angel eyes
chears mate, the rings ive got are indeed 70mm dia and fit perfectly inside the shoud thing, just looks a bit like a pcb with smleds on. the projectors were just a bit of an idea dont think i will try till the car is built

angel eyes
just bought a pair of 70mm smleds as im going 99 spec and dont want fog/side lights they are a little on the ugly side though and having second thoughts. i know some will think they are naff but i thing they will be good if evecuted well i was thinking i will either make my own from some clear rod or perhaps just put some clear rod infront of the ring (bent into a ring of course.) also do i need resistors or as i suspect are they built in. i need these to look spot on as my car is all about the detail. on a side note has anyone ever thought about using projectors for the main beams and can you get main beam hid kits?

Engines in Zeds...
i actually quite like the idea of a diesel 300. fitting a bmw oil burner would be cool as you would have a great looking rwd that you could afford to drive all the time. less cool would be the performace that people would expect

Carmad 89 or 99 spec????
totally agree, the swb has a nice pert bottom that flows into the talegate that just gets covered up with a spoiler, my swb will remain spoilerless, however the lwb just doesent look right without one. i like the 99 spec but i understand about the width. i like the 89 spec on a nice std looking car but not so much with an updated style, it just ages the car too much anyone tried one from an s14, its a bit like the 99. i have one at my parents house

update on my swb restoration
ive done most of the retrim so ill try and get some pics, also done one of the factory fit recaros. once the engine bay and front suspension is done (not putting the engine in yet) i will turn the car round and finish off the bodywork on the passanger side and finish off the underside of the car. then paint the remaining panels, refit the interior, doors, tagas etc. last will be a rear subframe refurb then fit the engine(still a bit of work to be done here) ill get some pics tonight
