Is there any way an auto box can be rebuild to be just as fast and responsive as a manual? Just wondering as i do like the auto box for relaxed driving during traffic etc, so just a question that came up was could you have best of both worlds?

today i plan to fit vilesile two side skirts and blend them in. out comes the resin and fiberglass

Howdy folks, Here's the thing, the local garage quoted something ridiculous for changing a single split steering rack gaitor, so I thought, how hard can it be, I'll do it myself. I'll cut to the chase; managed to get the old tie rods off, which were shot anyway, so replaced with new, but couldn't get that damn retaining nut to move on one side, which of course, just happened to be the side that failed the MOT. Ended up prising the rubber gaiter over it, which wasn't all that fun either. Anyway, just curious, since most peeps on here have far more experience doing this than I do, how would you free this stead fast nut? Anyway, what made it worse, is that I couldn…

Hi guys, this car is keeping me very busy. bought a dinitrol package from eBay the one for Subaru. Came with 4cans of stone chip 3cans of cavity wax can of rust stuff and can of clear wax. And a schutz gun have everything from under car stripped off subframe, fuel tank the lot so thought I'd spray it all lol, it's in my hair and everywhere so it had better be bloody worth it lol. sprayed rear arches, back end of car fuel tank, tunnel either side of tunnel and have one can left of stonechip hoping it will do front arches and any little bits left or may have to buy one more can. By the looks of thing my Zeds previous owners couldn't agree on whether to use blue or pink, so now I have a bit of rust and brown stuff in mine. Whats the best way to flush the whole lot out and start again? Would taking off the water pipe hoses be the best and easiest to get to, as I need to take these off anyway to fit some silicon hoses anyway?

Ok went to my car and gone to start it as its been stood for 2 week and all i get is a very rapid clicking noise from the starter motor, I have tried a charger pack to try and start it but to no luck. The battery I have is a 400amp it looks small for the tray so is this right or should i be looking at a bigger amp battery Thanks

Can I just disconnect this? I have no belt on my air con compressor, so can I just disconnect this solenoid so the idle doesn't change when it thinks the air con is on? Also, the plug on the solenoid it's self is busted, connections are still good, useable, I could replace it, but I wont if there is no need and I can just leave it unplugged... Cheers, Tudor.

well while the engines out il be deleting the air con, unfortunately it is still full of gas and the cars indoors engineless off the floor. whats the best way forward? pretty Poisonous stuff isnt it?

I spent last week or a good part of it weilding new sills into my uk tt and had to pull the carpet back as not to set the car alight, today fitting the carpet back properley i cant spell so anyway, i found yet another box of tricks only this one has some srt of setting like a small slit for a screw driver for setting up boost i think. cas that one hidden away and wired into the ecu yet the other one is more of an on and off hi/ lo controller sort of things is this a norm set up for hks set up. the plot thickens whos put what on this car as i dont know cas bought it of a trader.

I posted a thread about my engine not running on all cylinders. Running on 5 instead of all 6. Car runs great on 5 cylinders right now. What I fixed so far: New spark plugs New Coil Pack New PTU checked all the lines that run into PTU-ECU-Coil pack=no issues Still running on 5 instead of 6 cylinders. Any ideas on the next step?

My zed has been given to the garage at last to figure out my cold start running issue and they have diagnosed it as being the auxilary air valve and 2 hoses. i am waiting on a call from jeff at zed world to see if he has them or can get them but if this is a dead end, where can i get them quickly (and don't say nissan as there is a 3 week wait if they can get them at all!) the part numbers are 22660-30p10 14099-30p02 14099-30p01 Please someone help me :helpsmilie:

Hi, can anyone help me please.... Just put my zed back on the road and it died the next day!! It all started a year ago when I went over a speed hump too quick (accidentally by the way) I hit the speed hump at about 30 while braking hard and my zed instantly started running very rough, massively underpowered and holding back so I thought I must have knocked a hose off or damaged an intercooler maybe, but I looked everywhere and could find nothing. Right heres what ive done and what ive done since, let me explain. when i bought my car it was a standard lwb tt i think, but had an aftermarket boost controller fitted. the boost controller had no instructions and i didnt and still dont know how it works, bassically i wound it up and done my oil seals in my tubs. Now over sometime i have taken out engine replace with newbuilt tubs with 360 degrease bearings and stagered step oil seals or something like that. also i now have a large enough k a n air filter that feeds more clean air into the engine than the channle tunnle needs, and one super large front mount intercooler. Hi guys Just wondering if someone could tell me what (providing the oil pressure guage is working correctly) the oil pressure should be starting a tt from cold? Also, while we're at it, what would you expect the presure to be whilst driving? Cheers, Chris.
