Am i being over the top here guys,my ten year old daughter and six year old son were amazed today to see the contents of their lunchbox photographed and displayed to the class.It turns out its healthy eating week and without parental consent the "healthy eating" lady has gone into my kids lunchboxes and opened the sandwiches to reveal the contents so she could take photographs.They were used as good examples but its not the point imho.myself or my missus never said the school could do that.what gives them the rights.It really pisses me off the cheeky coonts,how dare they!! Get it up on axle stands on the chassis legs about a 40 - 50cm will do it.the gearbox will dangle and slide through the hole ok with the front crossmember undone and hanging :yes:.

Those joiners on the pipes bud,are they flared,they look like nut and olives.If they are olive type joiners they should fail.Paul will be able to confirm this.

No worries,what do i know,carry on its your money,obviously your loaded and £38 means nothing and you prefer the diagnosis by repacement method then good luck to you,however talking from experience its not usually at fault.Do you actually know how and why the series one ptu fails without googling it?

My engines are all silver but that doesnt prove anything really tbh.I do supply pics of the engine in various stages and car having it removed to give owners a good record.look at details of what work was done and what was used to see if list is credible and of course who did it Lol.

Series one ptu failure is not as common as is made out,ive come across loads of cars still running a series one with no probs,mines 6 years old that i know,could be the same age as the car possibly.Its more than lightly an injector plug has gone green or a coilpack plug making a bad connection.It may just be a dirty connection at the ptu that when disturbed to replace it seems to have cured it,expensive repair for what could have been fixed with some time and patience using sandpaper.
