trim. Question is do i have to remove the glass and if so how do i do it without smashing it. its a swb so replacement glass will be a pain to get hold off. i think i will get a much better respray result with the glass out as i hate that nasty look of not bothering to remove trim when spraying. Anyone help?

Bad repairs
i know the feeling i dicovered a bent chassis rail on my car at xmas. dont know if you remember the conversation jeff but thanks for the advise. I found a good swb shell for a good price so im now rebuilding that. How people can live with themselves selling/repairing a car like that is beyond me.
