fitting engine
Hey guys its been a long time coming but im hoping to get the engine in this weekend, not really a problem however.. when i pulled the engine, im sure i seperated the engine from the box and pulled them seperatly. ive been thinking about it and obviously its nicer if i can fix the box up to the engine and bolt it all up nice without bashing too many knuckles etc and swearing at the clutch spline with 70kg of box on my chest so three options box and engine seperate box and engine in through the top box and engine bolted to front subframe on trolly then drop shell over as per factory anyone got any real world experience, ive pulled two engines but never put one in. ive had lots of experience with other cars and have used all of the above methods ps ive done a lot of work on the engine bay so keeping it scratch free is essential. oh and its a tt your thoughts

update on my swb restoration
thanks for the praise guys hope more updates over weekend what are the thoughts on the wheels, wanted something a little more inkeeping with the cars age so gone for a classic 3 spoke with no dish. ive always loved the Ferrari 355 and love how the swb has very similar styling so went for similar. the wheels are kahn rsr's in 18 x 8.5 front and 9.5 rear with a 235/40 et 35 and 275/35 et 45. might want some spacers, guessing 15 or 20 on front and a 10 on the rear, I don't want any arch rolling or scrubbing but want a nice stance

Genuine Nissan JDM Grille
i take it you mean the mesh grill for the 99 spec bumper ive wanted one too, but not at that price. i guess most either leave it off or use mesh to make their own i think like most bits its just expensive, wouldnt be hard to make and as long as you have good quality mesh it would look good to.

steering columb/ignition switch
wonder if people could shed some light on this im just putting my swb back together, the car is originally a tt manual and im refitting the steering columb i also have a spare steering columb which is in slightly better condition and most importantly has the ignition key matched to my lock set including the titanium key. this came from my previous car which i broke which was a lwb tt auto all is fine except there are two extra electrical connectors on the ignition barrel. both have the illumination ring the auto one has an aditional connector half way down (which i belive is the key sensor) the other i am guessing is a lock of some sort relating to the auto the question is, do either of these need connecting. i think that i may be able to remove the auto lock thing as its screwed in and im guessing the other is just a sensor so will be ok anyone any experience of this? other option is to take the key barrel from the auto columb and add it to my original so my locks match
