  1. thanks guys the last time i was in contact with him was april last year, the matter must have been going back a year before that. ill send an email with all the details . ill have to get back on with the updates, ive not done much due to life getting in the way but im back on it again. hope to speak to you guys on here again soon
  2. Hey guys been a while since ive been on here but just getting back into the zed. first things first does anyone still have contact with zxtt (craig) he still owes me for some bits thanks in advance
  3. mine has a vauxhall redtop with a gt28rs
  4. ive got a seven type thing ive been building for years. all up weight will be less than 500kg and power will be over 300bhp. that quick enough
  5. nice one mate, that pas pot relocation looks familiar:tt2: keep up the good work
  6. no problem mate, email on the way
  7. Happy birthday Jeff, my birthday too today so all the best
  8. the std balance pipe will work to some degree. one of the main problems of a std type fmic with a zed is that you loose the self balancing design that the oem setup has. ie the lh turbo provides boost to the rh bank, so if the rh turbo produces more boost then the lh bank will receive more boost causing the lh turbo to produce more boost etc. as a traditional type of fmic will cross the air flow back again the rh tub will boost the rh bank, hence the need for a decent size balance bar. i would have thought 1" would be sufficient. you dont want uneven boost across the banks
  9. thanks for the responses guys im not looking to replace my zed and to be honest im not going to really compare the two. the mrs doesnt really like the 300 but has wanted a 350 for ages and she is not too concerned with the performance, however the good handling and decent traction control are important. going to look at one tomorrow, its a blue 04 gt pack car with rays on it. looks very nice but has quite high miles (100k). i think its a bit over priced considering the mileage at 6.5k but its a buyers market for this sort of car at the moment so if hes not prepared to budge (assuming she likes it) then there are plenty more out there
  10. nice car, not sure if she would go for that colour but seems a good price and the rims are sweet.
  11. Thinking of replacing our current main car Audi a3 1.8t with a 350z, anyone got any experience with them. looking to spend up to around 7k as far as i can tell there is only the gt pack as an option and later cars had a bit more power. the rays wheels are a must for me
  12. variable cam timing isnt quite the same as v tech, the v tech has basically 2 different cam profiles so at switch over you get a different profile so you get different lift, duration and timing/overlap. so you get the best of both worlds ideally, a smooth low down grunt profile and a screaming race cam. most other systems just vary the overlap the nsx used a v6 v tech
  13. that will be a specific flywheel for that clutch mate
  14. here is a pic of where it is. i reused the bracket that was on the inner wing. there should be just enough room under there and its above the level of the pump so all should be fine. here is the link to my build thread if you are interested http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=143092
  15. might be able to help out on the pas pot placement. mine is under the nose panel. ill try to find some pics
  16. hi mate, they went with night freight this morning so they should be with you tomorrow. cant give you a specific time though. i can try to get a tracking number first thing tomorrow if that helps
  17. same its true on my godspeed boots, no mileage on them either
  18. no offense meant by this to anyone selling/owning the japspeed arms, they seem to be a decent budget arm but not in the same league or price bracket as some. i like the challenge of making the best bits where i can im really liking the spl ones, infact ive just ordered up some materials to make some similar items with a few changes. should look smart
  19. should look good mate, coilovers are all cleaned up and packed by the way, courier is collecting tomorrow, should be with you wednesday.
  20. ok guys, ive got a set of godspeed tension rods and to be honest im sure they do the job. however today i was going to start cleaning them up and thought i could do better than that so im going to. so the question is, money no object what are the best tension rods out there. so far the winner is moonface. any other suggestions? once ive found what i like and added a bit of my own design in ill make a set. might do a few other suspension bits too
  21. no problems mate, let me know if you want the seats, ive got a set of std rear lights too
  22. more than welcome to pop down any evening or even tomorrow mate, ill earn some brownie points for clearing out some room
