What the hell is this buzzing noise that's just started up this afternoon!??! Earlier this week she started to run like she drops a cylinder every now and then (misfiring, occasional puff of dark grey smoke, light judder under accelleration), and now on the way home, when my foot is off the throttle, this constant vibrator/electric shaver noise comes from the dash cluster!! No change to the way she drives (other than the misfiring that started a few days ago) albeit the 'LIGHTS' warning light was constantly on, which was new as well. hey guys, ive spent everyday for a month fluffing about trying to make my z run right still got the same issue. The motor i got it with had suspected done head gaskets. misfired at idled spluttering etc. i had another motor around and dropped that in it suprise suprise same issue with the idle. (old motor is toast now) The symptoms were missing at idle and just general gutlessness. I have replaced... Motor and gearbox. ECU, TPS, PTU, AFM/MAF, All injector plugs, idle air control yellow plug changed. water pipe sensor and plug changed. Checked everything its all working does what it is supposed to for the most part. Now my Gold Ultralites are not gold anymore its time to get the second set of 18"s I have refurbed. They are Fox RS according to the centre caps and are a proper staggered size( 8" + 9"). they fitted the 300Zx they came off without resorting to spacers. I quite like them but not 100% sure. anyway I thought I would do them in a similar style to the ultralites. IE .. Polished outer lip/dish and custom metallic anthracite centres... Ive started... so Ill finish...

Keep meaning to ask this as I've seen it there loads of times. At the Kwik Fit that used to be, IIRC, Charlie's Tyres and just up the road from the pub that used to be called the Gurkha (Chef & Brewer, Red Lion or something now).

As the above mentions, Im looking at some point in January/Feb to have my Zed sprayed and kit fitted but was wondering how much roughly would this cost and is there anyone in the northwest who will do a good enough job? The kit is Scareb front bumper-Vented front wings and rear zenon wide arch and bumper kit with lower tailgate spoiler. The colour I am after is white. I know there will be add ons etc... but a rough base on each would help me. Many thanks

right, here is your chance to see if we can improve on this years JAE, for next year. If you have a issue with something this year, please but it down here, but be constructive about it, don't just say "i didn't like blah blah" with out saying what you would do to improve it. All ideas will be considered.

My engine is only running off 5 cylinders. I have replaced the spark plug, that worked for a bit. Then replaced the Ignition control pack and the spark plug, that worked for a bit. Now there is no electricity going to the ignition coil pack. Lost after this Where does that line go to? How to fix the problem?

Hi all, The time has nearly come (finally) to unlock some more power on my zed. I want to up the boost post fitment of nismo 555's but I am unsure of what should/could be done in preparation. Quick overview/current spec: Jimmer build ('07) with forged internals, Z1 GT525 turbochargers, Greddy SMIC intercoolers, divorced downpipes, decat, mongoose quad exit, apexi intake, koyo rad, Andy P chip. This spec produced 365fwhp @ 9psi and Charlie at Surrey rolling road said that all the vitals were good. So the next step was to wind up the boost, however, the duty cycle @ 9psi was touching 90% according to datscan (accurate?). I now have some nismo 555 injectors bu…

I`m really contemplating selling my TT :( ....BUT!!!!! I want to plough all the money I get from it into my vert :) I have some big plans for the vert and I never use my TT any more, its been dry ever since I purchased her 12 years ago!!! she`s got some great goodies on her, including brand new BC Coilover suspension, 19" aviator wheels, Apexi AVCR boost controller, 99spec front and rear end :) and lots more, she`s a 1990 twin turbo manual and has been loved from day 1. After it been out the body shop a matter of weeks i managed to prang the front end on a steep ramp, feel so stupid. Unsure if its repairable or not what do you guys think? at least it gets another shot at a colour match though 3rd times a charm. And if it isn't repairable then it may be time for something new for the front. Every cloud eh.... Any suggestions or ideas welcome

My car came with some tasty mods, but there is no paper work on engine internals, over the weekend I took groover out in the zed, now I've been running it with the boost controller off (9psi) but thought I'd try it with the boost controller set at the low setting on my boost controller, it went over 14 psi, I don't really want to kill my engine so I haven't even bothered trying it on the high setting as I just don't know what engine parts are in it. been having a wee look through all the pics from JAE and they are defo getting me interested in the zed again, mine has sat at the bodyshop for months now after the crash due to lack of finances and motivation for the car. I wont be having it back on the road this year however hopefully a new job in January will provide some extra funds and in the meantime i can get all the little bits done on it once its back at mine. Defo look like a good weekend though guys

Thinking of getting a set of these, but a couple of q's. I'm assuming there very loud due to the fact the have hardly anything in the way of back box. Apart from the extra loudness, what is there main attraction to running over a standard setup?
