We've set up and we've gone all red this year......! Big thanks to Ian, Jay and Tom for exhibiting their cars - and a bigger thanks again to Ian for providing all the display equipment to ensure our stand looks great! Hope to see some of you there over the weekend......

A couple of niggles I'm keen to resolve but I'm not sure how...hoping to crowdsource some direction! My fuel door has become temperamental in opening. Is there some cable adjustment I can make to correct this? I can't see anything visibly wrong but it doesn't open every time and needs some (a lot) of encouraging. I have a vibration through the steering wheel 90mph+ that remains once it's there. I did have some vibration through the seat but I've rebalanced my prop which seems to have resolved that part of the vibration. I've had wheels balanced and aligned, no spacers on the front anymore and new calipers, discs and pads fitted. The. vibrations have been there s…

Hi, I have a 300zx N/A auto 1991. I bought the car as a non runner from auction years ago. I've managed to get the engine to crank over but it will not start. Fuel and power is getting to the engine. I've change sparks and coils. I've also disconnected all fuel lines and wiring loom connected to the intake manifold so I could change the fuel injectors. I just haven't had time to finish the job. Does anyone know a mobile mechanic who works on theses cars. Every one that I've called said they will not touch the car. Or if there is somewhere to take the car. I'm in north London

I took my Zed on another little trip to the Isle of Wight a couple of weeks ago, which just happened to coincide with the IoW classic car show. Whilst I didn't participate, I did visit the show on Sunday 8th and met up with Groover that afternoon... Suffice to say, there were a few exhibitors staying on for a few days after the show, so there were one or two classic cars milling around at various attractions that week. Like this rather nice Stag at Appuldurcombe House. Any excuse to share a couple of Zed pics LOL 😉

Hi all, I am looking for some door seal rubbers, for both sides (LWB and Targa top). The ones the door window rests on. The car is is the process of having a respray and I am keen to change the seals, I am hoping it may also help with the leaking Targa roofs. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

  16. Started by JaiKai,

I've not been working on my zed for a very long time, since the last engine failure to be more precise. Few months back i managed to get a lockup in my area which i originally planned to move all my zeds into and start working again stripping and building back up what i needed to get the purple zed back on the road. However this place wasn't exactly insured in any way and also wasn't the best place for security either so only the two breakers were moved in, then unfortunately time went on and i never had time to do much on them. The only thing i've managed to do on the breaker was lift one of the spare engines out, and that's now sitting o…

You probably have all been there as well, that point when you think you have done but notice the wing and door don't quite line up, then this happens . . . (PS shout out to Luke. Ordered Friday, arrived Tuesday and now attached to the rear sills from a few years back!)

  18. Was watching the budget cheesefest movie Joshua Tree from 1993, starring Dolph Lundgren and during the movie they are using a couple of unconvincing replica cars. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106309/ Closer look at the F40 replica and it seems to have 300ZX headlights on it 😄

  20. Hi all, just trying to resolve a blower problem i have. I have no aircon as i removed it. The interior blower was working fine when i gave it across to the workshop. One yr on and now its not working. The control modual is working as i can hear it. Just no fan. I found there was a 15 amp fuse removed in the footwell (not by me). I just replaced that and it blew on activation. Just wondering where the relays are. Has anyone experianced this? Cheers

  21. Started by RichardS,

I received my little Z1 order this week...... I bought a brand new PTU and harness - I had to instal my "spare" one back in Feb, so thought I'd best get a replacement.... Also thought it's time to get another oil pressure sender, the current one has started to behave intermittently.... I then ordered a new harness and gaiter to go with it. But I didn't stop there - I bought a new internal O-ring and gasket for the oil filter tree.... I thought, why not replace the lot at the next oil change? I also thought it was time to reinstate the Nissan badge, but they only had the replica - albeit attached the the Fairlady Z logo.... Shopping on Z1's…

Story. Had a few issues with the bodywork on the sills(jimmer spotted them the other yr) so had them done. Bodyshop nightmare. He moved shop etc and was really slow.......one yr later.......went in for MOT and failed on various things. They did the jobs and eventually i have the zed outside😀 The question im asking before i start ripping stuff out lol is my interior de mister is not working now. It was before. When activating the buttons on the bezzel i can here the activation of things but just no fan. I did have a fusebox translation in my car but the garage has decided to misplace it 😡. Thanks Johnnnno

We took the Zed on a little road trip to Shropshire at the weekend, after attending a couple of car shows, I thought it only fair that Julia and I visit the Shrewsbury Flower show! Despite the hot weather, the Zed performed faultlessly as usual - albeit we had a pigeon bounce of the front bumper whilst thundering along a nice empty M40... Luckily there was no damage - the pigeon disintegrated, leaving only a few blood spots and a shadow imprint... Which fortunately wiped away with some detailing spray 😉

  25. Afternoon All, After a few aborted attempts to get myself a Z in the UK, I have turned my attention to the Motherland! Have found a potential candidate, and wanted to throw it open for some comments (seeing as I have asked Jiimer twice about potential buys, and not followed through on either!) I'd be happy to hear comments and any advice about the whole Japan import process - am looking to use either Algys Autos out of Bristol (bargain basement) or Torque GT (premium, but have not had a price yet). The car is 1999 TT Auto with 63k KMs and full history. Price to the uk will be about 18k all in (before a mechanic get's his hands on it and tells me I've …
