Bonnet closed, dummy has been spat!!! just no time left for JAE :( I`ve literally changed every ecu, relay, fuse 3 times and the bitch still wont start :( ...I`ve done process of elimination on most stuff and sick of it now, tried the pump ecu and relay in my tt and they work fine, I`ve broken my series 2 ptu getting it out ,lucky I had another and still wont start, so..symptoms now are, it`s turning over and neat petrol smell from exhausts, not even a hint of firing, I have NO spark on spark plugs :( ..spark plugs are very wet The pump is pumping approx 1 litre of fuel in 25 seconds I have ripped out all of my immobiliser system and reconnected the l…

Hi folks Another day, another problem! Yesterday I fitted my speedo converter, with the help of these forums, and everything seemed okay. I went for a few short drives, played with all the switches and buttons on the dash and declared the job well done. When I got back from the pub last night I sat in front of my house and decided to play with the lights, and make sure they all checked out okay. I was turning them on and off, getting out, checking the bulbs and stuff, when suddenly I lost all power to the whole car. I got back in and shut the door, and all the power came back for about 2 minutes, then went again. The car is totally dead, and I had left…

Back end behind both rear wheels rotting away although not an MOT failure would like to sort. Can anyone recommend a welder around Manchester or Cheshire area?

Has anyone fitted one of these to a 300ZX? On 1st inspection doesn't look like enough room to house the filter with MAF adapter and rubber pipe connector? Any help appreciated.

I'm after some gauges that look look similar to the OEM dials in the dash. Does anyone know of any manufacturers that make them. I've found some made by smiths international which I quite like: However, I don't really like the range in the water gauge going to 150 as it renders most of the scale pointless and the nominal operating temp will sit low down in the scale. They sell this style which has a much better scale but I don't really like the fact that they don't match the boost gauge with the full sweep: What do you reckon? Any other manufacturers that make something similar? CheerZ

Need a ECU temp sensor plug, as both cars that are working required one, so ive got the one off my blue car on the black one, but need one for the other zed.

my headlights look old and dim is there anyway of refurbing the rubber trim around the headlights?

Well i had big expectations of myself to get the car painted in time for JAE, but after refettling the body work and fitting stuff, as per, i ran out of time. I redid the whole back end as there will little cracks and lines in the bumper, so thats primed, re did the front bumper, what a mess that was in. 99 spec, bumper had caught a curb and split at the bottom, so had to repair that then fit the new lip, but primered at least. Did the roof bars black, but im going to re do them when i get back as im not happy. I did take out the headlights and painted the cross member and behind the lights, so i managed to get some colour on it, but ive had enough after 2 w…

can someone explain this too me please, was on concept Z's website, and some are asking for grade and not others...? do i still need grades if i fit forged pistons and rods, along with ACL race(heavy duty) bearings? and what does the extra oil clearance mean?

Hi guys, I`m still having trouble :( car is stuck on the drive again and wont start!!! ahhhhhhhh ..booked into zedworld on Friday morning I`ve got a fuel pump ECU getting delivered tommorrow, and I really hope its that, but previously where i could hear the fuel pump, there is no sound at all now?? I know everyone says the fuel pumps don`t go wrong, but I do really think mine is goosed!? could be wrong and could be getting paranoid now anyway where`s the fuel pump on a vert (swb) Thanks :(

decatting my LWB twin turbo. Stainless front pipes going onto a japspeed catback system. what size gaskets do I want? 2x 2.5" triangular gaskets for turbo end + 2x 3" gaskets crossover pipe end? or is it still 2.5"? I get mixed results when i search ebay for them, and dont yet have the pipes to measure them!

Hi everyone I'm currently in the process of fitting an electronic speedo converter to my Z, but having a little trouble. Its a JDM one that reading in KPH, so I got hold of one of those little chips off the internet to convert it. I believe I've successfully spliced it into the speed sensor line that runs into the back of the speedo gauge, but I also need to connect it to a (+12v) line and (Neg) line and am having trouble finding a suitable one. Does anyone have any suggestions? The cables attached to the converter are about 4 inches long so they have to be fairly close to the socket in the back of the speedo gauge. Cheers for the input! Hi guys, I got an original 99spec front bumper today 3wks of waiting lol. It's new and never been painted, any tips on how to paint it, got someone doing it for me, but unsure what to buy, last bump the paint cracked when towing car the rope chipped some paint and then it started chipping more and more. Someone said u get stuff to put in paint to make it flexible, and special primer. What order would Do they go on. Also another paint question, putting some stone chip in my rear arches can I stone chip over old stone chip or do I have to remove it all. Any help appreciated, thank u.

I went with a friend to buy an E46 M3 the other day and it hasnt half rekindled my love for the blue and white roundel. Its always been my game plan to have an E39 M5 someday, I'm just begining to think that "someday" might be "soonday". Argh dont know what to do about my zed, if I sell it i'll probably regret it but then again it is getting to be a right pain in the backside having two two seater vehicles! I love the way my slicktop looks and drives but its the longest i've ever had a car (despite probably doing the least miles in it of any car!) and I think i'm just getting ready for a change?

Sorry i cant tell you exactly where on the a446 as im guessing its quite a long road lol, i just check my sat nav quick to find the road number, but it was pretty much the same place as the maroon one, on a dual carriageway bit further down from a shell petrol station. Was going the other way so you wouldnt have seen me. Dark grey, maybe a 2 seater as the rear window looked smaller then mine, had a spoiler but not one that sticks up a lot, the ones that are joined to the boot. And i only saw the rear half of the car.

As i have been looking through some of the post tonight and the last few days ,some of our fellow zedders are struggling with various issues on there zeds on the eve of JAE ,,SO I HAVE ASK THE SPIRIT IN THE SKY WHO BELIEVE IT OR NOT OWNS A ZED TO HELP YOU ALL OUT AND SEE YOU ALL IN THE MARQUEE IN A COUPLE OF DAYS.:thumbup:

Evening chaps, Some of you may have seen a thread on here posted by the previous owner - after the engine turns off, a small leak was happening towards the rear of the engine. Now, the leak is getting worse. Driving home from Squires this evening (pics to follow seperately) the car seemed to be getting pretty hot and a hissing noise was coming from the passenger side of the engine. After getting home, there was more steam than normal as well. I'm taking it to Zedworld next Tuesday but I'm a bit worried that the car isnt going to make it! Has anyone got any ideas? Thanks Alex

As stated in my heading I am trying to find out what the speed pulse setting is of the 300zx as I have fitted an heads up unit which needs to kinow this setting ? so if any one as an idea please feel free to share with me. Thanks

well my blue one has the autobahn 888 FMIC on it and my black one has Z1 large side mount intercooler on it, im tempted to switch to the front mount, its larger capacity over all and the large front opening to my bumper seems empty with out anything in it, though could really do with some sort of mesh in there to stop stones hitting my z1 oil cooler. thoughts?

I need to replace my rear plate (17cm x 33cm) and just wondered where everyone else got theirs made? I used fancyplates for my front 3/4 size one but I remember people saying they used ebay for the rear size....but I cant seem to find them on ebay anywhere :(
