Question for the detailers really. im looking to get myself a machine polisher so I can keep the motors bright.. After looking its pretty much a mine field. I want something that will run 1800rpm minimum and have velcro pads. I also dont want to spend a fortune, ie. the meguiars polisher is about £160.. £230 as a kit.. Any recommendations on polishers or links to a good starter kit would be greatly appreciated...

Had my car on Pistonheads and Ebay for just over a month, quite a lot of interest and many messages of great car, keep it. Decided because it may take a while to sell, I wouldnt tax or mot, keep it SORNd for now. If anyone is interested, they could view the car, if interested, I would MOT, TAX and Insure the car, so it could be take for a test drive. Received call last week, someone interested, explained the above, no problems. Dad and his son came to view, car was for dad, son races a RX7 car, so knows jap cars. Totally loved the car, amazed with the work, the receipts. Decided they wanted it. They said do not worry, we know someone with a transporter, so we w…

Hi guys, as nobody bit on my post about a dual LC-1 install I'll take what info I can get ;) I need a 12V (5A max) x 2 power supply to power up when the ignition is switched on to drive the heating elements in two LC-1 wideband sensors. Where would be the easiest to tap this from? Can be in the engine bay or (I guess) the loom behind the dash. Any problems likely from connecting both sensors to the same supply? TIA for an advice.. H

My car wouldnt start today just the clicking of starter motor, it did this on the last occasion last week but started up now it doesnt. Could it be the battery draining due to lack of use although the battery does look small for the size of car? Any help thanks

My Z has deteriorated overnight. To follow on from my previous thread - basically from the start of this week she's been driving like sometimes she's on 5 cylinders. Once the engine warms up, she misfires a little and holds back a bit when I accelerate from low revs. She boosts ok, although now sometimes she'll judder a bit as the revs go above 4k. Don't appear to be symptoms of wet MAF as I've had that loads of times before (revs just cut under boost). Anyways yesterday afternoon on the way back from work she started to buzz loudly whenever I took my foot off the throttle. The sound seemed to be coming from behind the dash, but I confirmed this morning that it's fro…

Hi! This is my first post on the forum... I picked up (what I *think* was a bargain) 1992 UK 300ZX twin turbo a couple of weeks ago, from reading some threads I believe pics are 'the law' so will put some up :) She's got a few mods, Japanese front bumper, 99 spec rear lights and aftermarket spoiler, Apexi air filter, larger exhaust and EPROM +70 bhp chip. There's a few rusty bits and the red paintwork is terribly faded on a few panels, but already had a quick go with t-cut (or rather Turtle Wax's 'safe cut'!) and it's coming back nicely already - will put some more pics up when she's all sorted! First, some pics of her now... Secondly... some q…

well i thought i was going to have my windscreen repaired tuesday, well polished to remove the wiper marks in the glass, but when the engineer turned up he also picked up loads of small stonechips in the glass, so reccomended i had a new screen fitted. so with that being done yesterday i can now actually see when the sun hits the screen, only one slight problem while fitting, the top trim sent out was different to the original not allowing it to clip in to the 2nd part on the bodt correctly so i had to have the 'universal trim' fitted instead, slightly wider than the stock one but looks ok on the car, but thank god for screen cover on the insurance the engineer told me re…
