it seems to me theres a lot of threads of late about clutch boosters. the reason for my thread is ive tried bleeding my clutch on my car and cant get any better than the bitten point right near the floor but im no mechanic but my question is maybe when i put the engine back in i might have put a pipe on wrong ? what is a clutch booster and could it affect it like mine?

I have two pairs of tubs one with M24 and the other with M27 on, is one manual and the other auto? The pipework I got with the M24's bolts straight onto the inlet and outlet of the compressor. The M27's have no bolt holes and looks like it needs couplers to attach the pipework. These are the tubs I will be using. Is there different pipework for different models? If so can I just replace the first section for each tub, will it meet up with the rest alright or do I need a full system?

Ok, really thinking about selling the Zed. So far i have had it out the garage about 6 times this year, Thinking i might get something that i dont mind getting rained on. So the general details of the car: 1992 300zx TT LWB 48K Miles Manual 18'' wheels with Avon ZZ3 ( approx 5-6mm tread ) red Samco hoses Scorpion quad Exhaust braided brake pipes Flip out dvd/cd screen ( cost £1000 brand new ) Bilstien B6 shocks ( less than 500 miles on them ) Grey tweed interior Japspeed Lockout bar Now the car will be going in for a full respray before being sold, the reason for this is i have started to prep it for paint. Great weather today and managed to do a little painting which I've been putting off for a while. First started cleaning them down then gave the hubs two coats of black and the callipers a few coats of the red stuff. Looking great now and a major difference along with the 19's.

Only me there as usual but thats not a problem for me. Its a friendly low key place with lots of like minded people having fun. The weather was good till late afternoon . I now have a line lock fitted to the car so I was able to warm up the Mickey Thompsons . Result was a 0.2 sec improvement over last month. Three sub 15 sec runs today with a best for the day of 14.83 at 94.35 mph. I was well pleased with that. On a later but slower run I nearly had a sub2sec 60ft time. 2.07sec.:taz: I still have a random small missfire/hesitation at full revs under WOT. Only occasional and lasts a couple of tenths of a sec only. I would like to chase that down before Santa…

What to do now?? Do I buy a new set of wheels or struggle to try and find a single replacement wheel.... Not that that's very likely been trying all weekend! If anyone has one let me know. What size wheels do u guys recommend? Currently running 18" but was thinking of going up to 19" any probs with this? Looks like there is plenty of room in the arches Oh and btw not a good idea to go drifting in the rain lol.... Suppose it had to happen one day ;)

Guys, After a year of searching for a clutch vacum booster I finally got hold of a used one, The symptoms of mine were that it wasn't holding a vacum at all, if you blew into the pipe you could hear the air rushing out! Now when the used one turned up first thing I did was blow in the pipe, to my surprise I could hear a very little bit of air leaking out? Also sucking on the pipe I would get a vacuum where I could get my tounge stuck on the pipe but only for a few seconds! Could anyone please tell me if this is normal for the booster or is it leaking and on the way out? Thanks

for those wising to clean terminal connectors, we all struggle trying to find something to clean the pins with, mainly using a small precision flat head screw driver, sand paper and what ever else has a good contact to rub the crap off the connectors, sometimes with varying results and some times with out paying attention can inadvertently make the connection worse by making the gap wider between the pins to stop it getting a decent contact. So if you want, here is the correct tool for the job. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Professional-Automotive-Electrical-Wire-Terminal-Connector-Cleaner-Restorer-USA-/280951350170?pt=Motors_Automotive_Tools&hash=item416a01639…

trying to sort out the mess that is my A pillar gauges tonight, thought id tidy up all the wiring and figure out why my water temp and oil temp are non working, anyway, found the ground to both the water and the oil temp where not connected properly as someone used those stupid blue clip things with the bit of metal in that is supposed to splice into the wire and make a bridge. Well anyway, first question, what is the Orange wire for on the back of Autogauges? as this doesnt seem to be connected to anything and all the ends are just taped up? Also is there a switched live on the Pods somewhere? or shall i just splice into the clock connector as my clock isn't e…
