  5. power steering leak is usually either the big hose going to thebottom of the pas pot or the high presure line from the pump to the rack (infront of cross member) to bypass a mph converter you just need to remove the exixting converter and rejoin the old wire, its only 1 wire, yellow i think
  6. you should come visit ludlow, i think we are full now though over new year
  7. im thinking of doing this too, us zeds dont have them
  8. did series 4s have a boost gauge, did they do a uk series 4. this may be the issue, i could be wrong though
  9. i have a 200sx which i am putting a lexux v8 in, quite common with 200sx's the lexus v8 would drop in the z32 no problem and its something i have been thinking of doing one my restoration is done.
  10. ah i see, i have the same wheels you see, mine are 9 at the front and 10 at the back though, just managing to squeeze a 345mm disc into mine so you must have some monster brakes
  11. i would say an 18 looks spot on for a lwb, a swb can carry off a 17. anything over an 18" will be a bit of a compromise in terms of performance and ride comfort imho
  12. thanks mate, funds recived. just given them a quick clean up, they will be in the post tomorrow
  13. as ck says, if you send to my paypal account, just copy and paste my address into your account under send funds and it will send me your address etc. if you do want them mate then i can get them in the post tomorrow. Pete

  15. i went out a bit today, my daily drive is a bora 4 motion, with the traction control turned off its a real good laugh, 4 wheel drifting is good fun with 4wd:thumbup1:
  16. i have fitted one to my bay and i was wondering if it would effect the closed line so i might fit another, ive go no battery in the front so should be easy except i have welded up all the holes in the engine bay. doh ps silverbullet, are those enkei rpo1s on your motor, how come you got rid
  17. not so funny when you are being driven in china, i have never been so scared:scooter:
  18. good luck mate bit of advise. take lots of pics
  19. i used to get around 25mpg from my tt auto and that was overfueling. i wold expect around 30 on a run. have you had a compression check, what is your ignition timing set to. was the thermostat changed with a genuine item, could your brakes be binding a little. just some food for thought
  20. well ive not done much outside on the car recently for obvious reasons, but i have done a few bits. no pics sorry so ill just do a quick update and some more pics in the week bought some of carmads new swb skirts. ive had a quick offer up but not really tried to fit them, sorry for the delay mate but ill get a few pics up ive also done a few more bits of interior including a new centre console cover, handbrake and gear leaver gaiter. just started my big brake conversion today as well, picked up a brand new set of brembo 4 pots on sunday and im going to be fitting some 345mm discs so should be sweet, ill make a prototype bracket tomorrow to see if they squeeze under my 17's but initial offering up looks positive, ive got access to a few set of these calipers so if anyone is interested i could be persuaded to make up a few sets if anyone is interested (as long as this is allowed by club rules) the discs are only card cutouts at the moment but they look amazing filling the whole wheel out. i dont think i could fit any bigger inside my wheels though. ive got next week off work so i hope to get some real progress. the plan is to have the car back on its wheels at the front and have the front end just about done so i can turn the car around and do some bodywork to the back and passenger side.
  21. they may fit but im sure the damping and perhaps the spring rates wont be ideal
  22. your picture archive may be of some use to me daz, ive got a lot of zed to put back together
  23. look good mate, im just doing the same on mine, but with a few changes to the internals. same as you 99 spec front and fog light ducts
  24. we have an a3 1.8t and i have a bora 2.8 the bora is a far nicer drive, the golf will be better on petrol and may be faster on paper but the v5 engine aint far off the v6 in mine (170bhp vs 201) and in the real word the extra torque makes for a more relaxed drive and quicker in the real world you will always get more for your money with the bora
